If you care anything at all about your wheels stay far away from this place! Got a full set of tires and it looks to me like they took off the old weights with a hammer and nail puller! Left deep grooves and scuffs on all 4 of my aftermarket wheels. Just a bunch of lazy people who take no pride or care about the work they put out.

Awesome place! Had a blowout on I-40 and was helped by NCDOT Safety truck with donut spare and went to Southern Tire for new tires ones on my dads car were dry-rotted, the cause of blowout. Rick was very helpful with selection and working me in. Also found that front brakes were worn out and fixed those too! My dad hadnt driven the car much in the past year. They got me worked in and did the tires and brakes in less time than I thought it would take! I was on my way to Duke Hospital for an appt. Im very grateful for all they did. I got there Saturday around 7a and planned on walking back home, which was about 1.5 miles. The gentleman says to me oh no, the road out there is to dangerous for you to walk, I will have someone take you home. When I say amazing customer service, they were great. Repaired my car, I got someone to drop me off, and the gentleman ask me again if I needed a ride. Great group of folks. I will definitely be taking all my auto needs to the Southern Tire folks. Oh and by the way, had a front end alignment, car drives like a dream..and yes I am a female.

This another place that was recommended to us by the locals when we moved here in 2012. We have bought all our tires there ever since. Their service is excellent and they stand behind their products and work. When you buy your tires there, you can take them in for free rotations every six months.

Rick and everyone that works there are great people and when they tell you that something needs to be done to your car, be it tires, brakes, alignment, etc....you can take it to the bank. I purchased tires from Southern Tires after being referred by a friend. I spoke with the owner and was referred to purchasing all weather tires costing me around $675. The selling point for me was they offered free tire rotations without having to schedule or a drop off. Specifically I was told I could come any time and get my tires rotated. 11 months later, I take them up on the offer and walk in around noon and request a tire rotation. Prior to arriving I tried calling their business multiple times starting at 8am, but due to not having call waiting, the line stayed busy. When I walked in, I saw the owner, and two workers standing behind the counter. The owner was helping a customer and the two workers were standing with an older gentleman socializing. There were no customers in the waiting area at this time, and no workers in the garage area actually working. When the two guys finally decided to look up at me, they asked how they could help me. I requested a tire rotation. The employee looked at me like I was speaking French, and quickly said absolutely no, they were way too busy. The owner quickly spoke up and said they did not have time due to an overwhelming amount of vehicles they were working on. He stated that I could drop it off and stated they was no way they could fit me in.The owner was never rude, but his employee was. The only reason I purchased tires from them was because of the exact statement from the owner of free rotations without an appointment, just show up!!I had to take time away from work and ultimately called Duncans Exxon and they quickly said bring it on. They had me out within 30 minutes.

This place is great! The guys have always been honest and helpful when asking for advice on tires and brakes. They are willing to explain ways to go cheaper to get the same performance. For example, I am a pretty handy guy, and rather than bringing a Hyundai Sonata to the shop to have rotors turned (terrible wiggle when braking on the highway), they said I should take them off myself and bring them in. This saved me tons ($35 bucks to turn all four when pre-removed, as opposed to taking the vehicle in and it costing a few times that). Tell them what you want and what you are capable of yourself, and they will tell you how to get the best price. Ask questions, and they are happy to answer without making you feel stupid or like you are wasting their time. They have also never pushed one brand or product over another to me. Ive had three cars serviced here (tires, brakes, rotors), two of them twice, and the service has always been excellent (time taken, price, explanation). I wouldnt take my car any other place in Burlington for tires or rotors anymore, regardless if someone could do it cheaper (which I doubt). Also, this is a shop full of hardworking American guys. They stay late almost every night, and are willing to talk to you after hours if still there. They closed at 5:30 PM today, and I came by at 6:25 PM. Rick was still there, welcomed me in the locked door, and quoted me several tires. He also mentioned the fastest way to have them installed (call a day prior to say what you want so they can pick them up at the warehouse, then drop off the vehicle the following day for 1-2 hour installation). Im not saying theyll always be there that late, but damn, this shop makes me proud to be American. Support them!

Great work and honest. Unfortunately it seems they have more than enough business and one can never call or get a reply on emails anymore. This is a problem when one must make an appointment to get an alignment. Great if youre not in a hurry for the alignment service.

Gosh. 15 minutes left of their day and I came in with a slashed tire from the interstate. Had 4 guys look for a used tire for me, they patched it, double checked my car, and had me on my way for less than 30 dollars, and just so helps it was a basically new continental tire with 2 patches. Will definitely be back, their service was astounding!

I’ve been here some over the years. Rick was about 10% higher on the tires I wanted, so I went with his recommendation, they were the sorriest tires I’ve ever owned. They were oem sized, 205 width, but looked more like a 175, reminded you of a motorcycle tire, handled horrible. You can’t find quality tires in my size but you can find decent “trailer tires”, these ain’t. I thought Rick was on my side, I guess not.
