One of my major pet peeves is customer service. I work hard for my money and when I go to a store I dont want to feel like Im a bother especially when Im paying towards your pay. The person that helped surely didnt want to be there because he offered minimum to no service and while he was ringing me out he was trying to ring others out as well!! Tacky to say the least. They wont have to ever worry about me purchasing anything from that store. It seems to me there is no sense of urgency to help the customer. The 1 star was because they did have the part.

Car wouldnt start and was told I needed a battery. On my lunch I went to closest auto store which was AutoZone. I walked in the store around mid day on a Tuesday. Store was busy but not crowded. Three women were busy servicing customers in various roles from checking out, product selection, to installations. I was VERY nervous and skeptical about the possibility that one of them might have to install the battery. There was at least one male worker in store and I was certain that hed be called to install battery. He was not! Erika went out removed old battery and I installed new one. I was in and out of store in less than a hour. The staff was very pleasant, professional, and helpful. The young woman who installed my battery was Erika. She was awesome! Great customer service skills, quick, and efficient; Thank you Erika!! Good to see women doing jobs that have been traditionally done by men. Kudoes to Calumet City AutoZone for hiring women to fill untraditional roles!!

Every time I go here, the staff is knowledgeable and takes the time to answer questions and to assist with what is needed. Love it.

The store is Good. Seems 2 b a lot of altercations in the parking lot, which is surprising, because Calumet City Police Station is a block away.

Customer service is very important to me and AutoZone doesnt disappoint. I was helped by Erica and she was wonderful and very knowledgeable in every aspect. I really appreciate when I ask a question, I get my answer right away and not have to wait for someone to go find out the answer. Walking through the door, I was warmly greeted and I really appreciate Ms. Ericas help. This Calumet City location on Torrence Avenue will be my go to Auto Zone from now on. I will also refer my friends to this location. Great job Auto Zone!

Great customer service. In a once male dominated industry I like that they employ a good number of women. Everyone is very helpful and attentive to the customer.

There is a young lady in there that is VERY RUDE, IGNORANT, and has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS whatsoever. The fact that she even works there is baffling. Never in my entire life have I called a business and was hung up on in the middle of asking a question. Then upon calling back, the same person who hung up on me did nothing to try to make the situation better. It’s really sad.

Went their yesterday and had a surprisingly bad experience. I wanted my battery check and the young lady who was checking it, didnt know what she was doing. She didnt know how to use the equipment. She left and got her co-worker who stayed on the phone and teased her for not knowing. He didnt even try to assist. Then another co-worker came out and he didnt know nothing either. When they finally figured it out, I asked her what was the reading. Its says its a bad battery she said and walked. I asked again what was the reading, a bad battery she over her shoulder. Went back in the store to check on the cost of the battery. I didnt know my engine size when the young man asked. He stated he could tell what kind of battery I needed by my Vin number. He didnt know how to get the hood up. When he did and then looked at the vin number. He said ok I know the size battery you need.. We went in the store and he said we cant install a battery because your battery has that bar across it. Youll have to take it to a shop WHAT THE HELL!!!!!! Then he proceeded to want to sell me a battery anyway so I can take it somewhere to have it installed. Very poor business, unprofessional, zero for customer service. The workers need a lot of training/schooling, LOTS OF IT. The store manager should be fired for hiring incompetent people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER, EVER WILL GO BACK!!!!!!!!

I went to autozone on March 29 2020 they are sooooooooo RUDE!! They had a sign saying it was going to close at 6:30pm and I was outside at 6:10pm I got out of the car and they shut all the lights. I knocked on the window and they looked up and ignored me. They should of took the sign off if they weren’t gonna be able to receive people inside.

I called the store about a part. They said they had it. I went to the store. After waiting 45 mins for them to locate the part an employee finally said he sold it.

The experience I had with calling is SOME of employees NEVER want to look up items MAJORITY of the time. THEY (NOT ALL OF THEM) would put you on hold NEVER to return or TELL you THEY are very busy with OTHER CUSTOMERS and when THEY are NOT. Drove to store a dozen times to find no customers right after calling before I arrived.

Yesterday I went to the autozone off Torrence in Calumet City,IL because I needed a new battery for my car. Thomas at autozone looked at my car and wasnt confident that he could install a new battery properly. I dont know what was so complicated about putting a battery in a 2001 Toyota echo but okay. He said he had trouble all day installing batteries. At that point I realized it was him and not the car, apparently he was incompetent in installing batteries and I took my car to Oreilys off sibley in Calumet city. I purchased the battery and a WOMAN who worked there installed it in less than 5 mins ... manicure and all! Autozone missed out on $150 today due to an incompetent worker/ manager. Ive always purchased/ had my batteries installed at autozone in the past, I guess today is a new day! OReillys is where it is when it comes to battery installs
