We were towing an RV and our transmission overheated and needed to be towed to GM in Butte. Where it was finally warranted. It took most of 4 weeks to get a new transmission which left our RV parked in their lot. They gave us a loaner (new car) which allowed us to get back home. However, the temperatures in Butte when down to 14 and the RV needed to be winterized. In the end Josh, their service manager, allowed us to use his truck to tow the RV back home. That really impressed me that he would give us his personal truck. He then brought back the loaner and retrieved his truck. This group is personable, friendly and did all thy could to meet our needs. If we were closer they would be our exclusive dealer.

Awesome service! I took my Tahoe in to have work done under warranty. Josh and Brian went above and beyond. Josh worked hard to get me a loaner vehicle and Brian worked just as hard to keep me updated, overnight parts and willing to stay late to get me back on the road asap!

I was driving my Silverado from Washington to Wyoming and as I got close to Butte, my pickup started to lose power. I called the service department at GM of Butte to see if they could help me. They said they could get it in right away. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, fortunately it was simply a plugged air filter (that my dealership in WA had failed to change during my last oil change), they replaced it, and I was able to continue on my trip. I really appreciated the willingness and promptness of all the staff at GM of Butte who solved my problem. Thank you!

We had our van towed to the GM service center in Butte after being stranded in Whitehall with 4 young kids, a dog, a cat, and a trailer due to overheating caused by a coolant leak. Brent was extremely helpful and was able to get us seen first thing in the morning, fixed it up, and got us back on the road by noon. Thanks to the quick, quality service, our van towed our heavy Uhaul trailer over the course of the next few days without any issues and we made it to North Carolina safely!I want to express my appreciation to the staff, especially Brent, for being able to see us so quickly and accurately diagnosing and fixing the problem. We only lost 1 day due to that breakdown.

My truck had an injecter fail and I wouldnt make it home from Butte. They told me to come in right away. They quickly diagnosed the problem and started repair. I was on the road to Dillon in 3 hours! Now thats service!

Couldn’t have asked for better service.On a trip 600 miles from home and brake vacuum pump fails on pickup while pulling into butte hotel parking lot at 12 am. I called the dealer right at 7:30 the next morning and they told me to drop it off ASAP and they’ll see what they could do. They had my part i needed on hand and had it installed and had me out the door and on the road in under 3 hours. Brent in the service depo really pulled some strings to help a traveler out and i am very thankful for their service and help. Great dealership to work with!!!

I was driving from Los Angeles Ca to Kalispell Mt. I broke down 50 miles outside of Butte Montana in a rental. the rental company told me to take it to the nearest dealer and gm of butte was where I landed. I was given such a hard time from the rental company but these guys went above and beyond trying to help me out. Helped me get a hotel room and even got me a discount. made room on the schedule first thing in the morning to fix the car and even delt with the rental company for me. I cant say enough good things about this place. Because of them I made it to my daughters wedding on time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.The crazy crying mother who thought she would miss her daughters wedding 🤗

Took my silverado in for the passenger side airbag. Do not set your appointment up online as they either have cheaped out and are not connected to it or have no clue how it works. I showed up for my 8am appiintment and they had no clue I was coming. Typical local Butte type thing where they are a few decades behind in the technology department.

Sorry, have had 3 negative experiences with service here. Paid for a service to improve pperformance and fuel economy.no difference afterward. Came in for some work with a factory cupon and had to fight with the Mgr to honor it as I picked the truck up the next day, even though I had called the night before telling them I had it and their service rep said no problem. Also recently had a air bag recall (was done fine) but they came up with a 3k repair recomendation,took to another servicer and two of the issues they found were non existent? The remaining two problems were done at half what they quoted. Be wary.

Car buying went smoothly. Pleased with the used vehicle we bought. Sales people were understanding when we asked for more time with the car. They promised to deliver it to us in Helena to complete the purchase which was a great service. The only negative is that the vehicle was promised to be detailed and it wasn’t cleaned, much less detailed, which was upsetting since it was part of our negotiation when paying full asking price.

Very helpful and courteous!!! Me and my son were traveling from Salt Lake City to Schweitzer Idaho for a ski race. Half way through our 11 hour drive our 2008 Chevy Traverse came up with a warning saying to service stabilitrac. We were just out of Butte and made it to the dealership. The lady at the service counter was extremely nice and got our vehicle in ASAP for diagnosis. They found a loose wire connection and got us back on the road within a few hours.

