Ive always liked IKEA cool contemporary pieces, with sides of nostalgic nick nacs, and really nice prices. The snack bar is very convenient with low cost items, the frozen yogurt is great Do NOT go on a weekend day unless you LOVE crowds! *Covid conscious.
Nice furniture, priced less than most stores. Most items on order basis, not much in stock. Not sure if its because of Covid or not.
This is a standard Ikea, just a warning though,. Since most people wanted to redo their homes for the pandemic, Ikea has been struggling to keep up so like... A lot of things are out of stock. But staff still continue to be really nice even though there are some other questionable customers
The Disneyland of retail! 3 levels of experiences to work through. Just follow the arrows and experience every possible thing from around the world that can be flat packed.Lots of interesting and quite good items ranging from furniture and bedding to kitchen cabinets with all possible types of home use items in between. Also has a restaurant area with those delicious snacks they call Swedish Meatballs. Great way to pass an hour or two on a weekend morning, just remember what can actually fit in your vehicle 🤓
Over all I expected to find better service from the staff, unfortunately 😒 it is no longer the jem and quality they were. After covid their service and staff have become poorly. The food which was a place for family to enjoy a delicious low price snacks and meal have become a disastrous failure due to their unwell train staff. Hope to see this place grow back again soon.
Pretty much everything: Temporarily Unavailable. I’m sure this is all due to COVID but why bother to be open. There was virtually no air flow which makes it warm and a bad experience during these times.I asked two different staff members where different items were located and received the same annoyed response.Checkout was also a nightmare. Self checkout devices weren’t working and there were only two open lanes with staff.
I love Ikea but this time, they fell short because of Covid protocols. Every single hand sanitizing station was empty, EVERY SINGLE ONE. The one by the entrance on the 3rd floor, the one by the elevator to 2nd floor, literally every single one. When I asked the employees if they had any hand sanitizer they looked at me confused like they never heard of it.This was during my visit on September 7, 2021. I hope they have made a better effort since then.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think they need to put the horse meat back in the meat balls. They used to have a nicer flavor and I think they were bigger. I would pay extra for horse if that was an option. This country has some obsession with preserving wild horses when they arent even indigenous to this part of the world. Horses dont have any natural predators here, so without human intervention, their population will continue to grow and theyll destroy the habitats of native species. People brought horses here and I am willing to be one of the people to take responsibility for that, by eating them with gravy and lingonberry jam.I also really hate how theyve changed the cafe. When I was younger, it was in the third floor and it was set up like a cafeteria. Then they moved it down stairs and its more of a food court feel. Now they eliminated the line to order and theres just an angry mob surrounding the kiosk trying to jump in to place their order. Its chaos. They had the line before. Why not keep the line but then have it lead up to the kiosks so there is some sort of organization to it. I just dont get it. It feels like poorly conceived cost cutting measures that werent executed properly.I do really like that they made the classic Ikea chair in a childrens size. My daughter loves it.
Fantastic store. Very clean. Great deals.
This review only reflects one experience at IKEA, as normally we have an amazing time. That being said, we are currently furnishing an entire 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house and needed to purchase the smaller items like duvet covers, dishes, towels, rugs, etc. We were able to navigate through the store and find most items easily. Two hours and 457 dollars later we were finally ready to checkout. I understand that retail jobs are hard, especially during the great 2021 staffing shortage we are all experiencing, but I could not believe how incredibly rude Gabriela (Cashier ID 10068793) was. The cashier next to her was even staring in disbelief. We purchased 64, YES 64, dishes and several other glass items which Gabriela refused to wrap to avoid travel damage. Okay, fine...Im cool doing it myself, no big deal. When I realized that it was going to take FOREVER to wrap everything and hold up the line I told my significant other that well just take the paper home and wrap the breakables there (the items are going 200 miles to our NEW house). The cashier had a fit and stated that we could not take the wrapping paper home, so I continued to package everything in store. Well, Gabriela didnt like that either and told me to just take the paper with me... I was like, okay what??? Her tone, her body language, everything about the experience was extremely uncomfortable. I asked her what her name was twice, the first time she ignored me and the second time she said maam I dont have to give you that information. Again the cashier next to her stopped what she was doing and looked at Gabriela in disbelief. Im sure she was trying to avoid having me complain. When I asked to enter my phone number, she refused and told me nothing was on sale anyway and it wouldnt have made a difference. Great...I still would have liked to have seen for myself.Wellll anyway, as soon as we walked away from that whole awkward situation I found a manager who relayed her name to me and offered me more paper to wrap all my dishes. The manager seemed genuine and was as helpful as possible, but the whole situation was super strange.
