Had a great experience when I came in today. Thank you Luke for all your help and knowledge!Highly recommend this repair facility to anyone in town - or passing through.
This place is a joke! Every other car place I’ve been to confirms the price before doing the service. This place however did not. Go to pay after my oil change and the dude behind the counter (larry) charged me 80 freaking dollars!! For an oil change that’s a ripoff. When I told him that I couldn’t pay that since I had paid nearly half that at another Midas for THE SAME SERVICE he basically shrugged his shoulders and said oh well. I did not have 80 to spend so I had to overcharge my account to pay for this ridiculous price. Would not recommend going here. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
My Ford truck drives like new! I cannot believe how quiet it is with the new exhaust system. These folks are great and I highly recommend them! Great service at a fair price.
Family owned and operated. Great friendly service.
Brought my overheating car in for a coolant flush since i was being lazy and had an extra buck in my pocket. The owner called me a while later telling me he had to replace the thermostat and heater core. I explained to him i had just replaced thermostat myself and flushed the heater core and that i was positive all it now needed was a coolant flush. He argued with me for a while trying to have me get all this work done until i finally got to the point where i was like listen do what i have asked you to do and nothing more please and thank you sir then said goodbye. 2-3 weeks after getting my coolant flushed there my brand new serpentine belt snapped while i was doing 80+ mph down the highway and could have killed me. Had just replaced that serpentine belt less than 2 years earlier and well lubricated. They had cut my belt because i was stern with him about only fixing what i asked. The mile i drove to safety after the belt snapping fried my alternator and battery so after replacing those and the belt i was out an extra $600 dollars in parts and potentially my life. SCREW this guy he deserves anything bad coming his way i wish i could do worse to him but a review will have to do. I would not spend any of your money here. There are better much more professional options close by that will not screw you and deserve your money alot more than the owner of this place.
Out of town, my truck started vibrating while breaking and squeaking from the front wheel. I assumed breaks and a wheel bearing.I made an appointment and asked for an opinion. They drove the truck, and told me it was the shocks. They replaced all four shocks in a few hours and totally fixed my problem! It was so simple and easy! Highly recommended.
I went to this Midas for an Oil Change and a routine Tire Rotation, but I also asked If they could look into an issue where a different company accidentally broke my remote starter. At first they told me they couldnt fix it since it was so old, and I had to go to a Car Toys or something similar. I was disappointed at first, but I understood. Not only did they do a superb job of a fast Oil Change and Tire Rotation, they also temporarily fixed my remote starter! They showed me what went wrong with it and how they fixed it temporarily and let me understand whats going on under my hood. They took my number down and said they would reach out to their contacts to see if I could get it permanently fixed.I appreciated their sentiment and I highly, highly recommend this particular Midas. They treat their customers with utmost respect and are so friendly. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Thank you so much Midas!
I called on a friday asking if they could look at my car, they said they could not see me until the following monday. I asked for them to fix a coolant leak, replace a bad headlight, and change my oil. They charged me for a headlight that was not replaced charged me $160 for an oil change and claimed they could not find a leak and I must have made a mistake. The coolant was completely gone in less than three miles after I left, and when I brought it back the mechanic topped it off you could visibly see the level dropping and hear the coolant dripping onto the ground. Their response was that they would not help me, qnd that I should try a differant mechanic because they would not work on it further.
