Food was excellent! Decor was eclectic and trendy. We found this place on a whim and so glad we did! Service was prompt and our server was personable. We spoke to the owner a few times, she was not very friendly and appeared to have no time to speak. The wine bar has been opened for less than a year, the place has much to offer. I recommend the owner to be a bit more engaging and make an effort to connect with her customers. Had the place been busy, I would have understood but there were only 2 other persons present. Will definitely return the next time I’m in Cambridge.
What a cute little stop for an afternoon cocktail and a snack pick-me-up. Inventive cocktail list showed someone had a lot of experience crafting drinks, we also had an excellent pepita-pesto flatbread with crush green olives that was delicious. In addition to wines by the glass (yes, I tried that too, a Spanish white that was perfect for the moment), they also have some gourmet pantry items and sell wine and beer. If you have to go to a party or are hosting a get together, this would be the perfect place to stop and get a gift or pick up things for your own home. I look forward to a return visit!
I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! Great atmosphere, great drinks, and fun and super nice employees. Natalie was the BEST! I will definitely be returning. Nothing like this. Excited to have visited from North Carolina.
Vintage 414 is a true gem in Cambridge. They stock high quality wines from all over the world at extremely reasonable prices. Their food is also worth noting and great to share with your friends! Definitely one of the best spots downtown.
Go here. Light/wonderful appetite fare. Flatbreads, chessboards, perfectly dressed amazing salads. Great wine selection with knowledgeable help in choosing. They pride themselves on finding inexpensive gems. We were heading to Poplar but needed a table outside and we gave Vintage 414 a try. Glad we did.
The cocktail, Sage Against the Machine, and the Ham & Gruyere cheese Hot Pocket sandwich was delicious
Delicious foods and a selection and knowledge that is one of a kinda to the area!
While visiting in this area, I stumbled upon this business. The environment is inviting, and decorated with great taste. Well stocked with unique small gift items, condiments, wines, beers, etc. The food was delicious, the spinach salad is one of the best I have ever eaten. I also had the ham and gruyere hot pocket, which was well prepared, seasoned to perfection and the bread was awesome. This business opended about a year ago and running a new business has to be very stressful especially in the days of COVID. On the day I visited there were very few customers, one of the owners assisted us, I got the same reaction as another patron.Owner was matter fact, and lacked warmth, some connection with customers will go a long way and the gem you have will grow through word of mouth. Best of luck.
Another stellar evening at Vintage 414 in Cambridge, MD. Everything is first class! Incredible wine selection ( inspired and unique cocktails looked amazing too, but I’m not a cocktail drinker), delicious food and great service! This business opened during the pandemic and met that challenge with grit and creativity. Oh, and don’t leave without taking home the handmade bar snacks: cheddar cheese shortbread crackers and the sweet and salty nuts.
First time there. Should have gone sooner. Great lunch.
I was surprised by the sheer volume of choices for drinks/beer. The staff was pleasant, not pushy, and the environment is tasteful. The only draw back was the lighting is a little bright for a late evening out for a cocktail. I didnt try the food, but from what I saw, it appeared well plated and fresh.
Always a great time. An incredible wine selection. Wonderful cocktails and they have the whiskey that I regularly drink but enough about the booze. The food is fresh, delicious and well presented. The staff makes the whole dining experience a delight. Two thumbs up!!
Excellent cocktails, friendly competent staff and yummy food!
Food is always amazing!! Natalie great!!! We will keep coming back here (:
We absolutely loved our time at Vin. Wow! The owners, Natalie and Emily, have really outdone themselves. From the wine, to the food, to the retail section, no detail has been left untouched. We can’t wait to get back to the Eastern Shore to enjoy the experience again!
Went there, olives, nuts and Pinot were good. Service could have been better. Never asked if I wanted more. They just brought me the check without inquiring if there was anything else they could get me(had they done the the bill for this single diner could have been at least $65.00). As the saying goes....you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Was there last Thursday night. Drinks, food, atmosphere was all top notch! A welcome addition to Cambridge. I am looking forward to many more fun nights at Vintage 414.
The wait is finally over and Natalie and Emily have not disappointed us. The decor is fresh, service top notch and wine and food were perfect!
The heart and design of the owner truly shines to create a wonderful atmosphere. We are excited to make this establishment a frequent place to visit.
Great wine selection highly recommended!!
I don’t typically write reviews. Especially long ones. I just spent a couple of hours at Vintage 414. The surroundings are fresh and updated with a calming look that will feel good to a couple of generations. The music is appealing to those of us who grew up in the 60’s and 70’s but with enough of a hip vibe to make millennials feel at home too. There’s a nice selection of a variety of wines, snacks, etc. for carry out. You might or might not recognize the bottles, but ask and you’ll learn more about them than you ever expected to know. The choices of wine have been curated by Natalie Brewer, one of the owners, who has applied years of experience, study and gained-knowledge to the selection. Tables are safely spaced and each has its own hand sanitizer, of course packaged inside a bottle that compliments the decor. No details have been spared. We ordered the French cheese plate, a glass of Pinot Grigio, a glass of Pinot Noir, a couple of beers and signature cocktails. Great start. We followed with the pork sausage flatbread, the carmelized onion flatbread and tri-colored quinoa bowl. The great awakening happened when the food we ordered started coming. There’s no doubt this place is about wine and specialty foods. This is not bar food. Natalie’s business partner, Emily Salisbury, and sous chef, Colleen Hughes, work together in the modest kitchen area. I’d put it up against any place I’ve been for quality and originality. The ingredients are fresh and delicious including home-grown produce and herbs and home-made sausage. There’s no telling how they pulled off the sweet and perfectly caramelized onions in the flatbread. For dessert, one of us ordered the olive oil cake. Perfectly moist and full of flavor accented with berries and whipped ricotta and garnished with tarragon, this dessert was out of this world. Another ordered the black forest mousse, described as creamy, rich and delicious. If you’re looking for a relaxed place to unwind and enjoy a few drinks paired professionally, if you ask, with the freshest and most delicious and original accompaniments, you will not be sorry if you put on your mask and head out to this place. Believe me, you’ll go back.
Great experience.