This is by far the worst IKEA I have ever been too. They have no restaurant just a little bistro that literally take 10 mins to slip in meatballs & mash in a box. There cinnamon buns are cold😑. The store itself is not stocked so many things missing. When I ask about it they said they stock once a month. Lots of items without pricing, the showroom is thrashed. Maybe I am spoiled being used to the Burbank one but this was such a disappointment. Staff is no where to be found. This is the trash of all ikeas. My suggestion is take the trip to Burbank at least they rarely run out of items & staff is friendly and everywhere. If you are looking for some thing specific here chances are you will not find them…JUST GO TO BURBANK
Space saver closets were very nice and affordable, and there were many choices
My first time there wow what a trip that place is a maze they have everything that you could possibly want and then some they even have frozen foods and a food stand they have hot dogs Pizza 🍕cinnamon buns and a lot of other stuff after the checkout stand by the exit door so if you need anything go to IKEA they got what you want.... like Arnold Schwarzenegger says Ill be back!!....
I like the simple looking furniture they sell there. It was a little crowded and is kind of like a maze in there. The posted maps dont make sense to me. They have been and still are out of stock on the kitchen base cabinet I was most interested in. I dont think it will be back in stock in time for my project.
Hold on to your wallet, you are going to find lots and lots of unique, practical, creating things you need and didnt know you needed. I just love this place and so well you.
IKEA Carson has been a long-standing member of the community. The store is iconic. In the vast labyrinth, shoppers experience well-created displays which satisfies the imaginations of many possibilities of living. At the end of each display are the fixtures, pillows, rugs…that make up the display. The only problem is, you really have to do a lot of work trying to find what you liked from the display. Many of the items are either sold out, require a lot of assembly or just plain cheaply made. I love IKEA for their innovative decorative styles but they get a D grade for not having sales associate to assist those who are less savvy in the decorating forum and lack of inventory on-hand.
The store and everything fine but today the person who is in charge of the sofa area was 20 minutes waiting for her and she only talked with another person from her personal life so as not to be disrespectful I did not say anything but it was very disrespectful on her part and left know what kind of service they have
The layout is somewhat scattered. You are expected to either note the items you want or take a picture. Then go downstairs to get the item where youd check out, but you get down there and either the item isnt in stock or portions are not available. Limited employees providing help and most of them directed you some place else. I was frustrated and finally left without purchasing anything. I shopped here a few years ago with better results. Dont think Ill return to this location.
Understand there is a supply chain issue, but mostly everything we were looking for was sold out. Pretty small for being an Ikea and longer lines than other Ikeas I have been to.
Quality materials at great costs. They have 3 floors and furniture, utensils, sofa bed, comforters, spoons, knives, cutting boards, coffee cups mugs everything you need for your home. there were things at lowest price of 79 cents as well. There were plants and decorative materials as well.
Unique experience in shopping for furniture and home appliances
I love IKEA products however so many products are not in stock. Its very hard to find a full set. We had to use two stores just to get the parts for one table.
Found exactly what we were looking to purchase. Have it assembled if you cant follow instructions. It took us 30 minutes to put couch together. Fairly simple and easy.
Hej! Look, I like IKEA but alot of stuff is out of stock. Lots of small bargains on indoor decor so always worthwhile. If you want to just look at interesting ideas for your home its a great place but be ready... because you will buy something.
Honestly, this is the worst IKEA around. The food selections are severely limited and stock fills limited. If you have a choice, go to another. Several employees were not wearing masks properly, and the checkout line were insanely long, though the line moves fairly fast. Probably better during the week, but we had to wait over 30 min to pick up our items that were stored in the warehouse.
