I just found this place online. I really was in the mood for soup and this place is hidden and a diamond in the rough to say the least! Its so cute and it just felt good being there. The staff was also GREAT. Charlie/Charles( I hope I got that right!!) waited on me and he was fabulous. I ordered the clam chowder which he recommended and a salad with mint chip icecream for dessert! Everything was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back.

I love this place! So unique and quirky, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a soup and ice cream bar. The staff were very friendly and got us some really good ice cream. Didn’t have a chance to try the soups but they looked really good. I will definitely be back anytime I’m in Carson City. The seating outside is also quite nice, it’s in a very nice developed area of town. We found it pretty cozy on a lazy Thursday evening.

We stopped in here driving through Carson and it was fantastic. There were kind employees that walked us through the menu and the food was amazing. We usually go to the coast for NE clam chowder but now we found a place closer to home. Even the hot dogs were delicious. I am truly impressed with quality of food and service and we will return, many more times, in the future.

Greatpeople :-) I didnt realize they sold soup so when I walked in it was a soup smell and I was a little surprised but the ice cream was delicious and I hear the soup is great and the customer service was perfect and what else can you say

It was a nice average experience. A few special ice cream flavors and the customer service was fine, but nothing extraordinary overall. I dont think Id visit again specifically for ice cream but the atmosphere outside is cool and maybe Ill try the food.

Great atmosphere, very friendly folks. The soup options looked good, but we had ice cream instead. The line was a little long and it did take a while to get through, but it was not from a lack of working. The sprinklers were on outside for the kids. All making a very pleasant experience.

Great place to eat! If you love to get your soup and salad on, this is the place to go! They also have other eats and sweet treats. Great prices, clean shop, friendly down to earth staff. I highly recommend the Clam Cowder! Sooooo good, if your not a fan there are more choices of soups! We definitely be back again and again.

Ive sampled 6 different soups and each one was Fabulous!! The sourdough bread bowl is divine!! I had chocolate peanut butter ice cream which was good to the last drop, one scoop which was huge. The staff have all been so helpful and nice and friendly. GREAT PLACE!! Highly recommend!!!

Really enjoyed the bread bowl soups and the ice cream. It got really busy, so our order was incorrect a few times and they seemed to be out of a handful of stuff, but it was a good experience otherwise.

I ordered the chili and salad. It came with a roll as well. The salad was basic but delicious because everything was fresh and flavorful! The chili was delicious as well. I went back the next day and ordered the same thing! Very friendly staff.

Scoups has a comforting vibe that makes the experience even better. My favorite icecreams are the Huckleberry and vanilla together. The clam chowder soup and the sourdough is also one of my favorites. If your a tourist or even someone looking for a nice place for lunch, this is a great place you go.

Tasty ice cream. We had the ice cream last 4th of July and didn’t think we would return since we are from Southern California visiting Lake Tahoe. Last minute trip to Lake Tahoe for Labor Day and we are back!

Really cool little place across from the Capital. I only had the soup, so I cant speak to the quality of the ice cream, but the soup was really good. The service was fast and friendly. The prices werent great, but they were at least reasonable. I honestly cant find any fault.

Just love this place. Its small, and comfy, with a great atmosphere. All the soups are homemade with love, and wonderful in a bowl or bread bowl. The staff and owners are always a pleasure to deal with, and chat with if theyve got time. Lots of icecream choices as well.

I constantly go into Scoups! I absolutely love the service they provide! Always smiling and very kind. No matter how busy they are they do an excellent job of getting the food out quickly. This place never disappoints. Food is delicious. Employees are kind. The place is inviting. You cant go wrong!

I went in today with my girlfriend for lunch. The chili bread bowl I had, was exceptional. The lasagna soup my gf had was great too. Both times Ive been in there the food has been great and Ive been telling people at my dealership about it. Ill definitely be back, especially when the weather is a bit over cast. 😉

This place has such a welcoming vibe to it. You cant help walking into this ice cream/soup shop without having a smile on your face. The ice cream is always fresh and the place is always clean. Ive never once had to complain about anything because the food is great and the staff is very helpful at all times.

One of the cutest artsy food places in Carson. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The mint chocolate ice cream was so refreshing and the vegetarian chili was flavorful and delicious! Took my food to go and sat at the state capitol right across the street. Overall, a lovely experience! Good for dates or family outings.

Stopped by for lunch and was very happy with it. The staff was polite and friendly, and our lunch was super good. There’s 4 soups rotating each day and a few salad options too. My baked potato soup was great! & my friend loved the beer cheese soup. We split a milkshake and their ice cream tasted so fresh. Like the pistachio almond ice cream had recognizable pieces of the nuts. You could tell they weren’t into artificial flavors in anything they made.

The soup is superb! We have gone here for lunch a couple of times now and have been seriously impressed every time. The best soup I have tried was the shrimp corn chowed. It was just spicy enough to be interesting but not overwhelming. Their soup is the real deal and has a consistence to it that only homemade soup has. It is stuff that you cannot get out of a can and is a little more exotic that I am willing to make myself. The staff has always been super nice to us; they were very professional and tolerant when my 18 month old decide to spill her water EVERYWHERE. I also highly recommend the bread bowls: excellent!

Great selection of rotating ice cream flavors. Havent tried the soups yet, but they do sound yummy. The service is normally great, the last time we went, there was an older gentleman working that seemed frustrated with the crowd of patrons. Normally thats a good thing you have customers right?

A much-needed recent addition to downtown Carsons restaurant scene, Scoups is a cafe in McFadden Plaza that does what I think successful restaurants do best: keep the menu simple but the quality excellent. The soup and salad combo was delicious and the ice cream quite tasty. Theres room to sit but its easy to take food to go as well. Service was excellent, fast, and quite friendly. With a great location downtown, this place scores extra points in my book since I can just walk from work or home.

Best soup in Carson. Usually 4 or 5 good choices each day. Sometimes a spicy soup is offered. Good salads and excellent and tasty ice cream. Not a large place, so maybe a group of 6 could eat there. Friendly servers.

We were driving through Carson City on a road trip (4/20/19) and this place caught our eye on the map. We were so glad we went! The staff was friendly, the place was clean, but most importantly the soup was excellent! It’s so clever to have soup and ice cream in the same restaurant.

A very nice place, the food was good and the employees are helpful. To portion was a bit too low, the salad and the bowl of soup were not enough for a lunch break. For the price we paid I would be glad to have a bigger meal. I still liked the place and definitely will come back.

Very delicious ice cream. We tried a two-scoup cup, with green tea and chocolate flavors. The scoups were large and the green tea flavor was amazing. I personally don’t like too much sweet things and the level of sweetness was exactly right.

All of us at Carson Jewelry and Loan had the most wonderful ice cream from Scoups Ice Cream and Soup Bar today. I see why they have been voted Best Ice Cream for the last two years. What a nice treat!

Service was great. Very friendly greeted us as we came in. Very cozy small they also have homemade soups and the Fragrant aroma of their soups filled the seating area. There is also an outside seating area and there is sprinklers for the children to play in the summer.

My kids summer camp program took a weekday stroll down to the McFadeden Plaza to eat ice cream and play in the water features there. Scoups was amazing in accommodating such a large group of rambunctious ice-cream-eating kids! Their kindness did not go unnoticed! Also the ice cream was delicious!!!
