A faulty part was installed in my car by Midas. I went back when it started having its old issues and asked if the part could be faulty, and was told by Rick it just needed cleaned. Went to another place and they told me the part was both faulty and an incompatible aftermarket part, and installed a working one for cheaper than Midas did. Asked Rick for a refund, which he agreed to, and said hed email me a receipt. A week and a half later, no receipt, no refund.Update: received an email from Rick (7 business days later) informing me that they needed my invoice in order to refund me. I responded informing him that he has it on file and I sure would hate to get my attorney involved. He immediately issued my refund. 2 stars for the slight redemption arc.Good luck if you go here for anything bigger than an oil change.

Rick and the team there have consistently been wonderful to work with! They’re kind, easy going, and have very accommodating appointment times. Their prices are quite competitive to boot!

Took my car in for an oil change,tune up and asked them to check for exhaust leak. They indicated there was not an exhaust leak but had a small oil leak. They put in order for a new oil pan. Took the car home parked it for the day. I woke up next morning to find oil leaked out of my car all over my carport. My car wasnt leaking oil at all when I took it to midas Im sure I would have noticed. I take back to them pick it up next day and the car smells like gasoline inside and out as well as oil still leaking from car. They said they cant find a gas/exhaust leak. These people are incompetent and ignorant and scammers and have left me without transportation, I was unable to work and have to find another machanic . I had to have my car towed twice to the Midas location and they refuse to refund my towing fees. I wouldnt even give them a one star rating. Please be aware of this company!

Misleading advertising: oil change, $25. Sign posted on property. However, they dont inform you about $4 filter, or if thats optional, $6.54 labor, $2 oil disposal. Total oil change: 42.32. Then in attempt to get more money, they present to you a dirty filter of some sort, asking if you want it change. This advertising is sneaky and not forthcoming. Be clear of total charges upfront. I learned my lesson, and wont return.

I go to this Midas store because they are convenient to where I work. I have been to them twice. The first time I went to them, I had picked up something in my tire on the interstate. They were helpful and responsive and took care of my concern the same day without an appointment. The second experience I had with them was also great. I had a sensor go bad and they diagnosed it for me. They found the part quickly and gave me a fair price to change it. Again, same day service with no appointment. I trust them and will go back to them in the future.

Complete waste of time (and $40) as they tried to pull the old bait and switch on me. I needed 4 new tires, a brake job and a synthetic oil change The Midas website advertises top of the line tires for $169 each and they were having a sale buy 3 get the 4th free. I also called and asked for an estimate on a brake job and was told it would be around $500 for both axles. When I got to the shop I was told the website was wrong and advertised tires that werent available and that the set would be over $900 AFTER deducting for the free tire. This was about $300 more than quotes I received elsewhere so I politely declined. Then I went ahead with the $39 brake inspection thinking I would at least get the oil change and brake job since I had already taken the time to go to Midas. Mike called me 2 hours later to tell me that the rotors and calipers were fine and that I only needed pads and that the cost would be over $1,100! He couldnt explain the disparity and I quickly declined. I took my car to the local repairman and got 4 top of the line Cooper tires, a 4 wheel brake job and a synthetic oil change for $775. I wasted several hours of my day and had to pay $39 for a brake inspection because I fell pray to one of the oldest cons in the book. Dont be me.

I am so glad that I chose to come to Midas on Knots Abbot, the customer service is very impressive. I decided to wait while my car was being serviced & was please to hear the manger, Rick greeting all of the customers but the most importantly I recognized how the customers spoke very well about the service they received & how much they liked, “Mr. Rick”!, I instantly knew I would be returning for future repairs & maintenance! I also want also include the crew, for all the hard work & thank Mike for explaining all of the work that was necessary to make sure my car was safe. Robert, a tech that works in the back was very friendly, thank you all for your customer service & professionalism, it really counts!!!

Rick was very helpful. The mechanics seem well educated also and seem honest about what services need to be done up the road for next services. I’d give it a try if your in the west Columbia area..this Midas is probably the most honest one out there..

The heat shield on my car was loose, and the guys here gave me two options - they could remove it and I just wouldn’t have one, or they could replace it. As we were discussing these options, one of the mechanics said he thought he could fix it. And he did - took a couple of oversized washers and tightened the heat shield back into place! I was in and out of the shop in 15 minutes, and y’all, they didn’t charge me a cent. Wow. I will be going back there. Customer service like I got today has won me over.

Took my honda pilot in with ignition problem. Charged $139 for ignition disassembly and told the push button needed replacent. Then told another $120 labor to plug in the part. I told Mike that seemed unreasonable since I had already paid to have them take everything apart. He called me back to tell me that they would only charge me $60 to plug in the new part. Total cost $352. The part was $125. Shane did the work. He is wonderful. And I have previously given a 5 star rating to Midas and Shane and Harrison for their always great work. My car is good to go now. But I cant help but think this store has changed.

