Very easy to buy a refrigerator and electric stove, including warranties. I needed delivery. Old appliances were already removed. Salesman said he would not charge me a delivery fee, if the appliances would just be dropped off, not attaching the plug for the stove. Wed have to attach the plug ourselves. How hard can it be? When the drivers got here they said for insurance reasons, they CANNOT bring either appliance INSIDE MY HOUSE. Where should they put them? WHAT? They said to call the salesman which I did. Let me assure you that if the salesman would have said to me the day I spent thousands of dollars, We can deliver them for free but have to put them in your garage or on your porch, THE DEAL WOULD HAVE BEEN OFF. Terrible communication. Thankfully, the men did bring them in the house and set them in place. They werent happy about it. The whole delivery situation was B.S. Buyer beware.
Place is really nice to shop for furniture. Pricing is affordable. Staff there are super nice and friendly and knowledgeable.
The furniture looks good but their TV commercial? Not so much. Embarrassingly bad for business.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Talked to salesmen about which washer and dryer they would buy for their own use. Prices are better than the box stores for better appliances. They also deliver and hook up for no additional charge. Highly recommend them.

Very personal and listen to what youre needing but wont try to break your budget. They have great sales with financing that has no interest as long as you pay off within the time frame. I have purchased all my appliances from them.

We bought a new refrigerator in April 2020. We had an issue under the factory warranty and had to use factory services. The soonest we could get appointment was 18 days to come look at fridge due to back log from COVID. Mr McDonald had a refrigerator delivered to our home in case we needed it till repairs were done and if parts needed ordered we could keep till repairs done. The fridge is fixed and working fine. This is an awesome example of GREAT customer service.. A great reason to support our small local businesses. Thank you McDonalds of Butler Pa.

Bought 2 swivel rocker recliner chairs at the Butler store...Have had them now for 3 years and the one base is cracking in multiple placeson one chair. I called and talked to Mike and he said the mechanical parts are only guaranteed for 5 years. But that part I would need is not covered. It is the actual base of the chair.The chair is unstable to use as it is.I need to buy the part myself.Or buy a new chair.
My wife and I visited the store twice, and everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. On the second visit we arrived one hour before closing, only intended to start putting a list together of pieces we were interested in, but it quickly turned into a deep dive into catalogs and websites. Several times I volunteered to stop the process and pick up where we left off the next business day, but Karen Rearick wouldn’t have it. She and my wife were on a roll finding the perfect pieces for each room, and Karen insisted on staying well past closing time to get the order just right. It paid off - we found exactly what we wanted for each room, and walked out relieved that that aspect of our remodeling project was done!

Service is OK but the parts prices are marked up over500% they know they have you by the short hairs when its below freezing...what a unethical ripoff...never again !
I guess you have to come In and be dressed to impress. The girl sitting at the desk said hi to us when we first walked in. We were there at least an hour and not one person came to help us. I guess my money wasnt good enough for them.

This store has a decent selection. But I tend to believe that this place is a museum. That is because their prices are so high that I think that they want to keep their things on display, because they have very little chance of selling anything. The sales staff is helpful, however it would be more helpful if they did set their prices higher than Ethan Allen.

Went there with my wife to look for a new dresser. Looked around a few minutes to get an idea of what we were looking for and the cost and wanted to look around at other options.On the way out salesperson or receptionist asked if needed help. Said we had some ideas and in a condescending way informed us that their wood was solid but it does come with a cost. At no time did I indicate that pricing was an issue or that we couldn’t afford something there.As a person who spent 1500 dollars on a washer dryer set there a couple of years ago I hardly appreciate having someone insinuate that we were too poor to purchase from them. There are numerous ways to sell the quality of your product without insulting customers that want to consider other options.
Terrible customer service! They dont know any information about the products they sell. They also never back up their customers when the manufacture presents an issue. My family ordered furniture nearly a year ago...been a total nightmare! Waited almost a year for the furniture to arrive. Then it fell apart less than 3 months after we bought it. Company never fixed or compensated us for the horrendous furniture they sold us. They replaced some of it, but it also fell apart. Called to complain, and the customer service people were rude when we called them out on their unfortunate situation. Have given up trying. Counting the days till this furniture is payed off so we can go SOMEWHERE ELSE to buy something new. They wasted our money, and theyre just looking for a sale!!!!

The sales staff is very nice when you are purchasing. I could have made my purchases from a big box store but thought I should support our local businesses and I was hoping the customer service would be better. I waited six weeks for an order, and finally called the store for some sort of arrival estimate, only to be told I had to call back when my sales person was in. Oddly, the same day, I received a call from a different person who informed me my order was in. It begs the question, how long was my purchase sitting at the store? Then I had a Warrenty issue. The receptionist was rude, she lied to me, and the service department first insisted there was no problem and then agreed to submit my claim. It has been two months and I never heard back from them.

Their prices cant be beat 99% of the time. Ive bought three major appliances there, a kitchen table & chair set, and in the past several years, two recliners. Pricing has be excellent. My son, home from the Army bought a sofa there and has been very pleased. I referred my business partner for a living room set and they had minor problems with a loveseat. McDonalds was right on it and had a service person go to their house and fixed it. Better still, they worked around my partners schedule!Ive never heard one person say anything except great comments.

Horrible! Sales people like just to make a sale. Happened to me twice, 2 different sales people. Owner is always unavailable and never returns calls. My bad for giving them a 2nd chance. I will say that the delivery guys who brought my new refrigerator were top notch and did a great job installing it. Zero complaints with them. I like to buy from local, small businesses but I will never buy from them again and will always give an honest review of my bad experience with them.
I recently purchased a dishwasher and recliner from RW McDonald & Sons. You cant ask for a friendlier or more knowledgeable sales team. They are extremely competitively priced and have a great selection of quality furniture in their showroom.
I doubt if I will ever purchase anything from them again. I had a dryer delivered. My adult daughter let them in and left to sit in the living room. As she found out after they left, they did not use booties. They took out the old dryer and took it around and into the basement. This requires walking thru the yard. They still didnt put on booties which was evident after they left. She had to wipe up the entry, which had mud and grass, then sweep the carpet and clean up the mud on the carpet! I called to complain and was told that booties have to be requested!! Do they have NO RESPECT for my property and myself as the homeowner??? I should have listened to my daughter that just had her kitchen remodeled. She told me to go to Dons Appliance, I should have taken her advice, but I wanted to buy locally. Big mistake. Well, Im off to buy a new refrigerator today. It will not be here, thats for sure.

Do not buy furniture here. Repeat. Do not buy your furniture here. My sister purchased a home entertainment center there in February, and they said it would arrive within weeks. It’s November and it still hasn’t arrived, and they keep pushing back the date. She asked for her money back and they will not do so unless she pays a restocking fee, which amounts to $700. Long lead times and shortages are standard in this world right now, but to make the customer pay on a product that they don’t even have yet, and to refuse to return it without charging a restocking fee is absurd. To the RW McDonald employee that reads this to then try and justify your poor business practices, we are telling everyone we know to not shop at your store. We can’t control what you do, but what we can control is to continuously tell friends, family, coworkers and anyone who will listen to never shop at your store. Do the right thing by people.
