Should have read the reviews before requesting this location for a prescription. My fiancé had her appendix removed at WakeMed just down the road on Friday evening. They sent the painkiller prescription to this CVS and we went at about 9:00 that night to pick it up. Turns out the pharmacy closed at 7:00 - would be nice if the hospital knew that but with Covid affecting staff and hours I’ll give it a pass. Store manager told us to come back in the morning at 9.We returned at 10:15 the next morning to pick up the prescription only to be told the pharmacist was too busy that morning giving Covid vaccinations and had not prepared the prescription. Given that it’s a narcotic, they have to do a lot of extra things to make sure it’s the right dosage and all that, which again, is understandable. What is UNACCEPTABLE is that they would not prioritize prescriptions sent the night before (following surgery!) over Covid vaccinations in the morning. My fiancé is now having to take OTC painkillers for the next several hours for post-surgery pain. Less than 16 hours ago she was on the operating table.DO NOT rely on this CVS for immediate pharmaceutical needs. The normal store is fine, but the pharmacy is unreliable. I cannot believe the way we were turned away and told to come back in a few hours given the situation.

Sitting here on hold for 43 (update, 80 and they never answered) minutes and counting. All I want is my migraine medication but I just have to listen to this terrible call waiting music and hope someone will help me eventually.Theyre not bad people and are pleasant when they answer, but holy hell they need to hire more employees

Continuously messes up meds....life saving ones too..Theyre going to kill someone. Theyve sent us home with the wrong medicine. Theyve said meds had no refills when they had multiple. Lazy staff, does not take the time to read labels or do their job right.

I received the worst experience at the pharmacy drive thru window this morning with your assistant pharmacy tech named Shannen! I pulled up to the window and got looked at by what I am assuming is your pharmacy manager and then she turns her back to me. I waited a few more minutes and realized they were going to ignore me or make me wait. So I rang the call button and got a response fro Shannen moments later. Shannen did not greet me. I was expecting to have to pay but my insurance made st have covered it. I wasn’t asked if I have any questions about my sons medication or anything. She didn’t even say good bye, have a nice day, nothing. She simply put his prescriptions in the door and walked away. That was the rudest person I’ve ever experienced. I am currently transferring my scripts to Walgreens as I write this. This location has horrible pharmacy reviews and I now see why! So disappointed!

My experience here has been mixed. Most recently I have had wonderful service from nice employees and management both in the pharmacy and out! When they aren’t terribly busy, it’s a friendly well stocked well organized store! I recommend it over the giant store pharmacies popping up everywhere!

I had a covid test appt at 2:10pm on 7/31. I had done this before and it only takes 5 minutes (once the car arrives the window). I had booked a Lyft ride with a stop. I went to the window and he asked all the questions to confirm. And then he says to give him a moment to get the test-kit ready. He takes an obnoxiously long time (~10 minutes) and my lyft driver had to cancel the lyft ride. So I went inside the store and explained him the situation. He still didn’t have enough courtesy to apologize. Anyway, I asked him to give me the kit so I could take the test. He told me to go outside and take the test. Then I asked him if the kit was ready. He said yes. So I go outside and he makes me wait for another 10 minutes in the heat standing so he can get the test-kit ready. And then he calls another person to confirm the Name and Date of Birth. And finally he gives me the kit and guides me how to take the test. Horrible service. Would never go again. A message to that store’s CVS manager- please know who was working at the pharmacy at that time and take appropriate actions. This whole wait cost me another $46 ride back to my apartment. Thank you!

I use this CVS for all my prescriptions and I’ve never had a less than stellar experience. I’ve gotten my flu shot quickly and easily and the pharmacy staff is very nice. This review was prompted by a pharmacist fast-tracking my migraine medication when I feel like I’m dying - so I GREATLY appreciate that and all of their help. Thanks.

There were 2 different occasions that I had called in to inform this CVS about my new prescription availability. Give them about a week to contact the doctor office and all, never once they could get it done. Just beware for all customers out there, if you have prescription changes, make sure you call ahead before going, you will be disappointed!!

The ONLY star for this place is Jesus. He is the best employee, knows you by name, knows the specifics and is so kind. I always hope to get him either on the phone or at the store. However, after moving to NC and having my dr in NJ send my scripts electronically for the last two years all of a sudden kumar says he can’t. They can’t accept scripts from out of state. I was out of medication and he told me to find a dr in nc. Because yeah, that’s feasible. He filled out of state scripts for two years. Especially during the pandemic I use telehealth. I thought this cvs was different but nope. I went to SWIFT CREEK PHARMACY AND THEY WERE HAPPY TO HELP AND WELCOMING. DONT BOTHER GIVING CVS YOUR BUSINESS. it may work out the first two times but i guarantee you will have a problem. Not to mention the ppl getting the vaccine there have zero privacy, it’s unhygienic to administer a shot on the side of the waiting line. I hope jesus finds a better place to work, cvs doesn’t deserve him. And kumar you can’t fill out of state scripts all this time and then one day decide not to. People have work, families, and lives, we dont want to spend our day unraveling a mess you unnecessarily created.