Went in for a basic oil change. After 45 minutes, I asked when it would be ready and they said they were still waiting on a filter. I told them I needed to go and they said I couldn’t because they had drained the oil. I had to ask them to rotate the tires four times before they finally did. They wrote all kinds of things wrong with the car on the receipt that they said they discussed with me ~ they didn’t let me know about any of it. Came to almost 70 bucks with a coupon. Horrible customer service. Never again!

We had never been here before but our tires needed to be filled with air desperately. They were very nice and took care of us right away. We will definitely be going here again in in the future.

Fantastic people and business. Had some low tire pressure on tires I didn’t even buy from them. They helped me get my tires back to the right pressure at no cost. Stand up people and look forward to using them for all my car care needs in the future!

Just want to say how pleased I am with my experience and the interactions with the kind folks at Midas in Cayce. After my vehicle sustained significant damage, it was towed to Midas where I planned to consider my repair options. As someone who historically has trusted vehicle repairs only to car dealerships, this experience makes me reconsider that preference. During the 2-week repair period, Rick Best of Midas communicated with me regularly and promptly, always calling me back or answering my emails with simple yet complete responses (including “before and after” pictures for insurance purposes). My sense all along was that he genuinely felt bad for my predicament and wanted to provide as quick and thorough a solution as possible. Even better … when I told him early on that I was considering having my car towed to a nearby dealer, Rick never once changed his attitude toward me! He continued to care about my situation and provide advice to the best of his ability and his experience. When someone’s authentic concern for another’s situation is then “backed-up” with excellent service, it becomes impossible NOT to tell someone about this!! Midas in Cayce along with Rick and their staff get my highest recommendation. Thanks again, Rick!!

I went to get an basic oil change. The other day. I was told by a white older guy working at the reception desk for a basic oil change it would be $37.00 an i looking at him while he looks like he unsure about the price. Mind u he was talking an acting like he didnt really wanna serve me..he waited about 3 mins before even acknowledging me because he was to busy inputting something in the computer..before i knew it i was walking back to my car irritated from him.. I kindly went up the street to precision tune on knoxx abott where my basic oil change was only $25.00 with tax included an the service an customer service was pleasant and i was satisfied.

I RECOMMEND!I brought a 15 passenger minibus to this location while I was in town working at the fair in Columbia. There were multiple issues with my vehicle, and I understand that these guys do not usually work on vehicles of this size, but these guys jumped on it with no questions and had it fixed within just a few hours. Shane (I believe hes the store manager) made sure everything was in working order and cleaned up before I paid for the repairs, so there was no question in my mind about the quality of workmanship as I drove away. That peace of mind is priceless. Its been a month now and everything is still working perfectly. Thank you guys. 2 other shops failed to resolve the issues you fixed so quickly.

OMG. Great all around service in a clutch. So basically I was pressed for time and really felt like the world was crashing around me. Low and behold Midas came through. Well I should say Mike (who works there). They helped me out by putting my spare on . i tend to forget i have one too. Anyway tried to patch me up and couldnt because of my tire. But i knew i needed a new tire. Or all around new tires. Now i am about to be off to work with just being late by 15 min.

Ive been to this Midas a few times in my short time here in Columbia. The staff is always friendly and great. Ive interacted with Harrison, Shane, and Olivia the most and they have been extremely professional in letting me know what is going on with my car and working with me through the entire process. I would recommend anyone to go here.

I set up an appointment to get my oil changed with the store manager over the phone. He quoted me $37 for an oil change however when I came to pick up my car the next day the gentleman who I spoke with named Rick was not there and another gentleman charged me $74 for what I was quoted 37 while making the appointment. I despise businesses that lie and are inconsistent. He also wouldn’t allow me to use a coupon that was emailed to me from Midas. I won’t do that again. I’d rather be quoted $100 and pay that amount rather than being scammed for more money. Completely unprofessional and unless they rectify the situation I won’t return.

I brought 4 brand new tires...6-18-2020...under 500miles.I traveled..no warranty...I went back in November..one tire was abnormal..they said my warranty expired...HOW....I brought another tire..I didnt go anywhere..it went flat...NO MORE MIDAS FOR ME

Received an appointment for their oil change which comes with tire rotation and overall check . They gave me information about my car and things it needs now, and in the maybe in the future . No sells were pushed . This is a great place to go to maintain your car

I have been coming to this location for 2 years for my oil changes and maintenance. Each visit has been quick and easy and the staff is always helpful. It’s just a short drive from downtown making it very convenient and I will continue to come back.

Quick friendly service from Harrison and Jeffrey. Walk me through the process and brought me out to view what was wrong with my vehicle. They worked with me and got me the service I needed while letting me know what I should be on the look out for in the future. I will definitely be back again.