This place is the worst Midas I have ever been to, particularly with price gouging me for an oil change. I wont ever do business with them again after my latest experience. They did not disclose the ridiculously high price of an oil change to me, they presented a blank sheet of paper that says oil change on it and ask you to sign it, then then bring you a bill for $118.05 with ridiculous charges for a simple oil change. This is unlike the Midas in Parker and in Littleton (off S. Kipling ran and owned by Dan) who present you with transparent charges up front. This location is deceptive and unfair on pricing compared to other Midas shops Ive dealt with in the last 7 years in Littleton and Parker. Guess what, Im done with MIDAS and will take my vehicle elsewhere going forward. This locations practices relative to other Midas shops merit the scrutiny of Midas Corporate Office leadership, Ive called them as well.Facts (exact same truck, same oil):1) 1/6/21 - This location screwed me for $118.05 for a synthetic oil change and filter, which included an extra $10 charge for extra oil (never has anyone but this location charged me for extra oil) and another $10 charge for a tray - obstructed cleared (that no other Midas or Toyota dealer has ever charged me for in the 2 year history of owning this truck, including the Midas in Parker and this same location on 8/31/20, see 2 below). Never has any other Midas location or Toyota dealer charged me close to this much for an oil change, ever.2) 8/31/20 - This same location changed my oil, same truck and same synthetic for $95.93 which included an extra $10 for oil but did not include the $10 for removal of a tray like they did on 1/6/21. So you come up with additional ways to nickel and dime people for a simple oil change?! Why didnt you gouge me $10 on 8/31/20 for this tray removal, and why didnt the Toyota dealers (and the Parker Midas on 11/8/19)?3) 11/8/19 - The Parker CO Midas at 6240 Pine Lane changed the oil in this same truck, synthetic, and the total charges were $75.75 which is less than 1) and 2) above at this location in Castle Rock AND they didnt charge me for this $10 Tray- Obstructed Clearance labor charge then, nor did the Castle Rock location on 8/31. Nor has any other Toyota dealer (Groove Toyota or Stevinson West, which both charge FAR less than Midas for synthetic oil changes!).All of the above is quoted from Midas invoices over the last year and 2 months. So in one year, at two different Midas locations in CR and Parker, we went from $75.75 to $118.05 for a synthetic oil change on the exact same Toyota truck. This Midas charged me way more for the same oil change than the Parker Midas did just 17 miles up the road. Highway robbery, when the price of oil has not went up 55.8%! I will never be a Midas customer ever again. This CR location also got grimy grease prints on my door and door handle. Its not hard to wipe them off, I wiped them off when I got home.To show how ridiculous and inconsistent this locations pricing practices are, re-read 1 2 and 3 above. Then, compare it to an oil change I had on 11/12/20 with a Toyota dealer who charged me $69.27 for a full synthetic oil change compared to $118.05 with this Midas on 1/6/21 and $95.93 on 8/31/20 at this same location. The Toyota dealer did not clip me for an extra $10 for more oil (a scam) or another $10 for some tray removal that Ive never been charged for over 4 years of owning two Toyota Tacomas. This place is almost $50 more for an oil change than a Toyota dealer and $42.30 higher than the Parker Midas just up I-25 for a synthetic oil change! All of these figures are right from their paperwork! Stinks of price gouging to high heaven!I also asked them to test my battery, they didnt follow up about it when I paid, not a word that they tested my battery and it was ok.And on top of being gouged for an oil change, they send a $10 check in the mail with no apology. You cant make this up. Terrible customer service and relations.
Theyre 100% straight forward and honest! You will not get this needs to fixed and that needs to be fixed! They tell you the truth with what is needed for your vehicle and how to maintain your vehicle for longevity! Honest and speak to you about the repairs needed on a level one can understand! Theyre be we misleading! I highly recommend Rick and Sherry at Midas in Castle Rock Colorado!👍👍
I was quoted $1400 by a different company who had loosened something in my tire. I brought it here and walked out 15 minutes later paying Rusty $30 for helping me out. They are amazing and so helpful here and Im relieved I brought it in for a second opinion. I plan on bringing my car to this location anytime I need work for my car!
One of the worst experiences Ive ever had in the automotive repair industry. For an owner of the facility to be disgruntled and angry at me for doing my job is uncalled for. I am not a previous employee nor was I a customer however my job is to work hand in hand with automotive repair facilities to help customers gain approval for their extended warranty claims. This owner was verbally abusive and uncooperative during the entire process.
If you are considering buying a used car, you MUST take it here. They offer a basic inspection for about $25 but it is actually very extensive. Engine, underside, etc. The owners are Castle Rock natives and super friendly. Highly recommend, at least for the service I used.
Ammon saved the day when I was driving to Denver in miserable conditions and helped me out when I couldn’t keep my windshield clear. Not only did he clear the line of the frozen wiper fluid but he filled the reservoir with higher quality fluid and didn’t ask anything for his services. Thank you for helping two stranded travels - y’all are the best.
Love this place. Reminds me of an old school dinner whoch it probably is. Its a change up from all the chains out there. Go here you wont regret it.
