Really nice CVS with a very wide variety of products. The grocery section is on the first floor, pharmacy and health on the second floor. It is nicely air conditioned and has an exceptional variety of products. Very expensive as all CVSes are, but youre paying for convenience. Great check out staff that work fast and dont chat too much.
The pharmacy misplaced my prescription and were able to replace it two days after.
I went to the pharmacy at 5:00 on Saturday 4/18 to pick up a prescription for my kitten. I received probably the most outstanding customer service I’ve ever had. I didn’t catch of the young woman helping me (I wish I did!!) but she was thorough, kind, and very patient as there were a lot of complications (on my end) with the prescription. I wish I could reach-out to a manager to tell them how great both of their employees in the pharmacy we’re at this time. I even saw them helping a lost woman get directions. I can’t thank them enough for being so helpful and kind!!!
Went here tonight and cashier tried to trick me into getting carepass. I don’t know if they make commission or brownie points or what but BEWARE. He asked me if i had an extra CARE CARD and i replied “yes”. Suddenly he has me putting in information and is giving me a rundown on how to use the CAREPASS program (i never indicated that i wanted to be apart of that program) When i told him i already tried Carepass he was acting sus. I don’t make a habit of reviews about chains but I want people to be careful and make sure you’re aware of what you’re signing up for at this CVS.
Nice store but tends to get a little crowded due to the size and layout of the place it doesnt have a BIG selection or wide aisles most everything in some areas is split into rows and all other stuff is upstairs so it can be a little challenging getting from department to department luckily it has PLENTY of checkouts both upstairs and self/ regular downstairs it has most what you need is right across from the Harvard MBTA Red Line Station also very close on the street level to other bus routes so the location is perfect for anything in Harvard Square it does get busy outside also due to so many people being in the area so this CVS serves many people in the square and there isnt another around for a few miles so use this one if you are in the area it will have everything you need just slightly limited.
Best in Cambrige
Janelle at the pharmacy was very very helpful and welcoming. She took our issue with another CVS location as her own and reached out for us to have the things were asking for resolved at another location. Great customer service and knowledgeable about her work!
I entered this store at 7 am. I saw 3 employees all pointing fingers. When it came Time to pay all registers were closed and 2 of the 3 were pointing their fingers at the self check out? I dont work here. Everything is customer service nowadays, pointing fingers is not customer. Dont cservice.
I came here to get my visa photo done for an upcoming trip. The woman in charge of photos was unwilling to comply with the format (standard size of 33 by 48cm, no shadows) and told me to go get my picture elsewhere if this wasn’t ‘good enough’. Given that my hair looked white in the photo, because the light was so bad, I had to leave.Pretty much the worst customer service I have seen in a CVS.
Crowded when school was in session so be prepared to wait at checkout. Lots of self checkout
Their minute clinic closes at 7 PM. At 6:30 PM I was headed there and called the general store to see if they were still accepting patients. Turns out the minute clinic nurse left for the day 30 minutes early- either change your business hours or be more professional.
Without a doubt one of the slowest CVS pharmacies. Takes a long time to fill prescriptions, refuses to fill them even with more than their 15 minute policy. I have been here a few times recently, today they refused to serve me, and the last time they had me wait for 45 minutes and then questioned why I was sitting in the waiting area. Outside of their fault but some customers are also unprepared and can slow down the line severely. The store in general though is large and fairly organized but who knows why CVS needed 3 locations in the square
Based on only Pharmacy:Recent times while having to call in to ask a question, i have been on hold for at least 5-6 minutes, then i just hang up, and call again later then the same thing happens. CVS really needs to work on having a system that you can call to ask a question regarding your medication or etc where an actual person needs to pick up the phone and answer your question, instead of putting you on hold for a good 10 plus minutes.
Had a complicated situation and the manager Kelley Imfeld was extremely patient and helpful! She is at the right job and in the right position!
