Wonderful store! Super convenient, always stocked, variety of “just what is needed” products! But the real reason why we go there is service and friendliness of staff there! Sanjay is a very good guy! He is always greeting me and my family, calls us by names and is very helpful!

He also can help to recommend products you might like based on previous purchases. Its like having your own personal concierge service within the confines of a convenience store. 10/10. This is an exceptional store, both in terms of its product offerings as well as the service. Sanjay is very friendly: whether you are looking for a cold soda, some ice cream, or frozen foods for a late night snack, he always provides helpful suggestions about the different products. This is helpful because the store carries a wide range of selections. A lot of thought has also gone into arranging the store: there is even toilet paper, milk, and miscellaneous household items to be purchased in cases of an emergency, which is again very useful since Cambridge stores tend to shut down quite early. All in all, I would highly recommend this store.

Surrey Street Market is a happy resurrection of an earlier beer/wine store in the Riverside section of Cambridge. Yes, an excellent selection of beer and wine are very much available but I and many other local residents value the Market as our neighborhood grocery store. While limited in selection, all basic food and house care items are available, and what makes it so special is the very friendly and capable manager Sanjay who makes a point of asking if we found what we needed, and if we did not, doing his best to add that item to his inventory. In short, it is always a pleasure to shop at the Market.

Sanjay is awesome! Keeps a great selection of alcohol and snacks. There are a good amount of ciders as well. Probably go here 3 times per week and would highly recommend as it’s an A+ store.

A great little local convenient store that has all the essentials. A great selection of malt beverages and anything you need from snacks to cooking to drinks they have it and the prices are reasonable compared to other convenient stores in the neighborhood and the store is always very clean and very neat such a beautiful addition to my neighborhood as I have been living here for 43 years. Sanjay the young man that works there is very respectful,knowledgeable, and polite with good customer service. I always feel welcomed and highly recommend this convenient store over any others in the neighborhood.i knew the previous owners and he was horrible and was there I think since I was born thank God he sold the place

I used to live in this neighborhood and honestly miss this place. Sanjay is friendly, has an impressive memory for faces, and simply the best. The drink selection is great, including a lot of local options. It was my go to stop to pick up drinks to share with friends, or seltzer and a pint of ice cream to share with ...myself. I definitely scooted in right before closing a couple times to get some Ben and Jerrys for thesis writing fuel. (Thanks for your patience, Sanjay!) Surrey street Market was also renovated maybe about a year ago, so it feels nice and clean and bright inside!.

This place used to be called Louies, and now it should be called Sanjays--after the great guy who is always there and always so helpful. Theres already a wide selection of cold beer and wine (plus other essentials), but anytime I ask about something new, Sanjay makes a special order and often ends up stocking it. Surrey St. market is fabulous! We live a minute away and go multiple times a week for a snack, beverage, or random ingredient. They have an amazing selection and are always open to feedback or requests about what else should be available, including specific items. Sanjay’s warm welcome and extensive knowledge of the products is truly a joy. We always take guests here and proudly say it’s our corner market :)

Surrey Street Market is the best around. This is a bold statement because there are many different markets all in walking distance of Surrey Street; however, Surrey Street has the best customer service and collection of craft beers and wines out of any store in the area, at a fair price. The owner is great, and in particular, Sanjay is always very helpful when choosing a new kind of craft beer to try. New beers and wines are always being introduced to their inventory all the time so theres always something new to try. Ask Sanjay what he recommends!

New ownership has completely turned this place around. When I first moved into the area I was disappointed with how run down the shop was and I avoided shopping there. However, it is now my first place I look to shop when I need something quick or I want to get something to drink from their great beverage selection. Definitely recommend to everyone in the area!
