They don’t deserve even a single star. The staff and management is very arrogant and don’t care about customer service. The clothes and dresses are way expensive and the staff clearly show discrimination to asians. They misbehaved without being apologetic while we were in the shop 30-40 mins prior to closing time and they said they misbehaved because it was approaching closing time. As a fellow Asian I felt humiliated today seeing how the whole staff was overly helpful to a white couple and were mean to us. Would never go there again and would suggest all my fellow Asians to avoid this store.
An amazing store! Pratiki went above and beyond to help me find an outfit for my cousin’s wedding. She understood my budget and walked me through the traditions of a Seik wedding.
I have very mixed feelings about this place, so it took me some time to gather my thoughts...I thought the family that runs the shop seemed very friendly and helped me try on many different items, helped me try to maximize my budget and educated me about their clothing options. That said, a few things perturbed me greatly. First, I got a $30 parking ticket while there... which is 100% my own fault. However, the response I got was, why? We have free parking! A large lot in back, we even have a sign! Now, the sign is painted on a door which is to the far right of what looked like the entrance door. On what looked like the entrance door is a sign stating to enter the store using a door to the far left. No where on either of those doors did it mention the free parking. Im talking there is at least 20-30 between doors. Ok, my fault.Second, the clothing there is exorbitantly expensive. Similar items online are at least 50%-75% cheaper. Why did I go to this store, you ask, if that is the case? Because I waited too long to safely order for an upcoming wedding and I had NO IDEA how to dress myself in Indian clothing. I ended up spending way too much for an outfit that I only marginally liked. When I tried to return them THE VERY NEXT DAY I was told that all sales are final. No exceptions. tags still on, still in the bag. Please keep in mind that this store is 1-2 hours from my home (depending on traffic) so I felt compelled to come home with something... and then thought better of it.Third, some of the clothes in the front of the store had sun damage, leading me to think they had been there for many years. Weird, yet they were still VERY expensive. So, I guess, if you have a short deadline and money to burn feel free to shop here. But please know there is free parking in the back!
I went here to get clothes & i had a budget and time deadline & everyone here was polite & great. The whole process was smooth for me and my partner, they have lots of options, for lots of budgets. A wonderful experience. Not sure why there are negative reviews! Finished altering my clothes before they said they would!
The woman who was in charge was incredibly rude and disrespectful, pulling items out of our hands and putting them back on the rack. Very inhospitable and did not make us feel like buying anything there. Horrible service.
Beautiful store with a huge selection
Excellent experience shopping for a bridal outfit for a friend. The owner and her daughter were fabulous and they took considerable time in helping us find the perfect outfit. I would highly recommend!
Im not sure why this place has a low rating. I went in looking for something to wear to an Indian wedding and everyone was very friendly and attentive as needed. They will help you get into the clothes and teach you to do it on your own. Nothing has sizes because they can alter everything, so there are a ton of options. I now have a beautiful custom-fit outfit to wear to the wedding. Great service and great options. Highly recommended!
If you want your bridal wear shopping experience to be a pleasant one, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They basically shunned us out because we wanted to try more than two bridal dresses, and because, in their words, your wedding is in a year. ...Whatever that means. The woman literally wouldnt take a dress off of a mannequin because it was a lot of work. They definitely lost our business.
You must consider that this is boutique. The negative reviews of price and selection dont consider this. If you want cheaper and more variety, good luck finding a shop even remotely close to Cambridge/Boston.I had a great experience with a younger woman at the shop! She was polite, open minded and helped me find a Saree for a festival. This review is actually of almost a year ago, but I promised I would leave one and forgot lolIm living in London now and there are a LOT of options for Indian wear and so prices span from much cheaper to an incredible amount of money. If you need alterations, try to find a small tailor that will do them if you mind the fee.
Awesome selection of beautiful, traditional Indian bridal and formal wear.Wonderful service and my items were altered on-site for a reasonable cost.
Honestly, I dont think Ive ever had a worse customer service experience in my life. After I had tried on two dresses, one of the owners essentially accused my fiancé and I of not being serious about buying something and refused to help us further. I honestly dont know why she assumed that we wouldnt make a purchase, but her rudeness ensured that our hard earned money would be spent elsewhere.
