Great experience! I went in for a serpentine belt replacement. It took twice as long for the replacement and the guy had to bring in help because it was much more work than he thought. But he still charged me the quoted price and didnt charge me for the extra time. Recommended!

Drollinger diagnosed a coolant leak when looking at my brake line that had just blown up the street from their shop. I paid another mechanic more than $300 to tell me that they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and switched my radiator cap a couple weeks before. I was still leaking coolant and could smell it in the cab of my truck. Drollinger saw that it was my water pump that was leaking when they had it up on the lift checking out my brake line. We waited a week until my next paycheck and they repaired it for less than the diagnostic test was from the other mechanic. They are real mechanics that can diagnose a problem, while most other shops in town simply part swap. I am happy to say that i haven’t lost any coolant since they replaced my water pump and that Drollinger is my go-to mechanic in Champaign.

Ive used Drollinger Auto Repair a few times now for some relatively extensive repairs, and I have walked away satisfied each time. The crew at Drollinger gave me detailed explanations of the work each time, and cleared each procedure with me before performing. When ordering parts from the manufacturer proved to be too expensive for my budget, Darren helped me find the same part for a much cheaper price on eBay. They even picked me up once so I didnt have to walk through the rain to get my car! Truly above and beyond my expectations every time. They will be my go-to auto repair service as long as I am staying in the Champaign-Urbana area!

My daughter and son in law were going to Urbana to see their infant son at Carle Hospital. They had car problems with my car on interstate 57 and finally limped into Urbana late evening. I called Drollinger the next morning from my home 120 miles away. They fixed the vehicle that day and priced the repairs honestly. I highly recommend them.

I went to Drollinger Auto several years ago to replace a broken steering linkage on a Ford Taurus that rendered it borderline undrivable. Im posting this review because for the first time since that incident I need maintainence beyond my ability and going through the frustration of finding an skilled and honest mechanic in my new city reminded me of the service I got back in C-U.Not only was the repair completed in a timely fashion and expertly done, but Toby Drollinger called me the next day after giving me an estimate telling me that he found a better deal on the part needed and it was going to cost me $100 less than he initially told me. He could have easily pocketed the money and I would have paid the estimate without questions. But he was incredibly honest when he didnt need to be and that honesty has me wishing I still lived in Champaign so I could let him fix this problem with my new car.

Great mechanic, service-minded, and very trustworthy. On the higher side for price of labor, but is a very honest mechanic and will call you to make sure the price of something is okay with you before he does anything.
