My child takes trumpet lessons with Dante Fowler and he is magnificent. He is patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about playing the trumpet. He meets you where you are with playing and pushes you to continue growing with your craft. My child has learned a lot with Dante. I highly recommend Dante Fowler for trumpet lessons. Taking lessons with him, you will definitely learn, improve technique, and have fun. **Bonus---he plays the piano also.

This is a great music store. The whole staff is wonderful to work with. If you want to take music lessons for a good price go see Music and Arts. Ive been taking classical guitar lessons for about a year and a half. Alex is my teacher, and shes been great - very patient and encouraging.

Hated to return the rental trombone my son was using, but the last couple years proved not a good way to start a new instrument. They were great and accommodating with the return and we will get a free lesson if my daughter can choose between the guitar and violin! Great place, clean and helpful.

Jonathan Freeman was the most helpful guy Ive met at a music store. He held great conversation and gave details and information about bettering my performance as a musician. An overall upbeat guy and high grade employee. Im glad I stopped in!

Dante Fowler has been a great trumpet teacher for my child. He is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I was most impressed that he tailored his approach to the needs of my child. He was willing to be innovative in his approach to ensure that my child was engaged and understood the musical skills that he was teaching. I highly recommend Dante.

I always go here for my son and his guitar needs. The other day i went the lady up front wanted me to wear a mask, even though it says on the sign that fully vaccinated dont need to. She also wanted my 1 year old to wear one and asked if my 1 year old was vaccinated!!! I just walked out of there. I rather take the drive to greensboro then go back in there again.

My son and I both take lessons here and have had wonderful experiences. My son has been taking drums with Jamin and I have been doing piano and voice with Margaret.I have been impressed by my son’s progress since we have been there and Jamin’s use of resources to help him to read rhythms!I personally can’t say enough good things about Margaret seeing her is one of the best parts of my week. She is a joyful person, an incredibly knowledgeable teacher, and beyond patient and kind. She never makes me feel bad about being a beginner adult and always has something new to help me when I struggle!Don’t be put off by what can seem like a salesperson atmosphere from the front desk staff - I can truly tell you that Kitty LOVES what she does and she does it well. Everyone there knows us and makes us feel welcome and appreciated. Highly recommend!

Jamin Coleman has been a wonderful and supportive drum instructor for our daughter. She is 9 years old, is learning so much every week and loves her teacher.

Music & Arts is my young sons home away from home. Every time he walks in the door, the staff makes him feel like a rock star has entered the building. Hes been taking guitar lessons with Alex (whom he calls the coolest person on the planet) and drum lessons with Jamin. Both instructors are patient and kind. They allow him to be himself and meet him where he is musically so he never feels discouraged or overwhelmed. The end result is that my son looks forward to music lessons and his time at Music & Arts every week. I am so thankful for Alex and Jamin! I cannot recommend them enough.

If your getting a instrument to rent, buy or trade up this is the place to go. However if you think this is going to be an in and out process you would be wrong. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. They listen and work to find the right instrument for you . They will work to help get you the things you need to set you for success. To say customers come first in this shop would be a correct statement. Not many places still give this kind of service. Music lessons, equipment, friendly service and customers matter. What more can you say.

Jamin Coleman is one of the best drum instructors ever. Im a producer and I thought I knew everything about drum sounds, but, Jamin broke it down for me on how to play the drums to get the right sound instead of using a drum machine. If you are trying to learn how to play the drums, you need to learn from Jamin because he is one of the best

What an awesome experience! My daughter was overdue for a trumpet upgrade. I didnt realize there were so many options. Kitty and her staff were very patient and knowledgeable. It was clear that I was clueless, but they never made me feel insignificant or dumb. They took a lot of time with my daughter, showing her different techniques, trying out different horns and even provided her with a private lesson with another amazing staff, Instructor Dante. I cant say enough about our experience at Music & Arts in Burlington. It really was awesome!

I purchased a CASIO CDP-S100 Digital Piano from Music & Arts, 1258 S. Church St, Burlington NC. I was originally looking for a Yamaha keyboard that I saw online; and thats how I found this store. Kitty and Jonathan assisted me. It was Kitty who thrust me into this CASIO. Then, almost feverishly, she recommended (and sold me on these!) - the stand; the music book; another music book gift; and a cool stylish bright red MUSIC & ARTS shopping bag. Yes, Kitty was amazing! Then, her finale may have been even smoother. She applied some discounts for my Veteran status and thanked me for my military service. Kitty (wow!) was awesome! – and very professional. Jonathan carried out my brand-newpiano in-the-box, along with the Stand and books, and helped me stash them in my car. He has excellent customer interaction and mannerisms. I hope their boss finds out - in a hurry – and give them the praise they deserve. Thank U Kitty and Jonathan!