By far the worst CVS I have ever been to in my entire life . Guess the store manager is pleasant but thats where the management team customer service ends. Many of them have nasty attitudes and theyre nothing but rude to the customers and when there is an issue its your fault and your problem not theirs. The store is very rarely stocked well and if you need to see if they have something in the back you might as well be asking for their first born kid because the moaning and groaning is pathetic . They often forget to pull old sale prices down and then yell at you when you want them to correct it to get the price they have advertised. Overall the only thing this store has going for it is a fact that its in Harvard Square if it wasnt Im sure that it wouldnt last as long as it has. There are other stores that have the exact same services and products not even half a mile away and trust me its worth going that extra half a mile. Overall I wouldnt even send my worst enemy into a store and if for some reason you have to go in there I feel very badly for you. The regular customer service staff is nothing but pleasant and does try to help its really the management team that needs an attitude adjustment.
I spent close to 45 minutes on hold with the pharmacy, they still didnt answer. I need to refill my prescription--I understand that they are busy but this wait is completely unacceptable. If they are this understaffed, they should potentially hirer someone to answer the phone for the pharmacy.
This is your average CVS except I find it to be cleaner than most drug stores in the area. Most of what youll need is upstairs (which can be confusing at first), including the pharmacy. I found that on a slow afternoon, the pharmacy workers were exceptionally rude when I asked them about insurance options. Unimpressed with that service! Another bummer is the lack of Apple Pay. But if you need something in a jiffy, this is the best place nearby.
This CVS has the greatest staff of all time
Great service, clean floors. The express checkouts are really simple to use
There is another CVS I think right around the corner but this is the big CVS right off the Red Line here in Harvard Square. It has 2 floors the first floor mainly has food and drinks and greeting cards and paper goods. The second floor has all the stuff thats not paper or food. So its set up a little differently. There is an elevator here. There is a bathroom here but Im pretty sure thats questionable. Most of the bathrooms in Harvard Square are. The staff are nice the prices are better than Walgreens and not one staff member has ever verbally abused me or harassed me or bullied me like one of the staff at Walgreens has. That Walgreens is on Beacon Street in Somerville and that staff persons name is GLENDA. Im asking all customers of Walgreens who are reading this to boycott Walgreens and go to CVS instead. Nobody ever will abuse you here.No not everybody is a great customer service person but most are here. Worth it to change drug stores and go to CVS. And theres a Starbucks right next door and the Harvard Coop. The Coops bathrooms two sets on the 3rd floor are probably the cleanest in the entire Square. But this CVS probably has the most stuff here in the Cambridge area. Nice staff.
This is the go to place for a quick convenience run in Harvard Square. A rather large CVS in itself with any convenience item you could ever want.
Worst cvs ever. they have the worst customer service. I asked a question ND the guy could not answer me kept saying yes ND my question was not a yes or no question. Even the supervisors dont know how to speak english.none of them know how to make correct change. Need to train your employees better
I get my prescriptions here, and they are almost always timely. One situation there was a mixup between locations and it was difficult to get my medicine. One worker; however, personally called the other location and filled my medicine for me, which completely redeemed my experience!
A large CVS offering everything youd expect. Fast checkout staff too
The only place you can find a good snack at 3am.
CVS is open 24/7, what more could a college student ask for? Located in the middle of Harvard square, its location is unparalled, and with everyone you could need, it is a lifesaver for any Harvard student. I would not recommend consistently buying food because it slightly overpriced.
The best cvs in cambridge it right there when i need something. the people are so friendly they are the best.
The pharmacy staff did not want to wait two minutes after closing time to give me my emergency medicine. They also yell at you if you ask questions.
Terrible employees.
The best CVS. I really like It. The costumer service its really really good.
Usually a helpful staff. Convinent, right off the T.
Conveniently located on Harvard Square, but theres usually a long line despite many registers being open.
Pharmacy is overly difficult to work with. Refilling prescription toothpaste is a daunting task.
Terrible business. The staff here is very rude and they frequently run out of products. The price markup is also very noticeable. Worth anyones time to walk a little father and go somewhere else.
No longer has pharmacy. The new 24 hour location across the street now has the pharmacy.
Lots of choices and well categorized
Very rude customer service!!
They are in prime location, but have limited stuff.
Good varieties..
The hub of havard sq
Bad service at check out
Standard CVS, high prices due to location.

Worst cvs
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Overpriced in most items
Useless staff
Very busy
A supermarket with everything from hair sprays to sweets.
