Great market with awesome fresh juice and sandwich bar. It has a fresh and hot food section with to go containers.I also went for some herbal supplant that my girlfriend asked me to pick up for her and the person working the herbal section knew exactly what and where it was, saving me a bunch of time. Would definitely recommend for a good local experience.

I love this New Leaf for specialty items. I get food from the deli and smoothies. They have a great selection of natural remedies and supplements. They also have great service, just dont expect it to be cheap.

...grateful kept the store open even though I was there at 8:55 PM. Had an awesome golden potatoe and tried the teriyaki beef on skewer..So good ...so grateful they stayed open for me that I might have an amazing dinner when I got home and cooked it.. Also some 2% milk and and avo which I munched with chips.

I really hate to do this, but after shopping here for several years this feedback is long overdue. New Leaf has high quality produce and a nice selection of healthy/clean foods and products. But there is a glaring problem with the customer service. The prepared foods counter and checkout service is more often than not, terrible. There is rarely a hello or even a slight smile and at times staff is engaging in conversion with each other and will barely acknowledge you. Being friendly and polite with these employees makes no difference at all in their behavior. Its as if much of the staff is grumpy or apathetic. At this point and after all these years, I am considering shopping elsewhere. There is no excuse for poor service.

Walked over a couple of days ago just before 6pm to pick up some meat to grill ... meat counter was closing down because ... he wanted to ? ... he wasnt super clear ... but he clearly wouldnt serve me or the lady that also wanted to grill ... btw rest of the store open and operating ... oh well.

You know, when every time you walk into a grocery store and have a feel-good experience and customer service that is positive and friendly, thats a good thing. I think the people that work there are happy to be there and thats not something I can say about a lot of other places. They might all say the right words, but these people really seem to mean it.

If you live in Capitola or Santa Cruz and you are on the east side or maybe you are visiting from far away places then this is the mecca for organic food. An extra bonus are the beautiful women who work there.

They have new owners and keep cutting back on products. They have so called discounts but you can never figure out how they apply because their hidden on the receipts. You try and order things and you never get a call back. Ive shopped there for years and see a big change to the negative. Also their prices are higher.Shop at Staff of Life Less expensive and more value and a greater range of unique products.

Man its nice to have a new leaf. Ive been shopping in a very small Safeway for months and the produce and meat and really the selection of everything is just sooo much better here. Also the covid precautions are really solid, excepting the stylus.

Great locally sourced food. Awesome produce department. Salad bar is great for a quick snack heading into work. The team at the juice bar was exceptional even when busy!! Great job guys keep it up.

Since being purchased by new seasons new leaf has declined in produce and food quality, and increased in price. Customer service has stayed consistent (my only reason for 2 stars). Today I got a salad from the hot bar and it was soggy, the vegetables were over cooked... the dressing was flavorless. Very sad to see a place I once loved dearly turn to this.

If supporting regional and local businesses is important to you then come here for the best selection before going further.

I wish they had a little more Chinese selection like the hot mustard which is powder and you make your own. And they used to sell this round box of sweet hot sour soup that you just add a couple of tablespoons with water and it was great but you guys no longer carry that.

New Leaf on 41st St has the best maple syrup Also, they dont use a chemical to stop their tumeric & ginger from sprouting, unlike Staff of Life They also have a good price on Bell Weather sheeps milk yoghurt I shop there just for these items

Just another large company posing as a LOCA health foods tote. Over priced to make someone else rich who doesn’t even live in California.Not fair to their employees, and after I resigned (with conformation from office in Oregon) the manager told everyone who called (as a reference) I was fired.Don’t was you money here go to the farmers market and support farmers directly.

Easy store to navigate, large produce selection, vaierty of cheeses, bulk products and much more. Staff has always been friendly and helpful.

The prices here are ridiculous. The same exact things I can buy at Safeway or Nob Hill are about 25% higher. When I checked out, I unloaded all my stuff on to the checkout conveyor belt and after this, the checker at the next station asked me to move over to her register since she had just opened up. So I gathered up all my items, in my arms, and walked to the next register. By the time I got there, some guy came running up and started pulling his items on ahead of me. The checker, who had asked me to move over said nothing and did nothing. So I carried everything back to my original line. There, the person who was ahead of me had checked. So I was next; only the checker here had never completed the transaction. The woman before me had to be chased down in the parking lot and had to come back and completely redo the ATM payment process. This place is a joke.

This is a particularly location for the health-conscious grocery store chain. This location has a full deli, cafe/smoothie bar, salad bar, and outdoor dining area. The groceries are on the pricey side (as all natural food stores are), but overall a great place!

I hate to say it but this market is so much better since it was bought by I believe Canadian investors. The staff is much better trained and literally bend over backwards to help customers and make sure theyre satisfied . If something really needs to be returned they are very accommodating . Their produce is wonderful . The sheer amount of organic food is also wonderful . lovely to Shopiere

Cute little New Leaf store hidden away in the back of the parking lot. Smaller than others and a bit pricey, like all natural grocery stores but super convenient for the neighborhood.

New Leaf keeps going steadily down hill. Too bad, it used to be about the only place I shopped. Today, after ringing me up, the checker said Would you like help with your bag? Really? In other words, its my job to bag my groceries, but hell help cause hes so nice. I had just come from Whole Foods, where two people were bagging while I was being checked out. Sad.

The one on 41st has changed. It used to be more friendly and when you asked a question they could answer or find an answer. Last time I asked about some seasonal vegi the produce person said I Dont Know and left.The one down town you have to be prepared to bag your own groceries or the cashier will give you the eye. It would not be so bad if the cost reflected you bagging but no its expensive and you do all the work.Hands down the best New Leaf store is Felton. Then have everything I need and are helpful and friendly. The even bag onless you want to do it.