Ive gone to plenty of mechanics shops through out my life but the Midas on Plum Creek is by far the best. The whole crew is great amd Tim is always super nice and knowledgable. And their rates are very fair. When i go to Midas on Plum creek i have nothing to worry about because i always know that im being taken care of and have absolutely no fear of being taken advantage of. Thank you Midas for hiring such great employees!!!
Really nice people. Fast service but 130 for an oil change and a tail light.. oooof no thank you.
Took my BMW there for a radiator change, they charged me $2200, the radiator they installed was poorly installed, the mechanic and manager were rude, trying to oversell service. I went back the next day telling them the car was poorly repaired, that it needed to be checked because the fluid was empty again, they complained about fixing it, I asked them for a refund or at least a portion for the service, the manager said they would only give me a bunch of $#!@ in a rude manner. Talked to the store owner and he didnt help either.I had to take my BMW to another shop to fix the issue.I dont recommend this place to any luxury car owners.
Super nice and knowledgeable employees. If you happen to be here under unfortunate conditions they sympathize. If I need more work I know where to come.
Ever since living at home, I have only gone to Midas to get my cars worked on and moving out here is no different. I have only had great experiences and expected nothing less here and that is just what I got. Ron is a great guy and everyone who works there is just as amazing. They try to get you in and out while doing the best work possible and have no problem working with you on issues. I cant see myself taking any of my cars anywhere else and I completely recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their car.
These dudes charged me 400$ for a break change. When i got my car back it sounded like my breaks were going to fall of my car the new breaks v the old breaks were literally 0 difference, my car HOWLS when i break at low speeds now and not too mention all the new metallic clinking sounds coming from my undercarriage. Had a another place look at my breaks turns out all they did was slap the cheapest set of breaks on their for 400$. You can literally go anywhere else in castle rock and get reasonable prices and WAY better quality vehicle service. This Midas is charging over the top because its a wealthy area and betting on that you dont know any better. Please anywhere else but this place.
I had a bad experience at this Midas with an employerand wrote an honest review about my frustrations. Within 2 hours I got a call from the owner, Sheri. Sheri apologized and was very professional. She told me that she would take care the situation and keep in touch. I am happy with how this situation was handled, but I feel like I was only given a refund so I would change my 1 star review. I will change my 1 star to 3 stars. After reading the other reviews here, it is obvious that Ron and other employers at this Midas try to take advantage of people and just hope the customer wont have the guts to speak up. Because this is such a pattern, I am not going to delete my original review.***I would never recommend this place to anyone. **MY ORIGINAL REVIEW----I made an apt for an oil change for Thursday @ noon. I arrived and Ron forgot to write it down and asked me to come tomorrow. He said that he would do the oil change for 25$ since I had a coupon, and he forgot about me. I came in on Friday and Ron was there. He was very friendly with me while I paid with my debit card. He didnt asked me to sign anything and handed me the receipt and started helping someone else. I looked at my receipt and Ron charged me $100 for an OIL CHANGE- that we discussed would be $25. I interrupted Rons conversation with a customer and asked why I was charged $100. He said that j got synthetic oil. I said I didnt asked for that and he said it would be $25. Ron appeared very embarrassed and gave me a business card and tried to get me out of the shop asap. WOW! Does Ron get off on taking advantage of a 26 year-old social worker, who makes less than $100 a day??? Just wondering.
Out tow dolly wheel bearings went on our way from MN to Arizona. We were lucky enough to have it happen a few blocks from midas. Ammon worked his butt off doing everything he could to get parts delivered and fix us up. He went above and beyond to make sure we were ok and to get us back on the road as fast and safely as possible.
When I came in for emergency maintenance on my baby, I primarily spoke with Ron. The night I came in, I told him i was in a hurry to get it fixed. He told me that he and the staff would make it a priority and they had it done for me the very next morning! I dont know the first thing about cars and was pleasantly surprised when they did not try to take advantage of that fact by trying to convince me to pay a ton of money extra for a billion unnecessary reasons. The facility is fairly priced and has the lowest diagnostic rate i could find. I didnt have an opportunity to interact with the rest of the staff there but as for Ron, he is a super friendly, honest, and down to earth professional. I would highly recommend this midas to anyone
STAY AWAY! Went in with a for a tire rotation and an oil change for $24.99. I was told it would be 45 minutes to get done. I walk out to the library......a few minutes away and my phone rings. Hurry on back we need to talk about your vehicle immediately. I told them to finish the tire rotation and the oil change. Oh, we must talk before we finish. I said finish the oil change and tire rotation and I will talk to you when I get there. You have unusual tire wear yo need new springs! (For a bag full of money). I expect the upsell, but this was ridiculous. I told them, No thank you. It took the guy forever to get my bill ready. He said, here you go, you owe us $49.95. I laughed at him. I said I am paying $24.99 plus tax and that is it. He replied, We did the high mileage that costs $39.95. I said, Good for you, but I am paying $24.99, plus tax. He was totally freaked out and flabbergasted. I paid just $24.99 and walked out. What part of the coupon didnt you read! STAY AWAY! Totally scam wanna be artists!
