I wish I could rate negative star. Basically, we got the worst experience you can have in any open business. The employees are so angry. We were told our order was ready to pick up so we went there. Then, they realized something was actually not fulfilled. And the person who handled our order got angry and another guy started to blame us. Our constructor tried to explain what were needed and he rudely told him stop talking. For a moment, I thought we were talking to a judge. All other employees started to hostility starred at us like we were the problems. We paid thousands of dollars for the order and got blamed for their own fault.

I just got a Trex deck from them and from the time I place the order, until it was delivered (in the thumb of Michigan) everything went smoothly.All the material was high quality and nothing was back ordered. I had such an amazing experience at Mans Lumber! I purchased some lumber from the front sales counter about 2 weeks ago and was amazed by the service I received. I will be recommending Mans to anyone in need of new updates in their home or even a few pieces of lumber like myself.

This place does an excellent job of hamburgers, cheeseburgers french fries and so on. The burgers are hot, fresh and made to order. They are fully the equivalent of the 15 centers I used to get as a kid. The problem is that they now cost about $4, which is on the ragged far outer Edge of what might properly be charged for such an item. Youre better off to go spend eight bucks for a full size Burger meal at one of the moderately upscale watering holes.

Unfortunately the delivery guy damaged our driveway in May 2020 and they promised to compensate us and we came to an agreement that never came to pass. I have to keep reaching out and keep getting assured its being taken care of but it is now November 2020 and we are still waiting. Good products & prices but this is unacceptable & unprofessional. Its been 6 months! Make good on your word for the damages! I shouldnt have to reach out monthly to remind you.

We renovated our basement during a pandemic time period when cabinetry sources (like Ikea) could not even estimate time frame for getting cabinets of any sort in. Kristin Andrews at Mans came to the rescue and did an outstanding job getting us the kitchen and utility cabinetry we wanted in our preferred timeframe. Cannot say enough about the extra mile she went sorting out details, providing renderings, etc. I will be recommending her and Mans to clients in my real estate business.

Did not have a very good experience with this company at all. Bought 7 new doors and they got them wrong 2 TIMES! Also, every time I called with my complaints they made me feel like it was my fault. The first time: they quoted me the wrong jams, had to return them for jamb rebuild. The second time: they didnt cut the jams correctly, had to return them for jamb rebuild AND dent and scratch repair. This last time I received them they stacked the doors wrong and broke the door stopper. The door stopper is a simple fix but for someone that spent 3,000 dollars on doors I would have expected better service

If they have the item as stock, you will do ok.However, I was disappointed with the sales persons indifference to assist in sizing a door for me.I thought Mans was supposed to be like a hometown lumber place that would do a cut, however they are more streamlined into the quick sale.When they go out of business trying to compete with Home Depot - its because they didnt do the small things - that locals like me appreciate.Disappointed.

First time coming here and service was good until we asked for a receipt. It took longer then usual and when we got home, some of the wood was damaged, so we had to go back to exchange it. Another competitor had better wood had at cheaper price.

I couple of months ago I went into Mans to get an estimate on a Trex deck. The employees were professional, educated, and more than helpful. I have only good things to say about this company. I will definitely be using them again.

Mans is the Man! Everybody there is on top of their game. Sales desk is flush with knowledgeable personnel. Why would you go to a big box store?

They were supposed to fill the gap the closing of our loved Fingerlee created in Ann Arbor.They are not even remotely close to provide a comparable service.They do respond fast until you pay. When they get your money it can takes weeks before they return a correspondence (if they do respond).Price is fair, delivery is fair as well.However, working on a larger project I needed a large amount of decking boards.Talking with their staff, they assured me they check every boards before loading them so I wont received bad apples.They delivered me a first time. About 1/4 of my wood delivery was boards to warped or damaged that it was impossible to use.After almost three weeks of communication they finally exchanged the boards.They bring me board so damage that they were even in a worst shape than the original load. All of them. I got the message.They did collecte the previous boards. But their staff decided to leave me with few of them because the warping was so bad they were unable to load them!!!!Anyway. After spending weeks trying to contact them. They finally respond that nothing can be done because we are now having a wood shortage.I get it. Wood shortage happens... My order was placed end of may! We are almost at the end of August.Weeks passed. And they wont even respond to my email or returned my calls anymore...You are better going to the big name store than working with them.Their price was good so two stars.Never again.

My wife and I were shopping for a new patio door and stopped at Mann’s to see what they had. The sales person was great on showing us what they had and giving us brochures. She also gave us they’re installation guy phone numbers. We called Paul Rigans personal cell and office number leaving all my info for him to call with no contact from him at all. I like your store but you need a new installation person

Despite being a primarily commercial operation, I thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The material was cut to my specifications and securely bundled. The warehouse even helped load it in my car! Product quality is excellent (on level with picking over a home centers stock but without the hassle) and prices are very competitive. Highly recommended!

As a retail shopper I have continued to use Mans as a primary source for my home improvement and repair needs. My most frequent purchases involve building and repair materials and home improvement supplies and in those categories I find the selection and quality to be very good. When I dont find what I want the staff is excellent at helping to find an alternative or to order what I need if it is a product that is still being manufactured and sold on the retail market.The facilities are first class and well organized and customer service will always be great. I would recommend shopping at Mans whenever you have either interior or exterior home improvement, home repair or tool requirements.