This store is huge. Its beyond huge. If youre trying to furnish your home and not overpay, shop here. Sure most of the furniture here is made with manufactured wood and not heirloom quality, but their furniture is easy to assemble, stylish, and affordable. I got food poisoning from eating their Swedish meatballs three years ago so Im hesitant about their food court. Staff here are nice, but be careful when you check out. Our cashier accidentally overcharged us when scanning our items. You gotta watch them carefully.
Currently super long lines during the pandemic but the line goes by fast. I waited for only about 30 minutes despite the line circling all around the building. Masks are required to go in BUT there is no regulations in terms of social distancing once you are inside the showrooms so enter at your own risk! It can get a bit crowded inside even if the place is huge.
Always something new. Improved furniture and kitchen displays. I even found a clock for $1.99 for a bedroom.
Not the best experience at least compared to the other Ikeas in Southern California. We got here 7 minutes early and signed in, thinking wed be able to get our item sooner. They let us know to await the second text oh, no big deal. Fast forward two hours after which we asked them what the situation was and they let us know that we were kicked off the list but never told. We then sign back in and our number one in line for another 30 minutes. This never happened at Costa Mesa.
Everything is well organized. Not too hard to find what you are looking for here. Take a picture of the Tag and just go to check out to get the item. Efficient and easy to understand. Their showroom is HUGE as to be expected from Ikea. Definitely worth checking out if youre in the market for redecorating on a budget. Here are some pics to help out.
While the shopping experience is pretty good, the returns are painstakingly looong. At least 1 hour. Compare that to Costco or other large discount place. This is horrible and this shouldnt be how you should treat customers time.
We will give 0 star. A cashier is very rude and unprofrssional. We had a very bad shopping experience there. We complained this issue to the customer service department. Ironically, The department did nothing and even sent us the wrong information! Is this how IKEA treats its customers? What kind of cooperate culture allows IKEA’s HORRIBLE customer service?
Seriously, the companies you guys are using for delivery are awful. I have a $1300 order that was not delivered today because the guys were too lazy to bring it up to our 3rd floor apartment. When we answered the call, the guy said I dont get paid enough to bring this up to your apartment. I have been waiting for this order for almost 3 weeks, and finally its here, and the delivery guys are too lazy to bring it to me. Just awful.
This location compared to the Burbank one is not as up to par. They dont have the classic blue carts, but instead smaller gray style carts that youd find at a grocery store. Its still has the showroom and their classic Swedish foods. There is a Bistro at the exit that is more to-go style since you pick it up at a window whereas the Burbank location is more cafeteria like.At least they have the classic Swedish Meatballs though! Is it even a trip to IKEA if you dont get their Swedish Meatballs? I dont think so.I recommend checking the IKEA website to check inventory which is the reason why I ventured to this location instead. IKEA also can notify you when a product is back in stock. However, if youre impatient like me then you can search at other stores.
IKEA always makes finding things so easy. You can be in and out in a flash or, if you like, you can stay for hours and browse all of the wonderful items that they have.
Ikea as a whole is a great store, but the food is definitely not good, anymore. The meatballs were SO dry. The server couldve added another dollop of gravy to help with this. Blame it on the pandemic if theyd like, but come on now. Lets keep the food edible.
Love It Love It Loved It...Cant Wait To Go Back
Ordering ahead with the pick-up option, and using click & collect from the email is a definite time saver when you already know what you want. In and out in less than 10 minutes.
Inexpensive but poor customer service. You will be waiting for them to bring out your items for at least an hour. Store is understaffed.
Excellent prices, you can find everything for home! Good quality!!
Although I still like IKEA. They have gotten way to expensive. I was under the impression that IKEA was known for affordable furniture. Sadly I dont think thats the case anymore. They still have nice styles just not nice prices. They also charge you for delivery on a big order which they didnt have a single item in stock of. I just feel if youre giving someone your business. You dont charge them for things we all know they can and should cover for you as the consumer. At the very least when the order is more than $200. Not really happy with there business ethics. Doesnt feel like they care much about there customers beyond there money.
