I will never go to this Advanced auto parts and they may have just ruined it for the franchise as a whole. When i came to get rear brake pads for my wife’s car, they gave me the wrong pads after taking forever to check me out. Then I come back the next day to return the pads because I had already bought the correct one’s from Autozone. So I go in with the pads and receipt and was told i couldn’t get a refund because the pads had oil on them from the mechanic trying to put them on. The best I could hope for was an in store credit or to exchange the wrong pads for the right one’s which made no since to me. As luck would have it, by me having my receipt, their system wouldn’t even allow them to give me an in store credit, so they had to give me a refund. To make matters worse, they try to enforce a mask policy and they don’t even wear their masks properly over their noses. Managers are rude and unprofessional and employees are ill equipped to perform their jobs. Close it now!

There prices are higher than AutoZone, but this one not so bad

Very Short Visit

I had to buy a car filter and theyre able to look up what you need with the year and make of your car which is nice because I never remember pertinent car facts.

Terrible & dishonorable experience. Visited Advance on yday to return brand new unopened parts not needed with my receipt.First, I was told they would credit the $314 back to my debit card. Second, I was told that because my purchase was past 45 days I would only receive a store credit. This policy is not stated on my receipt, nor is it displayed anywhere in the Calumet City store where I made my purchase in April. I asked both employees present (Fletch & Tyree) to show me this policy. Nothing!I want my money returned to me.

Poorest service everI prepaid for my part in Dolton was told to pickup at the calumet city advanced auto parts locationUpon arrival I’m told the Dolton driver picked up my part and was taking it to Dolton the female customer service agent was not concerned time steady tickingGuess what the part I was given wasn’t correct that meant I had to drive back to the store answer all the same questions over finally I was given the correct part. No one apologized for the inconvenience . Did I mention the driver from Dolton just handed me the part didn’t say I’m sorry didn’t look at my face no one cared. Besides that one no told him to take the part he just took it upon his self to take the part. I purchased a set of Autolite spark plugs on line . Drove to the store after work to pick up items.Employee angerly cursed at me because I had one question about my order. Very unprofessional !When I asked to speak with the manager, employee stated he was the manager. He then refused to give me the spark plugs which I had already paid for even though he verified who I was with my drivers license I provided. He then made a comment about “ What was I going to do about it” .I left store and file a complaint with advance auto corporate office over the phone. There is no reason any one should be disrespected, specially when you are a customer.With out customers there is no need for Advance auto parts !Hopefully corporate will deal with employee in question .Employee may be happier working somewhere else !

Stay away from this place. Asked for a recommendation for a mechanic to install a motor. The counter guy steered me to a mechanic he worked nights for and proceeded to sandbag the job for himself...Out $3,600 the motor went 6 miles and locked up cause of no oil and broke my clock spring disabling my horn and airbag... Thanks For Nothing!!!!

Very unprofessional wanted me to jump through hoops just to get a warranty on my brake pads called corporate found out they were lieing about the reason they couldnt warranty them got my pads and management got reemed a new one. Lol

Advance Auto Parts has the option to buy items online in your order will be ready in 30 minutes for pickup this is my second time in one week that I placed an order online the first one was not ready and I went there 3 hours later and it was only one item. This time I placed the order and went there about 3 hours later again and the order was still not ready I had eight items when I purchase them online the computer said that they and everything in stock when I went to pick up my items they only had six out of the eight items very disappointed. You think their inventory would be correct also they just redid the whole inside of the store less than 2 weeks ago. When the gentleman at the register asked me if he could help me I told him I was here to pick up my order that I placed online and I asked him is it ready and he says no its not I said its supposed to be ready within 30 minutes in his remark was well if were busy theres nothing we can do about it to be honest with you they have an AutoZone 3 blocks away and OReillys literally across the street you can throw a rock at it AutoZone always has at least 8 cars are more in the parking lot at all times OReillys has about 2 at all times Advanced has about zero at all times when I drove by Advance Auto before it picked up my order about 2 hours prior there was nobody in the store when I went to pick up my order there were still nobody in the store I dont think theyre doing their job correctly sorry if I dragged on so long.
