I would not recommend this salon. I had a cut by Teo, the owner, and she acted in an unprofessional manner. During the cut she said Im so fxcking hungry Im dizzy which did not instill confidence that she would be able to provide a good hair cut nor did I appreciate her using curse words. She also spoke disparagingly of her concierge who wasnt performing her scheduling tasks up to par. There is not an atmosphere of joy and positivity here. I dont think I saw the two other employees smile once during my entire visit. I thought it was suspicious that there were so many open appointments when all other salons have about a two month wait. I will not return.

I just moved back to the Boston area and was desperate to find a curly hair stylist, when I came across this salon. I had a super easy time booking online and was even able to reschedule my appointment very easily when I needed to. My appointment with the owner Teo was amazing, and I’m never going to go anywhere else again! She listened to all my requests, and we had a wonderful time chatting while she did her work. This is seriously one of the best cuts I’ve had in a while. The cut was worth every cent!I also truly appreciate her commitment to keeping us and her staff all safe during COVID with mask wearing, disinfecting surfaces/chairs, no walk ins and keeping a limited number of customers in at a time.I also just have to add that I saw there are people who think she’s “unpleasant” and I just cannot even believe that, she was so kind and talked me through the whole process and answered any of my questions! I already love her and her attitude and kindness is part of why I want to come back! I have a hunch people who think she is “rude” just may have not been respectful towards her or her business.Can’t wait to come back! ☺️

I tried to make a reservation here as a first time customer. As per the policy, I called and then emailed 48 hours in advance to reschedule when I found out the appointment conflict with my class schedule. I received no response. When I tried to call again the day before I was told that I would have to pay full price for my reschedule attempt. When I disputed this, the employee said she would speak to the owner and then call me back. She never called me back and instead charged me a full service. I then went physically to the place to inquire what is going on, only to be greeted by the owner who was extremely hostile. I was genuinely surprised, and even more so when she started yelling at me in the middle of the street and even used profanity. She claimed she never saw my email and would not wait for me to show her my attempt at rescheduling. I could not believe this is how a small business treats a would-be first time customer. I can’t speak for the quality of cuts here, but the owner is extremely rude and the staff just … awful. I guess the fact that this place has so many same-day and same-week availabilities really tells you something. Take your curls elsewhere, ladies!

I havent been to a salon in years afraid of thrusting the stylist with my hair. Today is almost 10 years I walked away absolutely IN LOVE with my curls!! Teo was super funny and I could tell by the way she was handling my hair that I was in good hands. 100% recommend this place

Ive been getting my hair cut here for about a year and a half now, and have had multiple great haircuts by both Kale and Teo. This is the only salon I have ever been to where I feel confident that I will always walk out with great results. Because of this, I am all the more disappointed that I am going to need to find a new salon. - Unfortunately, it has happened twice now that my appointment was reassigned from the stylist I booked with to Teo right before it started, and both times I was charged her higher rate, even though it wasnt what I booked at. The first time I honestly thought it was an error and was too flustered by it to say anything when I received the bill. I really didnt expect it to happen again but now that its clear this is a standard practice, I am going to have to find another place to have my hair cut. I hope the salon can sort this out because they provide a really great service for those of us with curly hair.

I found this salon on Instagram after looking for a salon that specializes in curly cuts. I wish I looked at the other Google reviews prior to my appointment before wasting my time and hard earned money. I am Miss Massachusetts for America beauty pageant. I love love the way Teo transforms me with a deva hair cut and pintura highlights as you can see on the first pictures it lasted a year looking fabulous. She took the time and thought me how to take care of my hair, nurture it and find the right products. She enchanted my curls and gave them so much life. Each time she gave me a hair cut she took her time first and offered me a free consultation to answer all my questions, she educated me on how to keep my curly hair healthy. Being there i was able to create Tik Tok and share my experience on my instagram and facebook page. As soon as you walk in the salon is so beautiful inside, her time management is on point, you start the time you are schedule and you are done on time. She is very focus on customers safety, masks, hand sanitizer is required as you enter the salon. Every time i go there i leave feeling like a brand new person. She makes me look prettier more confident and empowered with my looks. Every time i have a beauty pageant I feel fearless strong after she finishes my hair it motivates me to keep rocking my beautiful hair. I am definitely going back and i do recommend her to all curly hair people. She rocks and she is the best.

I went to this salon for the first time a few months ago and received a fantastic haircut. I planned to get my hair cut there again today, however, I had to reschedule my appointment after learning of a confirmed covid exposure. Despite this confirmed covid exposure, the salon still charged me $170 (!) for requesting to reschedule on short notice. Given the current circumstances with Covid cases once again on the rise, I think penalizing customers for exercising an abundance of caution is completely out of line. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

She made me travel to the store, letting me know that my appointment was at 2:00 PM as the website was not allowing me to book. When I reached at 2:00 PM, she said the appointment was at 01:40 PM. So unprofessional, wasted my time and tried to preach me to come on time. 0 stars for the inconvenience that you caused and did not even apologize for it!