My 2014 Ram was leaking oil. I thought I had an oil cooler leak. Turns out my oil filer was loose. They could have told me I was correct and changed me for a more expensive repair. They did not. Service writer was very nice and my truck was repaired and ready on time. They also took care of the open recalls on my truck and wiped down the interior. Will definitely come back.

I went in to here to get my ac fixed. They quoted me about 800. I agreed. They called me later wanting another 800. I told them just to fix what i origionally wanted fixed. The next day my ac was dead. I refilled it myself and heard a leak. I took it back to them and asked them to fix it. They told me to go to auto zone and get some new port plugs myself and change them myself. Which i did. After refilling the ac again i saw a massive leak in fhe condensor. Which they denied. after getting back to billings i had to pay another shop 500 bucks to finish reparing the screw up that the butte dealer made. I have never been to a shop that told me to fix my own problem before or wouldnt fix fhe problem they created as it wadnt leaking when i got there. I would higjly recommend using somekne else. It was a total waste of money.

I would never go back. This was my second oil change on my new car at BUTTE GM AUTO and again they did a great job. Appointment was on time, service completed timely and they identified a oil leak which will be repaired under warranty. Its great having your GM car serviced by a dealer where they keep all the records and they know your car. I bought my car at BUTTE GM AUTO and the sales experience was great, and now Im enjoying the same great experience in their service department!

Very very Rude staffThey did not have what I wanted, so they ordered it for me online. When they got it, the price was much lower than what they had told me, so they charged me almost four times for the labor and I ended up paying the same price. Also, what they did for me should have taken 15 to 20 mins (they told me that themselves on the phone) but when I went there it took them 2.5 hours. I complained to the GM but they did not do anything neither. Just told me they have talked to the dealer and they said it is how long it actually takes. Will not go back there again.

Everything was going great and they even drove the vehicle up to Whitefish for us. The reason they are getting a 2* is because they drove it up to Whitefish. We were told the vehicle was going to be detailed and there was nothing to be fixed. After the initial inspection there was a seat belt broken, the inside plastic step broken and the car was not clean (there were sunflower seed shells on the floor). They did pay for the seat belt to be replaced quickly, which is appreciated. When we mentioned the vehicle being dirty and the broken step, they said they would get back to us but never did. We agreed to pay for the plastic step cover, even though that still should have been fixed before ever being sold. Its been about 2 months and several messages, we still havent heard back from the salesman or manager. This is completely unacceptable and it should not be this difficult to get resolved or call back the client. Based on our experience, it appears they are more interested in getting the sale instead of taking care of their customers.

I have taken my car in several times and i get screwed every time, they lie and break stuff, the shop foreman ray said the tire pressure system is making me abs light and my traction control light come on, so they had to fix them all. when i had a real honest mechanic look at it the laughed, and got it all fixed for 45.00 dollars. i call the dealership back and they told me they did not see any lights on at all. they need to learn how to take care of customers. (do not go there)

My other review is from Dedalliance.Ive never cared enough to write a review but here I am because of their terrible service. Where do we start? I should start off by saying Ive never not owned a GM vehicle and my Grandpa retired from GM after 22 years so this hurts a little to leave a review like this because I respect GM and enjoy their vehicles. This is by far the worst shop Ive ever been to and Ive lived in 7 different states across the US. So first time they made me mad was when my starter was going out. A guy working in the service department I believe was a manager told me to just Drive it until it breaks (Because its a great thing not being able to start your only vehicle when youre in the middle of no where) So I told them no youre gonna fix it. They put on a new starter which was a non GM part because it was cheaper. That starter failed within 2 weeks due to some water in it or something (Probably because it was poorly installed) so they upgraded me to a GM starter for free (Which is the only good thing theyve ever done). and then issues with my transmission they werent very helpful. But just recently my computer is having problems in my truck so I took it in to schedule them to look at it, first off they only do oil changes on Saturday which makes it impossible for anyone that works to get stuff done. But anyway, I was trying to schedule a time to come in and the person working told me to just come back when it starts acting up again. So Ill come back when the computer just fries itself and I lose all power to the truck (Just kidding, Im never coming back). Ive had enough with this dealership and when I buy a new truck to replace this one (For the reasons listed above, lol) I will not even consider them an option Ill drive some where else and spend my money. So congrats on losing a life time of service and sales because the only thing Ill ever buy is a GM. Just because youre the only dealership in an 80 mile radius does not mean you can treat people however you feel like that day. When I walk into a business I expect them to listen to what I tell them and fix my problems and then I pay them, I have no problem with that Im honestly at a loss to why Im always told to come back when something breaks? No, its called preventive service and I do not appreciate being told to just wait until something breaks, this is my only vehicle I can not afford for it to not start up every morning. I took it to the dodge / Jeep dealer in town and they set me up with an appointment in 5 minutes simple as that, they didnt tell me to just let it break some more. Ill never go back to this dealership. Its a shame they put a bad name to a good brand that supported my Grandpa and our family for 22 years and Ill be sure to tell everyone to never come here. Im still at a loss, all I wanted you to do is take my money and tell me whats wrong with my truck? Im not waiting until it breaks and Im stranded in the middle of no where. My family is a GM family, you are not GM, you are not worth the GM name and never will be. Im disgusted by this and its honestly sickening. Im sad I even have to give a 1 star review, but it doesnt go to negative where it belongs.