This place is great! Fixed my flat tire for a reasonable price within 30 minutes of me walking in the doors. As soon as they dxd the problem, the serviceman immediately came in, told me what it was, even showed me the nail (!), and offered to put a new valve on if I so desired. He was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and I will be going back for anything I cant handle on my own.
Tommy is an amazing mechanic. Has done work on several of our vehicles. Great having a mechanic you can trust.
The company has two Midas shops in Castle Rock. I usually go to the north side one. I have always been treated courteslly and the work done promptly, for a reasonable price. They have been friendly and helpful regarding general maintenance, tire selection and suggestions about needed repairs. Costs shave always been less than dealers charge. Very happy with the place.
Great service. Faster than expected! Very pleasant Team!
Stopped in to get topped up on fluids and air before a long trip. Minimal wait with no charge! Kind people with their wonderful shop dogs! Thank you
On the road from Kansas City, I blew an egr valve, I walked in at 3:30, the “gentleman” behind the counter smiled an insulting grin while he told me that not only could he not work on it today, but he wouldn’t be able to even touch it until Monday afternoon. He did however recommend a hotel where I could take my 2 children and wife. Definitely avoid this shop if at all possible.
Dont go here... please? Midas in Denver or springs is way better, I recommend them. However, this is a VERY different owner in castle rock whom has attempted to screw over many employees over the years in the form of property and wage theft. I will go to the meinike here in town any day before this place.
We were in Castle Rock for a wedding from Nebraska went our van engine started to make loud noises. I brought it in on Saturday for an assessment and they had me fixed and ready to go on Monday early afternoon. What could have been a very stressful and unpleasant experience turned out to be the opposite. Ron was great at customer service and communicating. He assisted in finding me a car rental in the meantime, followed up with a phone call after we made it back to Nebraska to make sure we made it back okay and how the van was running. That is excellent customer service and follow-up! Highly recommend!
I would not take your car here. I went to get my ac fixed and my brakes. They told me i needed a brand new kit for the back(have no clue what kind of kit wasnt really explained to me) brakes. 1700 later they had to refund me for ac because it was never fixed and now my car leaks antifreeze in passenger side floor bored( inside truck) i have been having all kinds of noise from brakes cheri which is owner refused to redund my money to go somewhere else to really fix. So last night driving home the brakes snapped and now i have no brakes. Had to have it towed in by tow truck to another midas where they told me theres no such thing as a brake kit in the back. And yhey did sinething to have anti freeze leaking. They knew i was going on a trip to texas. Actually i nevet went i was so scared to drive it that far. So i never got to help my dad recover from heart attack. Because they couldnt do their job correctly. Now they are trying to say we did damage to the vehicle. Teally who in their tight mind would do that to their own vehicle they drive daily??? Please be aware if you go there.
I was there at 8:00am with an appointment and waited over 4 hrs to get my brakes fixed. I kept getting the run around about parts and when I told them to just give me the truck back the parts magically appeared.
Innapropriate MIDAS TOUCH!!! they not only will touch, but completely RAPE your wallet! i went in for an oil change & brake job once......i asked for the standard deal they were running at that time, i ended up being told my whole brake system needed redone......not the case.......took it to Genes muffler {highly recommend their work} he completed the brake job & oil change w/out any extra frills & let me know that my brake system was fine, just needed the rotors turned & new pads....MIDAS SUCKS!!!! & by the way, that was when my vehicle had about 70k miles on it.....now 120k miles & my brake system has never failed, nice try, MIDAS.....