If you want to be respected don’t go here. I did a lot of research and was excited to schedule an appointment for a double process color and hair cut through the website. They confirmed the appointment however changed the appointment time twice. They then requested photos of myself and inspo. I have dark hair and want to go lighter. I am not a stylist so I chose double process thinking it is two colors to achieve a lighter color. I then received a text telling me I could not achieve my goal with double process and the appointment would be changed to pintura. I replied that I’d be fine with sticking with the double process. Less than 30 mins later I received a call while in the shower and a voicemail from the salon owner saying she needed to talk to me which wasn’t a problem but then I noticed I also had a text stating my appointment was CANCELLED 10 mins after the voicemail was sent.I called and the owner who explained the double process to me and I understood I had the wrong impression and let the owner know that the pictures I sent which where copper and blonde was just inspo photos and I know it may take multiple appointments to achieve my desired results. I explained I just wanted an all over color with highlights in the around my face. I’m not super into hair and don’t need a fancy multidimensional color.She however was persist that it was a curly hair salon and she knows hair so I need a pintura even accusing me of not knowing what it really is. She also went on to insinuate, I, an adult with curly hair have never been to a curly hair salon. I let her know that I went to another curly salon in the South End to which she responded “that was no where near her salon” as if the location was below her. I went on to tell her I had a pintura done there and did not like the results since I do straighten my hair also I don’t need a reason to not want a service a stylist is trying to force on me.We settled on the cut, all over color and some face framing highlights which she priced at $550 which still wasn’t a problem. I was happy with color, highlights and NO PINTURA. Things went left however when she felt the need to tell me I did not like the pintura at the other salon because “they don’t know what they’re doing” and “don’t compare my salon to that one”. I responded that I wasn’t comparing just giving her info that A) I’ve been to curly hair salons B) I know what pintura is and C) I’ve had pintura before and she should respect my preference.From there she got argumentative, talking over me and I hung up the phone. I can take my business elsewhere where I’m treated with respect from booking to service delivery, I haven’t even stepped foot in here and I feel they are unprofessional, judgemental and snobby.Go somewhere else with a stylist who will listen and not tell you what you need. Advice is welcome, dictatorship is not.

Teo is a professional hairstylist. I have been to her salon several times. Today she cut my son’s her in 15 minutes: great job for $92+. She did not wash/dry his hair or used any product..$92+ dollars is insane. The haircut was called diva curl: not so sure what really means. As I said none of diva curl products were used, and he is 11 yrs old. This is my last time coming here. I asked twice to review the price, but Teo replied through her assistant that this was the price. Never again. I do not recommend this place except if you have a lot of money to spend for a good service.

While I was recommended to get a haircut at this salon for my curly hair, I did not get a haircut here after all. This is because of some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and which has been pointed out by some other reviewers. My appointment was moved and cancelled a couple of times without any warning, the salon owner berated me over the phone for her own website reservation system problems. Finally, when I wanted to cancel in person because I was not able to reach the salon by phone, the salon owner made it clear that she already had too many clients to care about customer service. Unreal. Maybe you’ll be lucky and have a good experience here but I certainly did not.Edit: I have curly hair.

Ive been getting my hair done by the owner of this salon since 2012 and would never go anywhere else. She is a miracle worker! I used to be worried when going into salons unsure if they knew what to do, but here as they work with all types of curly hair, they know how to properly cut it and the correct products to help maintain it. I usually book my appointments with Teo, the Salon’s owner who is not only very knowledgeable but wonderful to talk to!

Teo, the woman who runs Le Petite Salon, is the only person in the greater Boston area I trust with my hair — she is an absolute MAGICIAN. I never knew how good I could look before I started visiting her place three years ago. I just went for a cut today, and she has the best COVID-19 safety measures in place of any other establishment I’ve been in. You’re asked to wear a mask the whole time, there’s a temp check at the door, and you’re asked to wipe down your hands and phone with sanitizer when you walk in. Every seat is wiped down immediately after use, and I was never within less than six feet of another patron. Every employee wears masks and gloves the entire time. Even better, Teo is an incredible person, always makes me laugh, and teaches me something new about how to take care of my hair every time I go. I can not recommend her salon highly enough!

I’ve been going to Le Petit Salon for 8 years now, ever since I moved to Boston. Teo and her team are total professionals and the new salon is beautiful. The stylists listen to their customers requests and have tasteful ideas. I know I’ll always walk out of Le Petit with a great haircut. Worth every penny and more.

