Purchased: CSH 8ft. rolling library ladder.I am 100% satisfied with my ladder. The library takes up all 4 walls--including over the door, but excluding the window in the one wall -- and I need the ladder to reach my oldest, paperback, books. Using simple clear varnish made the ladder match the shelves to appear as if they were built at the same time. In the one photo you may notice indirect lighting running around the tops of all the shelves--a rope light with aluminum foil to reflect the light upwards. All I really need now are more shelves (larger library). The extra help you gave me, and your instant response to what turned out to be my own mistake (a couple of parts were lost in the packaging and not found until after you sent me replacements). I give CSH the maximum stars: for a great product and fantastic service!

I have used CS Hardware for all the hardware in two complete kitchen renovations. The prices are the best on the internet, but the real star is their service. I had one incorrect item out of a very large order. Within hours of emailing them, a replacement order was shipped to correct the mistake. Bravo!

We were referred to CSH by our builder. We went there (a 25 minute drive) on a recent Friday at mid-morning and they were closed with no explanation. The website stated their hours were 8-4:30 M-F. Very frustrating. So, the following Friday we called first to make sure they were open and they reassured us they were. We drove over again, discovered the door was locked with a sign that says they only take call-in orders. So we called them while standing at the front door and were informed that since they are moving the showroom is not open but they could bring out a catalog! We are not buying cabinet hardware for our entire new home without even seeing it first. But more importantly, why didnt the person who answered the phone the first time we called tell us the showroom is closed and the store is locked??? When I pointed that out (while on the phone standing in front of their store) and stated how perhaps I should just shop where my business is actually wanted, I got no response from the other person. Evidently they really dont care, so we will shop elsewhere and we will also make sure our builder and our friends are aware of the customer service (or lack of) that this store offers. We always try to shop local and were very disappointed by the entire experience!

After comparing several types of library ladders online, we ordered a custom Putnam ladder from CSH. Total length of the ladder was 12’-3” for the rail height we needed. The ladder spans 11’ and arrived unfinished with polished brass hardware.Package was complete and everything in it immaculate. The red oak was well sanded, nick-free and perfect for painting.Very easy to assemble with good instructions.Danny made the ordering process super easy and helped arrange, with Andrew, return of a couple cast brackets we didn’t need.Couldn’t be happier with the ladder or CSH!Mark

WOW - This company with personal oversight with people that actually understand hardware and their products serve their customers beyond any web application. Yes, as a seasoned buyer of hardware I ordered the incorrect slides, they figured that out noticing that the slides did not match the locking devices I selected and they called me. After a quick conversation, I have the correct slides on the way for my next project which is actually a wedding gift for one of our children.

Wow! I found this company through one of their YouTube videos regarding drawer slides. I followed Tiffs (movie star in YouTube video) advice because she invited me to call with any questions I had. I definitely had questions about my project. Before getting to this point, I had visited Home Depot and Lowes to try and answer the questions I had, without any success. I purchased some slides off Amazon, but they werent quite what I was looking for. After watching a Tips from Tiff video, I found myself talking to Francisco (on their great customer service team) who was able to understand my project, frustrations, and issue THEN actually provide customer service... great customer service I might add. He knew what I was looking for AND made some recommendations that would help my project go smoother. He also didnt forget to suggest parts that didnt come with the slides that I was ordering (screws). As I get older I have started to realize the value of good customer service. I now tell people who treat me well that I appreciate their good customer service. I avoid shouting from the rooftops (or social media) when I have a bad experience, I just simply dont return and only tell people (in person) about the product or business when it comes up. If you are in the market for hardware, this is definitely a business I would gladly recommend.

I purchased 3 pairs of undermount soft-close slides (No. 39.3300.15) and they have been working fantastically for 4 months at the time of writing. I am very impressed with the quality to price ratio.Furthermore, I am exceptionally glad I went with CSH over Amazon because their customer service is as exceptional as their hardware. I emailed a question in one night about what kind of slides I should order for my next DIY project and the next day, Francisco gave me a ring. I missed his call, so he left me a very detailed voice mail and when I was able to call him back, he and I hashed out a new plan for retrofitting some slides on an antique drawer.I dont plan on always shopping for hardware with CSH first. In fact, the only reason Id shop else where is if CSH doesnt have what I need.

