Clean, lots of variety, Im going to shop here more, they have just as good as hy-vee, which is always higher than any other store, definitely going to do my shopping there, tired of paying twice the price of groceries at hy-vee

While they may not have everything, they are one of the best grocery stores in Cedar Rapids. Prices are extremely competitive.And, you really save money,there! If there is something they dont have in stock, ask Jim, the manager, and hell bend over backwards to try and get it for you. GREAT PLACE FOR SOUTHERN STYLE FOODS! Produce is good,as well. On 8/20/2021 at the Cedar Rapids Iowa store I bought 2 Mexican beef ribeye steaks. They had a sell quick red sticker on it. We went straight home and a 10 minute drive if that even. The steaks went straight into the freezer as I wasnt sure what night I was going to cook them. I put them in the fridge to thaw out out over night on 8/22/2021 and when I opened the package on 8/23/2021 they smelled bad. On 8/25/2021 I took them back just to have the manager with long blonde hair tell me we should have cooked them the day we bought them. She was mad and rude and just kept going on on that we should have cooked them that day. They should not be selling bad meat because with the meat being frozen it would not have spoiled and even when I opened the package the steaks were still partially frozen. So the meat was bad when it was sold. I have taken food safety classes and worked in food service for years so her being rude and talking down to me was uncalled for. Selling spoiled food can make people extremely sick and should not happen. I should have taken a picture of the 10 pound tubes they tried selling for 75 dollars last summer after the derecho that was price gouging jacking up the price during a pandemic and right after a disaster should have turned it into the attorney general office the other stores was selling the same for 30 dollars. But wont be back dont need the rudeness from a manager.

I absolutely love Save-A-Lot. They have low prices and good deals. The people who work there are amazing and they treat you like family. They are kind. And they provide boxes for you to carry your groceries out. They have a fantastic selection of meat as well

They have a good selection of products. Meat, dairy, snacks, produce. Lots of diverse products too. The employees are always very nice and go out of their way to say hello. My favorite thing about this place is they do not enforce lawless regulations. If you choose to mask, great. If you choose not to, also great. They have my business for life. Also why I will always shop here, after the flood in 08, they allowed people to come in and get what they need, as they were going to lose it anyway. Class acts at save a lot.

Excellent prices though there are a lot of items they dont carry, probably due mainly to the small size of the store.

I dropped by here after getting off work, which was about five minutes prior to closing. I was able to shop without being told to hurry up due to closing time. 15 minutes later, I go to the cash to be met by one of the sweetest little ladies I ever met! Save a Lot is a great place for your grocery needs. You get same great products as name brand for a good price that dont hurt your pockets. They sometimes have that product your local main chain stores dont have. So get on down to Save a Lot and start saving some money!!

Neat clean store. Buy your can goods here you will pay 1/2 the price of the big stores. Your family can afford to eat thick ribeye steaks, T Bone steaks or New York strip $3.95 to $5.95 a pound. Your grocery bill will be cut in half shopping at Save A Lot.

Cheap groceries. Some good buys at times, but the meat & produce can be quite scary!!! It smells like carcasses when you walk in. Smoked meat is good & the little Debbie snacks are not rotated properly. I made a mistake & didnt look at the date purchasing expired snack cakes. Overall, if your family is large & want to save on food Sav A Lot is the place to go to make your dollars stretch!!

It was a little cheaper than a normal grocery store. They do a lot to keep the cost down. I couldnt find some brand name items only off brand items. You will have to bring your own bags. Its a good place if you not picky about Brand names and are on a budget.

A cheap clean place to pickup a few items ya need worth stopping at

Very irritating. So I got help with some food vouchers. I got my stuff and got to the front of the line. All my stuff gets rung up. And she doesnt know how to ring in a food voucher. She calls for a manager over the intercom about the voucher. And Im so embarrassed, theres a line forming, people are getting mad. And the cashier was being loud about it and talking to the other costumers about it while I bagged my stuff.. Love your store because its cheap and has good stuff but try not to embarrass people while your at it please.

This is my go to grocery store. Its not a superstore and it has the mom & pop corner market feel that I really like. The staff gives you a friendly, personal shopping experience and they are always willing to help.