This place gives me anxiety so many closed spaces. But really good thing I love they’re desks and diner tables. Great service as well very kind cashiers.
I love IKEA. It is filled with simple, easy to put together furniture that is easy on the wallet. Join the IKEA Family card.
This is so awful. We just want to buy a sofa. Thats it. We have been waiting for 30 minutes. Someone finally got here, but we need to wait till the register is open.. and after 30 minutes of questions and small talk, they are finally inputting data for these guys. So much wrong here. With this whole system. More employees, more registers.. this is so frustrating. Nothing this simple should take this long
Woooww great place a little busy but many good people to help 👍 100% recommend
Shout out to Joel, I was waiting for two hours for exchange and pick up but he was the most helpful employee today. Thank you so much!
I was a little worried when I got there. There was a for me what felt like a big line. But the way they stagger the guests was awesome. Super fast easy check out! It would be awesome if they keep it like this!
Shopping and parking was good. Waiting for your merchandise took longer than shopping for items. Plan ahead if its a busy weekend.
My first experience there, got lots of tools and gadgets to assemble with. Follow the arrows absolutely helps 💯
Incredibly fast service for returns and pick-up.
I hate the way the building is in this location, it doesnt make sense to me, you go in to the bottom but it takes you outside on an escalator. However, I love machine when you order your food here.
I went to purchase a utility cart and tried to use a coupon sent to me in the mail. The cashier, Arely, informed the coupon was invalid and there was nothing she could do to help me. The manager Irene was also refusing to help us in any way or give us any type of information as to who could help us with the coupon. The customer service here is absolutely terrible.
The cafe has no menu boards and only two ordering kiosks. Veggie dog was cheap and tasty!
Many products are not available now, and Ikea doesnt deliver in my Los Angeles zip code. As if that is a remote place! Overall, Ikea remains a nice store, though. Too bad I cannot buy anything big there without a delivery option.
A lot of dressers and desks have been out of stock for a while. Sucks but I like shopping here. It’s affordable and easy.
Um, no bueno. Came to buy a shoe rack and no one was able to help me. I mean, I like ikea but wish the staff would be a little more attentive. It wasnt even that late in the day. Lost a star because my hot dog was horrible, squished and seemed to be discolored. I know its a dollar but geez
It has your basic needs, dressers, couches, beds, etc Its kind of confusing in regards to picking up the furniture. You take a picture of the tag on the display then go downstairs. I thought I had to grab the furniture and put it on my cart myself but you just show the employee the picture of the tag and they give you a receipt that you take to the register and pay then you to outside and pick it up then they will text you when its ready.
This Ikea is 3 floors big. I love this place. My daughter went here to look for some drawer replacement. Something more convenient to save space in a shared bedroom with her sister. She came out the store with her own customized shelves with foldable boxes to put her clothes in. Ill post pictures when its assembled and done.
Worst ikea, customer service is garbage!! I don’t understand why people that is not happy with their life get jobs as a customer service!! I think someone working on customer service should be there to resolve a problem not make it bigger 😞, definitely not coming to this ikea anymore !!
Very disappointing trip to Ikea Carson. Waited more than 1 hour for my click & go order. Marisol was very rude & unprofessional. She needs to improve her customer skills. I thank Alfredo for a great & fast service.
Great furniture and home goods place. Worth to visit. you may just want to visit the store without planning to buy something, but you will end up buy something from the store. Because its less price and quality makes you buy. Most of the goods offers great price but sometimes we may feel the price is little high on few things and its ok with great quality. Just visit the store if your not visited already, am sure you will like it.
Good but several things out of stock
Very orderly and calm even with the semi-long line. Cabinets seemed to be unavailable for so long until today where we got the last cabinet we needed in stock! 😁 Great place to find furniture as usual.
My first visit to this IKEA in more than 10 years, and I was able to navigate through the three tiered floorplan with relative ease. I found the curtain rod, brackets and end caps all conveniently located in the same aisle on directly opposite sides of the location, so after finding what I wanted on the IKEA Website, a short drive from Downey to Carson, and I returned home within one hour as a satisfied shopper.