This was my go to spot for music equipment. However this changed Friday night when upon entering the store I was told my 7&5 year old had to wear a mask. I was more than happy to have my mask on, however to ask my children to wear them, no sir. First off they are under the age limit the governor stated had to wear masks and secondly I had stopped by there about three weeks ago and there was no issue. Seems as if we need to address the consistency of your store. Will not return. So sad

Kitty and her team are very knowledgeable and friendly. Jonathan went above and beyond in helping me find a guitar amp by understanding my needs. We tried a few amps before I decided on the Fender Acoustasonic 15. I’m glad he helped me, and I’m excited to take my music to the next level.

Everytime I’ve come here no one seems to want to help as if it’s a hustle, then this last time when I thought maybe there was new management the place was closed 30 minutes early. Hate to leave a bad review but when you really need something for music you’d think the only place for it would be more courteous.

Kitty helped me and my dad so much. We went to the Wake Forest store to rent me a marimba for me to practice at home and they ordered me one but nothing ever happened and they put the fall on this store. After talking with Kitty yesterday she personally said she will rent us their lesson marimba for me to use and I was able to get it today. If you ever have to go to a music and arts store choose this one because they know how to treat people right!

I recently had the opportunity to take saxophone lessons from Calvin at this location. It has been a great experience, even though I was not able to continue because of a recent health issue, I would highly recommend this locations and instructors for their passion and patience! I am so glad I found this resource for music! The staff are always kind, the teachers are great (especially Miss Jane!) and they have a great selection of music sheets and instruments/accessories. The EZ pay for lessons is great because I don’t have to think about remembering to pay for my lessons - the payments are fair and auto drafted! If you’re looking for a place to grow your musical talents, LOOK NO FURTHER!

This place is absolutely incredible! Kitty the manager is not only extremely knowledgeable, but helpful and cares about music and musicians alike. Whether it’s your child left their mouthpiece at home and you need to borrow one for the Christmas parade in 10 minutes, need a rental in a pinch before a gig, or even lessons! This is the place to go!

Amazing place, staff and service. Went on a Saturday to have my trumpet repaired. Informed them that my son had a concert the very next Monday. They put a rush job on it and had it completed in time for his concert.

I had bought a cheap Clarinet on Amazon and paid half of what I paid for it to get it repaired. When I went in again to get it repaired, it quickly became apparent it was a money pit. They showed me how to save money in the long run by purchasing a referbished one for the price I paid for the cheap one. Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. They work for the best interest of the student or customer.

The best place to get your musical instruments/equipment in Burlington. There’s always someone there to make sure you walk out with a smile. Have been helped by the manager a couple of times and after finding out I played at church she offered a discount for my purchases. Went back on February 2018 to buy a sustain pedal for my keyboard but they didn’t have the one I wanted so I just grabbed the cheap one because I had to play that night. Well it stoped working after about a month or 2 so I took it back to the store to see if it was covered by any kind of warranty. Really nice guy by the name of Jamie helped me out and Turns out that the warranty had just ran out. Not only did Jamie exchange it anyways but he exchanged it for the one I was originally in there to get the first time. Nothing but great experience at this location. Highly recommend it!!

Im happy with the customer service here, I didnt think I needed a tuba but the associate named Michael showed me what tuba would be best for me and my price range. 5/7 would come here again.

Basically the worst place on earth. They show there customers little respect and nearly all the do is conversate amongst themselves rather than actually talking to the customers. The sell busted instruments at insane prices and just want to sell you whatever they need to get rid of. If you dont know how to deal with swindlers and crooks and you dont know exactly what you need, DO NOT GO HERE!

I took my daughters trumpet to M&A for an ultrasonic cleaning and complete refinish of the instrument. I was given a written estimate of the cost and a time frame of 2-3 weeks. It has been almost 6 weeks now and they still can not give me an actual time the instrument will be ready. Nothing was offered in the way of an instrument to be loaned to her to use during the wait, no adjustment in cost and not even an apology any of the numerous times I have called to check the status, only a snarky tone about it. This is about a $600.00 cleaining and refinish, I hope the finished product is quality. I will not use Music and Arts in the future.3 weeks after the initial review was written the instrument finally came in. The instrument is beautiful and my daughter is very happy with the end result. I will not use this company again, I had to contact Mike in the corporate office to get my daughter a beat up loaner instrument after over a month and no cost adjustment was offered though the 2-3 week estimate took 10 weeks. Poor poor service.

Did not carry accessories for an instrument purchased at the store, had to wait for the associate to finish up her social visit before she helped me, and I was thoroughly unimpressed by the attitude she had.Was planning on purchasing another guitar later this month, but we (there are three musicians in this family) will be going elsewhere now.