One of the drivers was making a delivery at my apartment complex. The truck was parked in a place that made it difficult for me to back up. As opposed to just directing me or leaving me be, he actually moved his truck having to put the ramp away and everything! That really struck me as an act of kindness and going above and beyond the normal call of duty. Due to this one employees kindness Mans Do It Center has earned my business from this point forward!

Great customer service provided and great work done here. I took my old interior doors here and they matched up and did the millwork on new 6 panel white doors. I was easily able to hang the new doors without a problem. Well priced and worth the money.

I have a timeline to get my flooring finished before we paint. One of the sales guys came out and took 2 hours from my day to measure the project. He said he would send me the price for the project same day or no later then the next day. It’s been 4 days and still no estimate. Not sure why I have to chase a company down to give them my business. Plenty of other flooring companies I can go to. Waste of time.

Disappointing experience with lumber quality. I assumed I could get better quality 2x4x104-5/8 here compared to a big box. I bought 20 studs. The price was good, but of the 20 studs only about 7 are usable due to warping and poor edges after only 2 days. Ive had good luck with the millwork from Mans, but will be going elsewhere for the rest of my framing lumber for my project..

My contractor sent me in to pay for materials on a job I hired him for. He went in and told them what I needed and just sent me to pay. They charged me retail price Rather then giving me the contractors pricing who sent me into pay. I even told the lady this is much more expensive then I discussed with the contractor. ($1500-2000) When the contractor went back and complained to them and said he should be able to send his clients into pay for materials they argued and wouldn’t not adjust the pricing. I don’t recommend this company as that’s totally uncalled for and that’s the last time I use them or the contractor that I was working with. You would think they would want to make it right.

Check-in was very easy and the cashiers there were very welcoming and polite. I make it my favorite shopping store!

Scheduled appt for a sales rep to measure for new front double exterior doors and sidelights. Was told to call if I needed to change time or reschedule so the sales rep would not waste a trip. The sales rep called 5 minutes before our appt time and said he was 20 or so minutes behind...He arrived (late) and measured the door. He inquired about what color stain I wanted and I showed him my wood flooring for reference and grabbed a piece from the garage so he could see the name and wood species. He said he would send the estimate by the end of the week. I received the estimate via email within a reasonable timeframe. I replied to the email and asked if there were samples I could see in the store/showroom. He called me and said there were samples at the store/showroom and that he would be in that day but one of the other reps could help me. This is where things took a turn for the worst...During visit one I showed the rep the estimate I received and asked to see wood species and stain colors for the Jeldwen and Simpson doors that were listed in the estimate. She complained about the estimates not having enough information, only showed wood species samples for the Jeldwen door and started showing me patio doors...after leaving I emailed the rep who provided the estimate and told him that it was probably best that I return when he was there so he could show me samples of the doors listed in the estimate. He apologized for my experience during the first visit and we agreed on a day and time to meet...I arrive for visit two and he was not there. A lady introduces me to another guy who I was told would help me until the other rep returned. I showed him the estimate and asked to see samples. He showed me doors by Simpson and Jeldwen and said he had a Simpson door and that it’s held up great. I told him I wanted to see wood and stain samples he said my initial rep would be back soon. 20 minutes later the rep who sent me the estimate appears. He said he was late because he was helping a friend lay bricks...He was not prepared at all for our appointment and said a number of the samples I wanted to see were at the Birmingham store. We had discussed the details of the types of wood I wanted and I had shown him the color I wanted yet he had none of the samples and didn’t even have a copy of the estimate for reference. I came prepared to finalize the details so the order could be placed but could not because of his lack of preparation for our meeting.

Incompetent buffoons. a single order, problems with delivery, problems with pickup, problems getting credit back to my account (over $500 ), just terrible, terrible, terrible. saving $100 compared to Wimsatt is NOT WORTH IT.

Staff does not know their products. To the point of not even knowing if they carry a certain brand or if they stopped being a factory service center Two years ago!!! Buyer Beware. Call ahead and then call ahead again and ask for someone else. Take the average of all replies. I would go somewhere more trust worthy. Not saying they are dishonest, just incompetent.

Delivery was promised next day. Then the next day. And when I called two days later, it was supposedly on the truck in route, but never showed up.The next day they said they couldnt find the address. But they had delivered material before to this address. Finally on the fourth day it was delivered, but to the wrong address.Chelsea Lumber is not far away and I would very much recommend using them. One or two mistakes is understandable due to the nature of the business and logistics, but the four they sequentially made shows their incompetence and arrogance.

Def order from here. Cheapest priced material and they deliver for only 50 bucks! Phone order guys actually know what theyre talking about. Makes home depot look like its run by blind Chinese children... well, kinda.

DO NOT HAVE THIS PLACE INSTALL YOUR CARPET !!!! The carpet installed in our new house were horrible. Within a month, the carpet on the stairs are falling apart- detached from the stairs. My husband and I along with our builders foreman called the main guy who handle this but no answer. Never return any phone calls. Protruding nails/tacks are now becoming hazard. Stepped on them accidentally. I have small kids that goes up and down the stairs and cannot prevent them all day to do so. Carpet are loose on the very top of the stairs and getting worst.