I let them upsale me on some carbon cleaning nonsense and when i got the car it was worse off and they had the nerve to charge me for the diagnosis of what THEY did. Not only that, but the main thing i took it in for was the AC. They couldnt even do it because the AC tech, (which btw any of them couldve just hooked it up to a machine) was on vacation, but on my appointment date, he was mysteriously still on vacation. Ultimately, idk if covid is affecting this location, but i wouldnt waste my time

My vehicle went up in smoke and Midas was there for me. Harrison was very understanding and comforting when I was frantic over the phone. He was very knowledgeable and assured me that they could help. Midas had me up and running in less than 24hrs. The following day I got dropped off to pick up my vehicle. Jeffrey greeted me and told me I didn’t have to wait in the cold about 10min prior to opening. I’m so thankful for such an impressive customer service experience. Thank you so much guys!

Ive taken several of my vehicles to Midas for things over the years and have been satisfied with the service I received. However, after my last visit, I will not be back. I took a vehicle in to be diagnosed and I even provided the codes the car had. I was told that I needed to replace 2 parts and was given an estimate for almost $1,000. I ask if they were sure that those parts needed replacing and was told they guarantee those parts were the problem. I decided not to fix the car at the moment and was charged $160. Two days later I was talking to a friend and didnt realize her son was a mechanic he came and checked the car out for me and the only thing that was wrong with the car was a fuse!! It cost me less than $1.00 for the fuse and the car is running great. I went down to the office to check on their guarantee and the man that helped me was off that day. Went again the following day but he was at lunch. Left my number for him to call me but I have yet to hear anything. Not a call, message or anything. So much for that guarantee or them standing behind what they tell you!! The mechanic that found the problem said he didnt understand how they could have come up with that diagnosis if the fuse was blown which should have been one of the first things that was checked. Seriously $160 for a blown fuse? And quoted almost $1,000 to fix it. I wonder if thats what they were gonna charge me for a fuse or if they were gonna replace the broken parts at all. Guess I will never know considering Ive been ignored since I brought it to their attention!! I know times are hard right now but come on thats going too far. Glad I didnt allow them to finance the repair for me, that would have been even worse!! Think I will take my business elsewhere.

I recently had an oil change, tire rotation, and other diagnostics done and the staff were extremely courteous and informative. It was overall a pleasant experience.

This is the best Midas to come to I first went to the one on sunset Blvd they didnt do anything I paid for or requested but change the oil so Jeffery Stevenson (manager) I reached out to him and told him the issue he told me to come here to Knox abbot and they would make it right so here I am now and they are doing it free of charge these guys are awesome!!! I cant thank Jeffery enough I will definitely be a new customer to this one!!! Sunset Blvd lost me as a customer and Knox abbot location gained a customer!!! Cant thank u guys enough!!!

The fellas up here make it easier for us who aren’t mechanically inclined to understand what’s going on with our vehicles. They don’t push work and prices at you, and they’re honest about when something is and isn’t necessary. I come to them for all my Kia’s needs!

Have been coming to Midas on Knox Abbott for the past year to get oil changes and car repairs. Every time has been a great experience. Service is prompt and thorough, and the people are nice. I REALLY appreciate that the mechanics will take me to my car, point out and explain any maintenance that needs to be done and why. They are very accommodating.This week my poor Dodge finally died. Mike and Sean have been so helpful with looking at the Dodge, my new Mazda, and were nice enough to let me keep my Dodge at the shop for a day while I arranged for a junk yard to get it. And thank you to Regina too for the many calls I made to make appointments and arrangements. Your guys are the best!I am never going anywhere else!

Customer service is horrible. The young lady Olivia. english is fluent but she lack. Work ethic. She looked at the small dent on my car and told me they were not going to be able to do alignment because the frame was bent. I guess she thought i was a regular customer that new nothing about cars. I explained i sell used cars and i know for a fact that frame is not bent. At that time my car had not been jacked in the air to evaluate the problem . its a long story to what happened. Poor customer service, poor service. Based on my evaluation they are only working on easy fix. Anything that actually requires labor or brains is being sent back out the door.also i told her i was going to order my own parts and she told me labor was going to be more than usual. I understand that they cant warranty parts i get from autozone. How do you add an extra $150 to labor because the parts are from another vender. She was suppose to call just morning because i actually got there yesterday. Than when i did call she still didnt have. the numbers right. The price of the labor doesnt change but for some reason she increased the price by $150. For labor