This was my pharmacy for years because of location, and I was a loyal customer, but here is why I changed: 1. The pharmacy assistant who Id never had more than a professional conversation with came up to me one day while I was with my daughter and gave me his phone number and said to call him sometime. What?! How inappropriate!! They need some serious professional training classes for their employees 2. A few weeks later, while still struggling with the appropriate way to turn him in, I bought a gift card for my sons birthday and it didnt work. When I took it (with its receipt) back to the manager he refused to exchange it for me, saying it had been used. I was furious. I had been a good customer for 10 years, spending a lot much money in there through the years, but he didnt seem to care. I decided I was just done there and would spend our money at the neighboring Walgreens. That was last year. 3. I thought Id give it one more chance this week in case it had changed because it is so close to my house, but when I asked the cashier to please wipe down the keypad during checkout because I was undergoing cancer treatment she acted like I was a terrible inconvenience - huffing and puffing like it was a strange request. Target, Harris Teeter, Walgreens - all have been so understanding the few times I have gone out in public since COVD and asked them to wipe it down, but not the CVS cashier. She acted like I had ruined her whole day. So rude. They need to make a lot of changes. Very disappointing.

Worst pharmacy ever. Wait time is unbelievable. Asked me to cone back 2 times since my prescription was not ready and each time told me it will be ready tonight though I went the day after. They asked 2 tims for my insurance card and each time they told me we do not have it on our file. Lsat time I am going there...

We have been using this CVS for the past 18 months. Pharmacist and the support staff have treated us with courtesy. Granted it gets busy at times and some waiting but generally we get thru in about 7 minutes.

Incompetent pharmacist! The pharmacy will fill old prescriptions and sell them to you and when you return for a refund they offer you a gift card. Once I made them aware of their error they then deleted the old prescription in the system. The pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy 5859 Tryon Road in Cary is a crook. Take your business to a pharmacy that cares about issuing their customers the CORRECT prescriptions. This guy seems to make himself feel better by shifting the blame on the customer by saying that you should pay attention to what they are giving you. What a clown! His license should be taken.

I spent 1 hour and 35 minutes in line with 9 cars ahead of me, to get tested for COVID, only to receive a feedback that I was not telling the truth and I needed to pull over in line again, because I supposedly was late. How could I be late and the other cars in front of me were not, if I came 40 min in advance and diligently waited in line, which, by the way, did not go very fast at all? Not only the young girl at the window suggested that I was not saying the truth, but they made me waste so much of my time! Do yourself a favor and use another pharmacy.

Above average for a CVS. Great, friendly service at the Drive through, though there is nearly always a wait at the counter. Pharmacy staff is attentive and always friendly. Plenty of parking, and a great location within reasonable distance of all south central Wake County.

Some of the pharmacy staff are just so unprofessional. I had the same younger guy check me out through the drive thru as well as inside on separate occasions. He was paying more attention to his phone than actually doing his job. It was pretty rude. Ive only had one pleasent experience with one employee who did their best to help with a complex situation with my prescription. He was patient and kind but was literally the only employee that was helpful. Just dont expect good customer service at the pharmacy at this location any time of day.

My past few experiences here have been pretty awful. I moved to Cary about 6 months ago now, and I got a perscription filled here right after. That visit the guys running the drive thru made fun of me to my face. And I just went back again today, thinking that was a one time experience, and the same guy was back and was incredibly rude. I am very disappointed and will be going elsewhere from here on out. Im not asking for exceptional, friendly service. Is it too much to behave like a normal human being?

Dont bother trying to get your prescriptions here. They always failed to autofill mine. And just recently, they switched my wifes birth control and told her it was the only free one under our insurance. Except her old one WAS still available when she switched to another CVS store. Whether they didnt want to be bothered with the trouble of ordering it or there was a kickback involved, who knows. They lied to her. And her hormone levels were out of whack for months. Avoid them if you want piece of mind and your health maintained.

I dont know whether this is a policy at CVS or just at this store. On Feb 25 I go in with my ins card and they tell me that my prescription for prednizone has a $35 co-pay with the ins. When i look at the bill, the column that says what the ins paid is $0. When I looked up pricing on prednizone, I found that I should be paying Retail about .40cts per pill. I was charged at this store almost DOUBLE that! IN OTHER WORDS, INSTEAD OF TELLING ME IT WAS GOING TO BE RETAIL AND GIVING ME THE OPTION TO GO FIND A CHEAPER PRICE WITH THE INS I HAD ELSEWHERE, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY CO-PAY ON MY INSURANCE! I HAVE SINCE TRANSFERRED ALL MY PRESCRIPTIONS ELSEWHERE. DO YOUR HOMEWORK PEOPLE! SINCE OBOZOCARE I SUSPECT THIS WILL BECOME A COMMON PRACTICE WITH MANY PHARMACIES! I DOUBT I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM AND THERE WILL BE MANY MORE!