Had a refund issue that quickly addressed and sorted. Would buy from them again!

Our builder walked away 4 weeks before our home was complete and did not complete the cabinets purchased from CSH either. I called Chris at CSH hoping to get some help and he was unhelpful and rude. One panel on the side of our $30k cabinets is made out of cardboard. If someone leaned on it, their hand would run right through it. Chris suggestion was to paint it and call my rep, who is my builder, who I am now suing. Save yourself and buy your cabinets somewhere else.

What a disappointment. The Customer Service portion of their name is very misleading. We ordered JSI cabinets from James. The cabinet quality was nothing like the showroom cabinet. James was slow to respond to our requests for information. CSH lacked any indication that they would do anything beyond the most rudimentary responses. Buyer beware. CSH will not help you resolve any issues you might have.

We remodeled a kitchen and spent some time reading reviews as well as pricing before ordering the cabinets online. Some minor damage in shipping and they took care of it ASAP. The personal service is excellent. They even called to ask for pictures when we were done! Prices are competitive. Great company.

Excellent Service!!!! My new cabinets, some of the doors were hitting the wall or an appliance. Contacted Sam who directed me to Blum hinges and re-stricter clips that only allowed the doors to open 86 degrees instead of the 110 degrees. He asked for a picture of my hinges to insure that I got the right hinges, he also sent me instructions on how to install them. Quick, fast professional service.

I could not find a Knape and Vogt 10 soft close drawer slide anywhere in stock. I had an urgent need so I contacted CS Hardware and asked if they really had it in stock. The reason I asked was because some online retailers list ship dates as next day when the item is not in stock. A CS Hardware rep responded within a hour that they had 40 in stock. This was a Friday morning order. Only one shipping option was offered, but I added a comment regarding my urgent need. Wendy called me at noon. I missed the call, but called Wendy at 3pm. She went to the shipping dept and was able to retrieve my order before it left. I was able to select a next day delivery by 10:30am (yes, it arrived on time). Now that just shows what one great company CS Hardware is with employees like Wendy and the rep to responded so quickly!

I drove 35 minutes to pick up a paint/varnish stripper from Custom Service Hardware in Cedarburg -- they were the closest dealer of this product from my home. My GPS had me set to arrive only 5 minutes before they closed, so I called them to ask if I could pay for it via credit card and Id be able to quickly pick it up when I arrived. A gentleman named Larry took me information and said everything would be ready when I arrived. I was about 10 minutes away when my toddler started throwing up in the car (she gets motion sickness from time to time). After getting her cleaned up and cleaning up the car seat, it was almost time for CSH to close. I called them again, and spoke to a different gentleman, who said they would be happy to leave the front door open for me until I arrived. What service!!! I arrived at 4:45, 15 minutes after they were supposed to close, with the front door unlocked just like they promised and my paint stripper and receipt waiting for me. Wow! These people have a loyal customer for life!

Ok so I have been looking for chrome closet rods because I am changing around my finished closet. Everyone and their brother wanted crazy money for these rods. The closest size I could find was 48 yet I needed 37 1/16 which is no big deal because I could cut it to size, right? Well, I find this site and see they offer these chrome rods for $7.95 for 8 feet!! I buy two of them and 8 flanges and shipping for less than had I bought one 48 rod and 2 flanges! I received my order the very next day to my surprise! I am thrilled. They are rather good packers so it did take me some time to open. :-) Thank you CSH!!!

I did initially have some customer service issues, but management was responsive in correcting the mistakes that were made. And I do think the hardware is great.

I ordered cabinet pulls and the description on the website is very misleading. It says 25/box next to it. I took that as I was going to be getting 25 pulls. No. ONE pull showed up. Why would I spend $17 with shipping for one pull! Customer service was a joke when I called.