Expensive but worth it

Very disappointed with service. Got a call the day of my haircut saying that my stylist is no longer available, and that only the salon owner can see me. Would not be a problem, except I was then told her price is $135+ for medium length hair. Big difference from the price of $95 I agreed to when booking my cut. There was no offer to honor the price of the service I booked and no other stylists available for the next few days, so I cancelled and now will scramble to find another salon.

****DONT GO****The owner Tea is INCREDIBLY RUDE, so unprofessional and doesn’t know customer service at all. They never clarify the price, they’ll say 70 and charge 120 and never give you a refund. Also ruined my hair.

I came in for hair and makeup for a photo shoot and Teo and Asiya did a wonderful job. they paid so much attention to detail, making sure it looked the way I wanted it. I didn’t realize they also do manicures, they were able to do my nails as well and I felt so pampered and relaxed when I left. The salon is gorgeous and all the employees are super accommodating and friendly. They also do an amazing job with color - I had my hair colored there at least a year ago and it still looks great. highly recommend visiting Le Petit Salon Curl Concept!

I had a Devacut with Asiya 2 days ago. The cut is fantastic. She listened to my ideas and I got the length and volume I was looking for! This was also the first time Ive left a salon with my hair styled curly and not immediately had to run home to restyle it. Next time Ill know to plan something fun to do after with my hair looking so great! The salon was beautiful and the rest of the staff was very friendly too!

I got my haircut from the junior stylist, who did a great job. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. Very multi-lingual place. A bit pricey if youre used to a standard mens cut at most barbershops or other places, but youll get good treatment and a nice cut! Worth it sometimes.

I have wavy hair and wanted better defined curls and my new cut (Ouidad technique) is just phenomenal.And the best I dont need to spend hours styling my hair - it just falls the right way.Perhaps not the cheapest place but it was absolutely worth it

The salon is very clean and beautiful but the owner Teo is very rude and disrespectful. I saw the others reviews warning clients about her but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but all the reviewers were right about her! She was making small talk and asked if I had any kids and when I said 2 she asked about my age and when I said 27 she told me to stop having kids because I’m too young and 2 kids it’s to much like de you kidding me ? You go to a salon to get your hair done and relax not to be judged. I’ll never be going back or recommend this place.

My haircut here was AWESOME. But the traumatic makeup session leads me to warn others not to make appointments for that particular service. She didnt seem to know her way around the products, and she got makeup in my eye, to the point of it burning. And then she said it was *normal* for that to happen. I dont think so. No offer to discount or not charge for the service. I went there to feel pampered and relaxed, and left feeling stressed and uncomfortable. (But again, the haircut really was great).

I would give it 0 star if I can. The service was way below my expectation, pricey and unfriendly (for people who dont speak spanish). Im a girl and all I had was to get my hair cut shorter and this should be the simplest thing to do for any salon. To begin with, the junior hairstylist was very upset with my hair for some reason. She didnt care about my comfort and treat me like a display practice. The way she combs my hair makes it really painful and she explained it as she has no choice. I was like what do you mean? Its painful. After she was done with my hair, it was extremly disappointing given her unskillful practice, my hair was not even the same length as what she claimed to be. I gave up asking her to do more work becuase I know her clumsy cut wont make it any better. This was my first time visit, and also the last time. Take my money once and wont take it twice.

Tried to reach them after they rescheduled my appointment through automatic emails. First call didn’t get through to anyone. Sent an email (that apparently doesn’t count). When I finally got in touch the day of the appointment was told it was my fault for not leaving a voicemail and was met with a rude and condescending attitude. I understand cancelation policies and tried my best to be polite. But when you blame your customers for not responding to your automated system correctly it really leaves people feeling frustrated and uncared for. Taking my business elsewhere, not because of the cancellation policy but because the total lack of understanding and customer service and the fact that they just change your appointment without even bothering to call.

I have been going to Teo and Kale since late last year when I moved out to the GBA. Teo specializes in curly hair coloring and cuts, of course. Over the year I went from a full bright red to bronde highlights to this seasons favorite copper! All with Teos guidance and expertise.They offer foilayage, all over color, devacut, wet cuts, and other curly services styles I cant name!My go to is a dry curly cut, gloss and style. Normally my high density, thick hair takes HOURS to dry, even under a hood dryer. Teo uses various products to aid in quicker dry time and a beautiful curly set for at least three days! I normally go five-seven days with their setting. Even through all my coloring processes (bleaching to go from red to blonde....), my hair is in better condition than when I started going one year ago!Ive seen clients with ALL types of curls in their salon and everyone leaves beautiful and ready to face the unpredictable New England weather.See pics for reference.
