Being from out of town I did a little research before deciding where to buy a mixed case of wine. I knew what kinds of wine I wanted but was unfamiliar with the vineyards. The woman who helped was. Patient.. friendly and very knowledgeable and a Great help guiding me through the choices. I left very excited about my purchase.

Tucked away in an empty shopping center with lots of construction, this Wine & Cheese shop is a gem. Excellent selection of wines, cheeses, spreads, crackers. Intimate space for wine tasting - whatever they are serving - smells wonderful. I just went to find some wine & cheese to purchase for our stay in Carlsbad. Good prices. And, absolutely incredible customer service.

You know every time I go there I always find myself having a great time. Very relaxed staff will leave you alone or chat with you or even get in-depth listening or sharing the topic of the evening.Good value for the wine if you purchase it or if you can enjoy your wine flights and appetizer follow the crowd.PS. My little dog was welcomed with open arms and minded his manners with other patrons. All the while, I enjoyed a few glasses of wine and a appetizer combined with some good bartender (sovaier) conversation tonight.

Such a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere! The owner and other wine stewards are very knowledgeable, but very welcoming. Wine flights are really great value.

Nice appointed wine bar and shop. Shop has beer and wine for purchase. Small bar that serves food and wine by the glass. Can also buy a bottle and drink for small corkage. Good for small groups. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

The owner and staff are lovely, warm and smart. They always make you feel welcome and relaxed. Great wines and cheese plates. Also, good to support small businesses.

My Go To place for wine selection and warm, friendly staff. We have charged our Tesla there multiple times and some of them were just to spend time at this local hideout.

The wine selection is fantastic. I didnt expect cheese experts, but the staff is very knowledgeable about cheese as well as wine. They also have some nice craft beer selections for the guys who dont enjoy wine.

Very dissapointed on the deceptive advertising of their wine selection, availability and prices posted online compared when you show up in-store for purchase. They try and get individuals to come to the store, but then say Oh, it just got sold!. But even if you wait a few days or weeks, they never seem to update their on-line store stock (even after 1 week it says 9 in stock and lets you being the checkout process - so it seems more of a marketing gimmick or bait-and-switch to get people to come to the store. Made me waste 1.5 hours of driving which was frustrating.I had given the business the benefit of the doubt, but after not fixing the mistake (few months and many occasions) it is clear the business owner is using this as part of a ploy.

La Costa Wine Co. is a truly fun experience. We went there for a Paul Hobbs tasting on Friday and back again for a Saturday wine tasting dinner for Idle Cellars. The wines LCWC has on its shelves cover the spectrum from interesting boutique & reasonably priced wines to . . . the other kind!!! On the Friday tasting, the Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir was outstanding! Well worth a try. I think youll like it!

What a great place to sit down with friends and enjoy a local experience of the Wine Country! Have a taste of cheese and ask for Genevieve to perfectly compliment your wine!

Great little spot. Had a great cheese board and a 94pt pinot noir. Only wish they offered tastings as that was my mission for the day so be prepared to order full glasses.