They had what I needed. Great customer service. Too many people shopping at the same time!
They sell the best cheap food at the food court meatballs to die for the furniture is pretty cheap they got alot of deals
First you need to made a big line to get in,looking for a drawer which 90% was unavailable what surprise me that before will have different colors of drawers dor the bedroom but now only gray black and white no more wood color same thing with desk not available same thing with the colors kitchen area not enough of the utensils almost empty because they dont carry some items any more, drive from Moreno Valley just to waste my time & gas. Personal employees still great service to answer questions
My first time at Ikea, and hopefully last. Why are people so crazy about this place? I would have enjoyed being water-boarded more than being here....
IKEA is the best store in the whole world. I plan to get married there eventually.
Worst experience shopping at an IKEA. Spent over an hour and a half waiting in line just to return a single item! They have an absolutely terrible return policy, stating that I must need a receipt to make a return. This is absolutely unacceptable! My item was in perfect condition. Never come to shop here unless you want to wait 2 hours in line in 80 degree heat!
IKEA Costa Mesa is absolutely the worst store EVER I have ever experienced. I drove more than two hours to pick up a more than thousand dollars worth of order and they are asking me to come back because it is not accessible today????!??!?! Unbelievable!!!!!!
After 3 hours we were able to get a couple of items, but many items such as cabinets and furniture are out of stock. Staff was polite and helpful.
Clean and food course is faster.
Had nice visit even though store is on the smaller side. We ate lunch there . Menu is sparse compared to some of the other stores. I had swedish meatballs..family had a hotdog. Meatball were good . My daughter said eh about the hotdog Knocked them down a star for NO HANDICAPPED SEATING IN FOOD AREA.
Covid rules in cafe/restaurant were confusing. There was a big sign at entrance of cafe that said the restaurant was closed. But then I saw lots of people sitting at the tables. ALSO, no more self-serve coffee/tea so you MUST tell server you want it! Otherwise you MUST wait in line all over again! Everything else was great!
Ikea is great. This review is about the RETURNS DESK.This one always has loooooong lines. The return line is really long. I dont see an explanation for why ... We need a bolt. ONE BOLT. Just one part. Waited in the line almost an hour. Gave up.There used to be a wall of bins where you could go get a part you needed if the box was missing something ... Now you cant even get in the door of the returns area. Its LOCKED. You have to wait outside in line or check in via app. Its unclear how many people are checked in on the app or if that is any faster/slower. Were standing in line and people kept coming up to the front saying they had checked in hours ago on the app and were waiting in their cars.It seemed so silly for ONE PART I needed. AND silly to wait for hours. HOURS!
Missing a lot of product and the shelves are somewhat bare. Waiting for an item to come back into stock now for 3 months. Take it off the shelf it it isnt available!
Store is in very good order and there were lots of folks to help if needed. Found some awesome deals on items that were recently marked down. Super Happy.
Wow just horrible food area service Waited 40 minutes to get my order of meatballs and a cone. I was the 10 th order. 3 people working and th orders all input by customers already. Lazies employees I have seen in a long time. Not a single manager around. What happened to ikea. Such fun efficient place before. Sad.
My ultimate favorite! Great pricing and fast service. Dont forget to stop by the food court for some Swedish Meatballs and lingoberry sauce. Delicious 😋
Not recomended, the store is small, confusing layout, even worst than other regular IKEAs (IKEA store layouts are bad to by befault/design), no food court, the place is not stocked very good, couldnt find what I needed, crowded, the bistro counter is slow, pathetic, small food area has empty freezers, the eating area is by the restrooms, not very clean, the floor is barely swiped, very dirty tables...Overall experience ... go to Burbank IKEA.
Full of ideas for the home and a lot of great prices on items
The food there is amazing :), they also have cheap prices for many things
So bad. Everything is constantly sold out and customer service is unresponsive and goes in circles. So bad.
The Pax wardrobe team was more helpful than in Burbank but low supply