Friendly, courteous-- reasonable and honest. Not easy to find a car person that you trust but I never feel like theyre trying to get an extra dime. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience at Midas. We bought 2 cars recently and took them in to have them checked out. We came in on Saturday morning and dropped off our first car. When they were finished with our first car they called and got us right in to take a look at our second car. They were really great with helping us understand the needs of our cars. Harrison was as awesome as could possibly be. I came in with my car on the back of a tow truck with a blown front tire. He assured me he would take care of me. They got my van off the tow truck and immediately went to work. As a single female in a new city I was surprised to see someone care so much about my feelings and what I was going through being 15 miles from home. He was courteous and genuinely kind to me. I talk a lot and he never made me feel like I was being a bother or a pain. I am truly grateful for all of the help that Harrison provided to me. The folks at Midas are honest, straightforward, and extremely helpful. They take the time and effort to involve me in understanding any repairs theyve done on my car and I feel Ive always received fair pricing and advice from them. The staff is personable and friendly, and they know me and my car.Ive been going to this location for several years and taken two cars--a 2011 Saab S3 and a Volvo V40--to them with absolutely no complaints. Excellent service and would recommend no one else.

Ive used this shop several times to mount spare tires and patch holes and theyre fine for that. However I recently purchased a trailer tire from here and after getting it home found out, despite having the same size rating on the sidewall the tire was significantly narrower than my other name brand tires. I called to ask about returning the tire since I hadnt used it and was told they couldnt accept it back since it had been mounted on a rim. I was very disappointed in the shop since the tire could be dismounted and sold to someone else without issue and there was very much an attitude of not our problem when I explained the difference.Good customer service up front, but it seems when you have a problem or try to resolve something the service goes out the window despite trying to be polite.

Had another great experience with the Midas of Cayce team today. They got my car back on the road in no time. I cant recommend this Midas enough!

Went for a check engine light and was informed that my cylinder was misfiring. 10 mins after leaving the store I broke down and had to pay to get it towed back to the store. 9 days later my car is still at the store with no real communication from the owners.

My experience everytime I go has been Great. Mike is the nicest, most kind hearted guy. He has been nothing but helpful with my car troubles. The receptionist is very sweet. Plus the mechanics that work there they know cars. 😊

Have been there for routine oil changes a few times. staff is ALWAYS friendly, and Mike always makes sure my car has what it needs to run smoothly and keep me safe on the road! I never feel like theyre trying to sell me something I dont need like other places Ive been to, and their prices are always competitive! Highly recommend letting them handle your vehicle, and Mike has truly been an angel in disguise when it came to making sure my van was up and running and able to make the trip to Bluffton last min when my check engine light came on. Will never take my familys cars anywhere else!!!

Went to Midas in Cayce SC for an estimate on my exhaust system on a Tuesday and was quite happy with their estimate, paid for parts in advance and was scheduled for Thursday. The Assistant Manager called cheerfully on Wednesday and told me parts were there and would see me the next day. Parts were installed very professionally and in no time the car was ready. I have great respect for the Management and techs there, very much people pleasers, great small talk and all. .I would Highly Recommend this Midas in Cayce for any mechanical services they offer .

Went in for A/C service on April 14th, 2018 at 10 AM. Spent over 4 hrs there just to receive an $1800 quote. To make it worse, I was charged $99 and nothing was repaired. I felt like I was taken advantage of. However, the Manager on duty was courteous and polite. I proceeded to go to another shop where I received a $600 quote and now my A/C blows cold.

Call to get a price on putting on a set of brakes way overpriced. $150 for the front axle $150 for the rear axle. And I already had the brake pads. 2 hour job.

Super friendly guys working here, very helpful and patient in helping you actually understand what’s going on with your car! Def. recommend!

I came into the shop at 330 and waited 15 minutes for an attendant to greet me while there was no one else in line. In addition to this, the inside is hot and uncomfortable to sit in - and there is no water fountain or other method of hydration while you wait. For the price of $34, thats quite an inconvenience. The salesman also incorrectly quoted me a price for 2 bulb replacements, and he took just as long to get to another customer. Overall this place seems to lack in prompt service and respect for customer time. I would not recommend it to a friend.

The guys is nice and friendly. But I have a question about their professional.There was a nail on my tire. They checked and said it cant be repaired. Then they try to sell me a tire over 300 bucks. I just thought its a trick, so I left without replacing the tire.......At the same day, i have the tire fixed by walmart at $10. Although they didnt charge me for the checking, they just would like make more money by replacing the tire.I know making profit is important for your company, but should not hurt customers interests.

Recently my brother in law had trouble with his truck and was stranded down the road. I called the store to see if they could get it in quickly and check it out. Mike, the manager told me they were closing in about 30 minutes but they would be able to take a look at it first thing Monday morning. So we had it towed in and as promised, they had it diagnosed as a bad fuel pump, had the part installed and the truck back running in no time. My brother in law is very happy with how fast they were able to fix it. Mike was very friendly and the customer service was great. They did everything they said they would do. I am due for a set of tires on my own car so I will definitely be coming to this store to have them installed.

Great stuff, always doing my tires for free. The oil changes is a little bit more than other places like jiffy lube or fire stone. Overall, I like Midas.
