I wanted an air sealed, fire-rated metal garage door since my original house came with a thin indoor door that had a 1 in air gap underneath, letting car fumes and garage heat into the house.I also had a special request to get a mortise lock housing, which meant I needed to custom order the door.I called several places before finding Handy Door Man. And all were 20-30% more expensive or refused to provide for the mortise lock request.Luis not only provided a very reasonable quote, but the order filled quickly and he installed with care. The door came with a commercial self-closer, and the skirts and seals were tuned properly for both a smooth close and tight seal. Theres a material temperature and insulation improvement to the house now.While he was here, he also helped me with several other doors for only the cost of parts. My front door required significant work to air seal, and other doors inside the house needed tuning to close properly.Update 2 months later: once the house settled some more, several of my doors had issues closing properly. Once again, Luis and his assistant made a trip out and he fixed everything back up, free of charge. Thats service thats rare these days.Im really looking forward to working with Luis again on some future projects I have in mind.

I looked all over and had a difficult time finding someone to hang three doors, two of which were in brand-new door frames with no jamBs. I called The handy door man and got lucky because Luis was able to come out the next day and install all three doors. He did an excellent job. The hinges and hardware and everything seemed perfect The doors were unfinished solid slab doors He kept the work area clean throughout the process and cleaned up everything before he left Ive already recommended him to some of my coworkers. Luis and his team of installers are the best construction professionals I have worked with. They did an expert job installing a new front door with sidelites and a french door with operable sidelites. I purchased the doors and hardware from 2 different suppliers and Luis and his teams took care of every detail to make sure the doors were installed perfectly and supplied all trim and finishes to complete the installs. We were so happy with their work that we had Luis order another french door unit for our family room and this, too, was installed expertly. Luis is a man of high integrity, very knowledgable, a great communicator and he and his installers are a pleasure to work with and have in the home.

The handy door man did a great job on my kitchen door. I have a 1930s built home and most jobs are typically a headache on these older homes. This definitely wasnt just an easy door swap. The doorway needed to be opened to accommodate for the deminsions of the new door. The handy door man had me scheduled and the job completed within of a week of being contacted. From the moment he came to my house to take measurements, to the quick (and professional/detailed) quote which was reasonably priced, to getting me in contact with Crenshaw doors & windows (Richard) to delivery and installation I could not be more satisfied. I work in Construction Management so I know how hard it is to find a good, honest, reliable and profesional contractor and he proved that there are still quality professionals in our trade out there. Our project was small which was replacing our front door, and they treated me with the same customer care as if I were contracting them for a large project. They arrived on time and as scheduled, they took their time to do an excellent job and I so very much appreciate that, they did not cut corners and even did more than expected, worked with me fine tuning some door details such as door pull installation and even installed our smart lock. I wish they would do more than doors because I would hire them to do all the projects I have for our house. I would recommend Luis in a heartbeat. Great service!