Very kind courteous, they went above and beyond to help us to repair our vehicle, and get us back on the road again. Thank you Ron and Dillan for all your hard work
I took my car in because it wouldnt start. I told them that I thought it was my ignition coil or the spark plugs needing replacement. They took an initial look at it and called me back saying they couldnt find the issue- that I was getting spark just fine and that I was getting fuel and they would have to charge me 100 dollars to take a more in depth look. They called a few hours later saying my head gasket was blown and I needed 1600 dollars in repairs. They also tried to sell me on another 900 dollars of other repairs (since they already would be in the area) to replace things that already worked. None of what they said matched the symptoms of my car. I took it somewhere else and they found the problem quickly. It was my ignition coil and my spark plugs - go figure. Less than 300 dollars versus over 2500 dollars - you do the math. This place is out to rip you off and it appears that they dont know what they are talking about. I used Wessbecker Automotive down the road and I feel that they have been completely honest as compared to Midas.
I had a great experience purchasing new tires a week later I found two screws in the same tire they pulled them out free of charge and set me on my way
Employees are knowledgeable, friendly and short wait time. Only place in Castle Rock I will take my car for service.
Quick, worked with me and had my car ready to roll same day with a 1pm drop off.
Ron and dylan Very understanding and polite got the job done hard workers and got us back on the road
Been on the road for 6 days. Got a nail in the title on I25. Pulled into Midas yo get tire plugged or patched. They told me plugs were illegal. I would have to go down the street to big O tires for an illegal plug patch. So thats exactly what I did. Never going back to midas
Like their service but you got to take appointment before going. Usually, quick turn around.
**PLEASE READ EVERY REVIEW FOR THIS PLACE**BE CAUTIOUS**SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY** It is really to bad that I can not give this place zero stars because honestly this place doesnt even deserve a one star. I was quoted over $1000s for parts and services on my car, this is a lot of money so I decided to get a second opinion and took it into Colorauto. They diagnosed the issue and with parts and labor it only cost me $100s. Car runs great now.P.S. I was told diagnostics for my car would cost $20, I got a call back saying that they had to do a few more things and it was now $40 and I could come and pick it up, when I showed up and told him I wanted a second opinion it then increased to $100. To make matters worse they forgot to place all the equipment back on after they pulled it off. This is a super sketchy place.
Not even one star. My wife came in and simply asked to use a funnel to put her own atf in, and they sent her to Autozone across the street. Told her to come back when she wanted her brakes fixed whilst laughing. 2 bit hacks dont know what ASE means. Let alone what it takes to be certified. Theres a reason she asked to barrow a simple tool. She knew better than to let any of these wannabes get a wrench near her ride. These clowns are the type that leave women stranded on the side of the road without a second thought. A real tech gets her home. Roaches on the ground = Fake patches.
Absolute rip off. Paid $140 for 2 $12 bolts that took them no time to fix. Also left grease stains and oil finger prints all over my truck which were hard to get off the paint. Overall, go somewhere where you wont get scammed for your entire paycheck.
Don’t remember the guys name but was probably the manager. Super helpful and I appreciate you 👍🏼
Dont believe any of the excellent comments you read, I was threatened by the owner that he wouldnt accept my coupon if I didnt go on google reviews and give them a 5 star rating. These guys are terrible and will try to take ever bit of money for you. I came in with a $20 oil change coupon and the mechanic tried to charge me $60 for the oil change and then tried to convince me that i needed a new rotator belt and air filter. The wife of the owner then proceeded to say that she was going to charge me more the the agreed on price because she had to take off a panel to change my oil.My friends mom went there one time for a oil change as well and they told her she needed a new air filter and showed her a really dirty air filter. My friend freaked out drove all the way down there and demanded that they put it back in where it was. The real filter was there. Do not go here, they will take all of your money and are lower quality then walmart.
Stay AWAY !!! All the coupons do is get you crappy service non OEM parts, oil ect... Mechanics are not Certified, they are young kids who can hold a wrench.I had an equally horrible experience with Midas in Florida....Every time, I have had service there, I have had to bring the car back. They usually cause MORE problems then they fix !
I called and spoke to Sherry inquired about a full synthetic oil change she said a little more than 70.00 and I ended up paying $105.00. I don’t think she was really honest with. I will not go back to them.
Great service!
Awesome service