A few months ago, I bought a beautiful dress for a friends wedding. The attention I was given was superb and I left the store happy with my clothing and jewelry purchase. At the last minute, I wore another salwar kameez for the occasion and stored my newly bought dress with my other desi clothes. As I pick this dress from my storage, I noticed that the beading has begun to fall off and the material is beginning to rip apart. This dress wasnt cheap and I expect that the quality of the clothing would reflect the price. Now Im left trying to fix an outfit Ive never worn. Im debating on just reusing an old salwar kameez Ive owned for years vs this new one thats breaking apart. Disappointing.
Nice people. Very helpful. Quality garments.
I wish i visited here first before browsing on amazon. The quality of what i found here was significantly better than amazon yet only a little more expensive. The customer service was very good as well. This shop also has mens clothes which is what i was looking for here.
Had a polite, professional, and efficient experience selecting and trying on a kurta.
I can’t express how grateful I am for the hospitality, kindness and timeliness that the team at Chhabra Bridal dedicated to helping me find my first lehenga and adorning it with the necessary accessories to complete the look.I came in less than a week from my first Indian wedding and was in desperate need to find a saree or lehenga that would be durable and beautiful and fit into a timeline that would allow for alterations and a second fitting. The team dedicated time to making sure I was happy with my selections and that I was prepared for what to expect at my first Indian wedding.Bless the heart of Prakriti - she’ll likely be the one helping you find what you’re looking for, do the fittings and answer all your questions. She was extremely kind and patient with me and made sure I had the right accessories to complete the outfits. She is humble and mature beyond her years. The seamstress there (I forgot her name) was extremely diligent in alterations and made additional alterations on my second fitting on-the-spot as she knew I was on a specific timeline. She was really nice and patient.I got to chat with one of the owners - the woman (I didn’t get her name) - and she was down-to-earth and really informative on current world news and lended a hand in making sure my outfits were what I wanted. Her compliments made me feel more confident in the lehengas that I chose and I valued her expertise greatly. All in all, I would definitely come back to Chhabra Bridal for future occasions as the service and team are superb and the selections are gorgeous! Bravo!
A group of us are traveling to India for a wedding. Some people reccommended Chhabra bridal to us, and they did not dissapoint. Gorgeous clothing, and the customer service was fabulous!! I would highly recommend, you will no be dissapointed.
Lovely family business, very welcoming and friendly
Very nice customer service...Looking forward to see u soon
The owner is always ready to help and is having fun with this store which makes atmosphere much more warming. At first,I thought I was being watched over but they are like a bridal store...right there at ur service. They do alterations in the back too. Affordable for the amount of beauty and detail that goes into these stunning pieces for both genders and all ages. Id love to win a shopping spree here. I cd play dress up all day here:) the authentic Indian bangles are even priced good compared to what I have seen online and this is a very original store. We have everything here including all ethnicities of food, types of bars, fast food, antique shops, tanning, liquor, corner stores, coffee shops etc. I dont see authentic Indian clothing thats not too over the top authentic.by having fitted items it gives it more of an American style instead of the loose look that they are known to wear. It is exotic but relatable and opens ur eyes even more to how bland some typical cocktail dresses or even bridesmaid dresses can be here in America. Nice location for a refreshing new type of store.
Service not as friendly as 10 years ago when I was personally assisted by Shelley Chabra. This time around it felt like the scene in Pretty Woman when they would not help Julia Roberts. Came in specifically for an outfit for my cousin Binas wedding - a lehenga or saree. Disappointed
I just want people to know that the service was great the Bhagwandeen family.
Very helpful and nice staff in the shop
Good stuff if u need it urgently and ready to pay anything.Everything is costly.
They did their help well but not returning. And they charge 30 $ for adjustments to their blouses. Little expensive to.
They are very rude and the quality of cloths is very poor. If this types and quality of cloths someone want to sale in India or Bangladesh, no ones buy it.
The prices are too high
Ok
Very costly
Over priced
