Store is small and not very well-kept.inventory levels are good, considering the size of the store.games do not have price labels on them, this is very off-putting for someone who would like to browse.I dont expect exceptionally professional staff at game stores but the staff was very casual

Computer Booter is awesome. David was a big help to me recently. When I thought I had a Windows problem, it turned out to be a hard drive failure. Not only did David diagnose the problem accurately, but he was able to replace my hard drive with a new SSD.In addition, he helped me with the decision to replace/upgrade my laptop vs simply buying a new machine. He explained the value that was left in my five year-old Dell, which ultimately saved me money and gave me confidence in continuing to make use of my initial investment.

I havent been there in an while, but the owners are down to earth & overall passionate about their work. Much love to them.

I thought my PS4 Pro fan was going out, so I came here to get it replaced.They did a system refurbish (replaced thermal paste), deep cleaned my system, and informed me that my fan did not need replaced, so that saved me $20!They finished everything very quickly, so I was able to come get my system back within a few hours!When I brought my system home and started playing, it no longer sounds like a jet engine! Its now as quiet as it was when I first purchased it.Very happy with their work! I will for sure be going here again when I have any other gaming console issues!

I have always enjoyed my interactions here, even if I was there because something was broken. They are very fair and honest with their pricing. I have yet to feel as if they are trying to offer a service just to get me to pay for something. They also have a great selection of games, consoles, and a ton of cool retro stuff. My kid had a blast playing their TMNT pinball too.

Ive been going to computer Booter for a couple years now. The service is great and so far hes always been able to fix my computer while Im standing there. I highly recommend.

When I went here, there were a few immediate red flags.1. No one there wears masks. They go on and on about freedom of personal choice in the responses to people’s negative reviews here, but can’t handle criticism for the choices they make. If you don’t wanna wear a mask in your business, don’t be surprised when people give you negative reviews.2. They don’t have anything priced in the store. The way it works is you have to look through their games, find one you’re interested in, and bring it to the counter to find out the price. This is, as you would imagine, an extremely inefficient method of going about business.3. When I was there, the owner got in a screaming match with one of the customers about the 2020 election. The owner also at one point went on a rant about how Michelle Obama is secretly a man, and how there is clear evidence. I was already weary about the situation, but after that I put the game I was interested on back on the shelf and walked out.These guys seem to be all about free speech and freedom of expression, but then can’t handle the heat when their speech and expression make them look like absolute clowns and lunatics.

The owner of this business offers superior knowledge of gaming and electronics. Service here is very friendly and convenient. Good to have a store like this these days.

Im not understand why everyone is judging this place based on political views. This is hands down the best place for retro gaming. The staff is awesome and David is an amazing person. Never once has he push any view point or tried to convert me. If you express interest in a topic of interest to him he gives you the information you need to make an informed decision.If you have an old school gaming need this is the shop for you. David and his crew are awesome... I needed my DJI RC Remote repaired and every single RC place I called either heard the DJI name and said sorry we dont work on DJI products or wanted to charge me 50$ just to look at my remote. I went and talked to David and he actually listened to my problem and gave me his honest opinion. Hes not a drone guy and he didnt see it that way. it was a antenna wire that just need to be attached. So after some research he disassembled my RC Remote and repaired the microscopic wire. My drone was at a 200 range when my antenna broke now Im back to my 2 1/2 mile range. Definitely coming back and recommend to anyone. Thank you guys

I looked for a shop that can repair consoles and controllers a year ago and landed here at computer booter with all the great reviews others had. So far my experience has always been positive when coming here, and they provide excellent service! I had console controllers fixed here and also bought a 360 controller from here that still works to this day. I travel all the way from Lincoln to get here because its worth the drive for quality service and especially when they warranty their repairs. Great shop that I highly recommend.

I want to state this clearly, this review is only If you are looking for help with computer issues, if you want a review about anything else, then skip this. For PC issues, you should look elsewhere, was basically robbed. Came in for an issue that I just knew in my gut wasnt that big a deal and would probably take 10 minutes. Had to wait many days for a response, though that is fine with me because theyre busy. He said he fixed one of the issues I was having, but didnt, you just have to remove a part and it works. The main issue wasnt fixed which was to get it to boot. Ended up going to someone that helped me out years ago, my dad still had their number. I basically found out myself what to do and probably didnt need to give to them either as i had to wait many days too for no reason, but I researched after it was given. I came over to their house and told them I found online about a similar issue to change ONE setting in the BIOS and what do you know, the PC boots. I even put back all my components and nothing is broken. I was told there were possible issues with things like the motherboard. I ended up having to pay $50 for nothing, as there wasnt even a clear diagnosis. I later went on to the website and it says that diagnostics are free. I honestly feel like he was like afraid to look at my computer more or something because he would have charged more which is weird, he doesnt seem like these other corporate like companies that charge $100 upfront and $170 for a 10 minute job. The store itself looked real cool and I hope they stay in business for that at least, so dont want my money back, but this review is just for PC issues. Try to find someone else if you can, maybe someone more personable. Im a social reject, its hard for me to communicate with people sometimes in person and id rather just not bother with all this. Wish them the best, but please dont be greedy and dont be afraid to work on peoples stuff. You dont need to say Oh these other places charge this or this is the standard fee there is no standard fee. More people than you think would still slip you a 20 even if you just took a bit of time to fix a very easy issue.