Will never go back. Had my truck there over the summer for basic work. Nothing was wrong with the job done other than it was more pricey then anticipated and they didnt change my power steering fluid, which I was charged for. But the main thing thing that ticked me off was that my ashtray along with $10-$15 in coins was gone along with my auxiliary cord. Called back up to complain, was told multiple times that a manager would call me, still to this day 3 months later never got a phone call. Lost my business as I have always gone to GM dealers for service, not anymore unless its warranty work. Id highly recommend Car Tune as I have been to them twice since Butte GM with nothing but great things to say about Kevin and his team.

My other review was posted under Stephen Reavill, for any references I make here.So, after some all of the previous stuff I mentioned in the other review happened I came back to the dealership because my truck was breaking, it had developed an exhaust manifold leak, miss fires, burning through gas to the point I got 4 MPG, spewing out white smoke all because the GM dealership told me to Drive it until it brakes well thanks for that advice because it basically totaled my truck.So, now that I needed a new truck and my only vehicle was not really trust worthy to drive anywhere else safely, I took it back to this dealership to see what kind of trade in I could get on it, and I figured Id give the sales department a chance to prove their worth. So, I get there I talk to this sales guy and he asks if they can take my truck into the shop to investigate it to give a trade in value. I told him no because I dont like the shop and I already tried taking it in but they wouldnt do it as I explain in my other review. So he goes and gets his boss, who presents himself to me as the owner of this Dealership, So I tell him the same thing I wouldnt let their shop look at it because I refuse to allow them to touch it. So he says okay and we go out to do a quick scan over my truck so he could give me a value. After looking at it he says his value on it would be $5,000 which was more than generous. So I asked him, if that just a trade in price or can I just sell it to you for that price (Because I wasnt sure where I would be buying the replacement vehicle at the time) and he said it can be either for trade in or a cash offer, and I ask the same question multiple times just to make sure I was clear on it. And the sales guy even said When we make an offer we dont go back on it and I told the sales guy and the owner of the dealership that I still needed the truck because it was my only vehicle and I was in the middle of moving my stuff into a storage unit because my lease was ending soon. So they said thats fine and to just come back when Im ready to sell it and or buy something. And while there, I also asked to see what new trucks they had available and pricing to get all of that information to compare it other places. Well, they tried running my credit score and all of that to get me financed before they would really even take me serious about buying anything, which was confusing because how am I supposed to know what I need to qualify if I cant even look at the trucks and get a solid out the door price first? So long story short, they couldnt get me approved for anything so they wouldnt talk to me anymore basically. So I thought okay Ill go figure out my own financing and look at other dealers. A week later I come back in because I had forgot to mention I had an aftermarket remote starter in my truck and was wondering if it would add any value or if I can just remove it so I can install it in my new truck (which I still hadnt gotten yet). And the sales guy went back to talk to the owner guy and came back and said the 5k dollar offer was not a cash offer and they wouldnt add any value to it for my remote starter lol. So, basically they lied to me by saying they never go back on their offers and the offer was from the owner of the Dealership! I guess hes not good for his word? Ill be honest, my truck was barely worth 5k in perfect condition and it was not in that at all, but that being said you cant give me an offer and tell me its good forever, and then not stay true to your word.So I call up DaveSmith in Kellogg Idaho and I got a great deal on a new 2018 Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab work truck. And they were very helpful and nice to me. Fast forward to about 4 weeks ago I was in Cali and my new truck got flooded on a drive on beach, totaling it. I called up DaveSmith again and bought another new truck, 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 HD Crew Cab SLE.So, congrats on losing out on 2 brand new truck sales because youre a worthless dealership that has a crappy mechanic shop and a dishonest lying owner. Youre not GM.

Since my car had a lot of miles they would not honor a recall. These repairs had to be done at the dealership and since they had such a bad service department, my next car will not be bought there.
