Took our Santa Fe in to Steve for a 120k mile maintenance. Turns out we had him do it the year before and just forgot. Lots of mechanics wouldnt have touched a thing and charged me the full $1100. High prices, mediocre work. Taking car to Firestone to fix the bungled work Steve King Automobile did.edit to add: Had a timing belt changed here. Work done meant two of four spark plugs were barely threaded on (other two werent tight, but were closer), none of the coil packs were tightened down, drive belts were over tightened, and the timing was retarded and had to be reset. SKA test drove the car before pick up, triggering multiple codes and didnt fix, or even mention, them.edit 2 (since google wont let me reply)Wow. Blatant lies to cover for sloppy work.Drive belts overtightened means no slack at all, and was still causing misfires after tightening down the plugs and coil packs that most certainly were not tripping codes before SKA, and yes, the timing is adjustable when the intake & exhaust cams were set wrong (at -3 degrees TDC) so I had to pull the belt off to adjust themI (as in personally - Firestone is just whos work I have more faith in than SKA) already repaired all of SKAs blunders, there is no make right after the fact thus no reason to waste anyones time with steve king outgassing excuses.

Yes, David is employed by Steve King Automotive, but has customers who find him on Craigs list under mobil mechanic. Bring there cars to David for repair who works on them as side work, the customer brings there own parts. Also should post comments under Davids web, not Steve King.

I had a radiator changed out by David. He did not fill the antifreeze right and left air pockets in the system. This caused gurgling noises and now my heater only works when the engine is reved up high. He says that it has nothing to do with his work and was very rude about it. I looked this up on google and sure enough my systems are caused by not getting all the trapped air out of the cooling system.BEWARE. Do not let David touch your car.
