I received a call from Jeremiah at Iron Lotus Tattoo in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I was talked to like I was a child after explaining that I was unhappy with the service that I received because he cancelled our appointment 40 minutes before it was supposed to happen (after I waited forever it for 3 months) then said he can’t get me in until 9 months after originally scheduling the appointment.I was cut off continuously after trying to reply to his rebuttals. He continued to berate me and tell me that they have the discretion to not refund deposits at any time (even though I didn’t cancel the appointment and after the way I was treated don’t even want to step foot here again). He then continued to make fun of me for not wanting to get the tattoo after he told me he did not feel good. Why would I want to sit through five hours of tattooing with a person who just told me they don’t feel good?I then told him that I would be leaving a negative review on all social media and review platforms, told him I would be telling every single one of my friends to go to neon dragon or platinum rose, and told him I would never be setting foot in his establishment again. His response was, and I quote, “well that’s not how you’re going to get your deposit back.”I said “You weren’t going to give itto me anyway so I guess enjoy the free $100.”I highly recommend that every single person in Iowa that wants a tattoo to go to Neon Dragon or Platinum Rose or anywhere that is NOT Iron Lotus.

Two of my friends and I got tattoos here and they are wonderful. The quality of the tattoos are great, the environment was very friendly, and the artist, Alice, was fantastic. It was my first tattoo and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Everything was very clean, too.

Here you have lovely people who genuinely care about their craft, I got my tattoo about a year and a half ago and it still looks as amazing as when I got it. I tell anyone who asks me about it or is talking about getting a tattoo to go to the Iron Lotus. The first photo was the day of and the second is now. I have full intentions of getting more work done when I can as afford to do so. 10/10 would recommend. 😊

Everyone there has amazing talent. I return to Cat every time. Shes hilarious, very personable, and has great skill!The atmosphere is great and they typically have action or comedy movies playing so even if you dont want to chat you can be entertained. But Ive gotten 5 of my tattoos from her and she will continue to be my go-to.

Took my 7 yo to get her ears pierced and Gish was kind, patient, and gentle and went above and beyond to make the experience fun and enjoyable. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Gish was so charming I almost forgot to pay her! She did an amazing job piercing my eyebrow!

The fact that you can get such amazing tattoos from a shop in the mall is astounding to me, they all really go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for you and they are always friendly, personable, and professional no matter what. One of the only tattoo shops I would trust to draw on me permanently.

I’m extremely disappointed 😫 I got a finger tattoo and it turned out pretty good originally (I thought) when leaving I was told you get a free touch up within a year. Well, I needed that no more than a month later because it had sleet faded quite a bit and that was not a good feeling. So, I scheduled my touch up just to go in and have it come out looking completely different. Originally it was pretty and dainty. Now the thin lines are thick and there are several little trails in the leaves now missing. I hate it now!

Will never get my piercings from anywhere else but here

My friends and I went in for the $30 tattoo specials, our artist was Kristin. This was my very first tattoo and she was very helpful with talking me through ware to put it and how to care for it. She took her time doing each of our tattoos, at no point did I feel she was trying to rush them. She was very nice and patient and kept her station very clean.We will definitely be going back and recommending to others.

As a young girl with High Functioning Autism. I consider my self as an Odd One. So I went to Iron Lotus because my mom and boyfriend recommend me to go there. And Trent was a really cool dude. My best friend and her sister had an appointment with Alice at 11pm to get matching tattoos and they are still waiting 4 hrs later.. all the while Alice has had her feet kicked up, took 3 hrs to do a 3 inch tattoo did 3 piercings and has made time to stuff her face while her clients are sitting there patiently waiting.. She’s bad for business.! I will never go to or refer anyone to Iron Lotus.! 🅿️💯 I wish I didn’t have to leave a star rate because they don’t even deserve it..

Got my nose repierced. The lady was fun, considerate, and willing to answer any questions i had. The price was a little high for a simple nose piercing but oh well. Will be back for another!

Everyone there is super awesome and great, especially for first timers. They try to make you as comfortable as possible, they do an amazing job for the price, and are very personable. Trent and Cat have done my tattoos and they did a beautiful job. I also love the male piercer there, he is the best Ive experienced.

Got a tattoo about a year ago. They didn’t tell me until after I got it that it was by an apprentice. I got it touched up a month later when the color started falling out and it was completely healed. Well it’s been a year now and there’s so many gaps and spots where it’s fading fast. I thought maybe my skin just didn’t hold ink well but I’ve gotten other tattoos and no other one has done this. New place I go to said it looks like the guy who did it isn’t going deep enough and that’s why it’s falling out quickly. Not impressed

Amazing, I get all my piercings done here! Even when its just someone I dont know running the piercings, I trust them so much because I trust this shop to not hire anyone terrible. Not to mention that I have brought in 2 people for their first piercings, and every time, the piercers are kind and patient. Above and beyond here!

Amazing place, Ive had 5 ear piecings done here and they were extremely nice considering how much of a wuss I can be. Cat did mine, & they all went & healed really well. I even stopped in a couple times just to ask if it was hearing properly and get some tips, and they were great. I plan to come back here for all of my piercing, and most likely tattoo, needs.

They were running a special close to my birthday. Easy and inexpensive for my mom. Went in as the opened on the first day but they couldnt do it that day because they didnt have the staff.Went in on a Monday right after they opened only to be told it would have to come back again. 3 people sitting around doing nothing but I have to come back later? Bad bad business.