They have always been up front with costs, and whether it was even worth the fix or if I was better off buying new. These one star reviews are a joke, David is the most accommodating and honest business owner I know, and I have zero problem recommending people to his shop. People should be rating this as a business, not a personal attack on the owner due to differing political viewpoints.

Computer Booter is great. Ive personally visited them plenty of times. David is caring and honest about his work and makes sure to take care of you. Also a great place to find retro games that you would normally not find locally. Hole in the wall, good place to check out! They also host tournaments and I regularly attend the Friday Smash Ultimate ones. Great venue and good environment!

Have gone here for years and David has always been so welcoming and cool. Shame to see all this hate over a simple petition that nobody is forcing you to sign. I recommend this shop highly, I have never once had a bad experience whatsoever. But these reviewers arent leaving reviews on experience or actual service yet political anger and hate. Real shame how some of these people are acting but expected.

This shop is awesome, helpful and fair. This is absolutely the best experience weve ever had, price-wise and information-wise in getting our phone fixed. When throwing temper tantrums in other stores is professional, this place will excel. When science and health care professionals give us data and facts, we have people (like the owners of this establishment) gridlocking our country into moving forward. If you want to go into establishments without masks again... then be an establishment that can be taken seriously again, by upholding guidelines to end this pandemic. Which it is not a pandemic that every other country made up as well to come after the rights of the United States. Media outlets aren’t changing data to make it worse. What makes it worse is people like David that go around making videos of other establishments trying to do the work to get us out of a pandemic. There are other game stores and other tech savvy professionals in the greater Sacramento area. Don’t recommend 10/10.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The Owner (David) is absolutely awesome. The collection of games is insanely impressive and the atmosphere of the store is great! Ive personally only had headphones repaired but I know that they can repair anything from TVs to pretty much any miscellaneous electronic device you need. Plenty of game tournaments are hosted here as well, so hes definitely doing his part to support local gaming communities!

Stopped in with laptop problems and met Dave who addressed the problem and indicated that it was merely a battery problem and I could fix it myself. When I queried him about another problem with my desktop, he told me how to fix it myself, and there was no pressure to bring it in or pay a lot of money. Just good advice at no cost. Would recommend them any time.

This is THE BEST place to get your tech fixed. Not only are they super helpful and nice, they break down exactly what went wrong and how they fixed it. Great prices on repair and I got a Wii game at a stellar price. I brought in my non functioning gaming pc and he had it up and running the next day. They are so good at their repair, they even gave a 3 month warranty on their work. No additional charge for the warranty. Nobody really does that, you always have to pay extra, not here. I know that as long as they are open I will have an honest, cost effective tech repairman. I would give them more stars if I could. David you are the man!

This place is marvelous! The owner and staff are amazing, helpful and down to earth. There is so much offered here, such as novelty gamer related items including apparel, trinkets, figurines, and stuffed toys. The game and console selection is always diverse and reasonably priced. Practically any electronic device can be fixed, mended, or modded here too. Certain nights during the week are hosted gaming events for a small entrance price. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Ive always been on the lookout for fast quality service when it came to video game repair. I was more than impressed with the quality work they provide at such a quick pace. I felt right at home when he invited me to watch my switch controller get fixed. I will always go to computer booter.

Dave stayed opened for me when I called and told him i was going to be there right at closing time. He took PS4 at 7pm Monday night. He called me the next day at 12 saying the PS4 was fixed. Plus, Dave game me a 6 month warranty on the system. The environment was great. The customer service was better.P.s. I took my PS4 to fair game, they have horrible customer service

First time going in, selection is great and the staff was friendly and super helpful. Gave info on modding game boys and HAS SHELLS AND TOOLS! Great option if you’re not looking to buy everything online. Prices were fair and had games that I’ve been looking for in Sacramento for a while.Offered to test our systems we purchased on OfferUp before buying a power cord, so the staff clearly cares about their customers. Looking forward to becoming a lifelong customer!

I intentionally came here to just get my PS4 fix from David and didnt even realize it was a legit game lounge inside. I was pretty amused by the games itself that I totally forgot my PS4 was finished 😂 was there for about as good times as they come, brought over friends to play other games and we had a great time too. I highly recommend if you go anywhere to 1 vs 1 each other or to just hang out this is the place to go too

Bundy, here, I am a vet who just went to Computer Booter to see about selling my old phone, that he did not want to buy because it was too old or not his style. So I asked if he knew a different shop that might want to buy the phone. He said, yeah theres a guy down the road, who will probably buy it, but I dont like him. I went to the other shop, a local, veteran-owned shop, and he was a great guy. Dont know why this guy at Computer Booter is being disingenuous about local small businesses in the area.

Had my 3DS L button repaired, they did a fantastic job,I can now use Luigis vacuum again hahaha.This place is completely trustworthy, and they always back up repairs with a warranty for a certain amount of days, I have never needed to use it though, because they always do a fantastic job! This place has been a staple of my life for the past few years. The staff is always friendly and cool to tall to. The tournament nights are awesome and a great social space to meet friendly people with common interest. I truly hope this local gem last and they are a hard find but when you find them, they are the greatest!
