Love this place! This is one of the few places I must stop every time I visit Burlington. Owners are very helpful and friendly and the selection is always changing. There are always great things to discover!

Love Anjou. Period. It’s the best kept secret for finding beautiful one of a kind items that have been carefully curated and taken in by Jess and Eric. I have purchased several items over the years for apartments I have lived in to the house I am in now. Buying used is a great alternative to buying new, is environmentally conscious and all of the items at Anjou are of way better quality. I also recently consigned for the first time and it went very smoothly. From stopping in regularly to peruse, my own style has evolved, thanks to Jess and Eric. :)

Consistently great inventory of mid-mod furniture.

I enjoy this spot, I always find something here to love for my home! We bought a great modern couch and he threw in a painting for free! They don’t usually deliver but made an exception which was super helpful!

They have beautiful items, but I find the people who run the place are pompous and rude. Having bought items from here before, I came back from Hardwick to look for a new couch for my house. My girlfriend and I were completely alone in a back room of the store, with no one within 50 yards of us, looking at a couch and sipping a hot tea we had just bought. We were of course wearing masks but had them down briefly to sip the tea. All of a sudden, a man (who I assume to be an owner but could just be a worker) came storming in and abruptly chastised us for not having our masks over our mouths. We tried to assure him that we were briefly sipping tea and that if anyone entered the room we would immediately put on our masks. (Again, the room had been empty until he came in.) In response, he accusingly asked us where we were from. The tone was discriminatory and harsh. I understand that everyone has bad days, and that is what may have happened here. Still, I will likely not be returning.

This shop is a damn gem. The owners have a great eye and source incredible pieces. Prices are reasonable and often well under what they would go for elsewhere. As a design nerd, I am so happy to have Anjou in town.

I’ll probably furnish our new condo here. Already bought: gorgeous table that seats 12 (3 leaves) with 6 newly re-upholstered chairs, comfortable red couch, glass top end table, 6 beautiful wine glasses with flower designs.Prices were right. I’ll always stop in just to look around.

Anjou is a very cool place. You will find things there that you cant find anywhere else, and some things you didnt even know existed. Considering it its in Burlington the prices are simply great. Jess, the owner is very knowledgeable about all types of decor. However, mid-century seems to be her strong point. Its hard to walk through this eclectic shop without finding something youll love.

Jess, Im so sorry for the two star rating. I must have hit the wrong key. Anjou is a five star store and always has been! I have been visiting Anjou for years and have been consistently pleased at the personal service and the quality and quirkiness of the treasures I have found. My house is graced with several items from Anjou. If you havent been there, you are missing out!

Love the wonderful inventory of unique furniture and antiques. Coming from Colorado, we bought and sold furniture here for our daughter who attended UVM. Love Jess the owner. Wonderful lady.

A lot of great items for sale (mid-century modern and more) but tends to be cluttered and hard to navigate which keep this shop from getting a better rating. Prices are okay but certainly dont come expecting a killer deal. On the other hand most items are in great condition and tend to validate higher prices, just know what you are buying first.

Drove to the shop, (it has great google reviews) Im an fan of their instagram, found a spot in front, but could not access the side walk. I use a walker or a cane to walk and the pathway was about a foot wide, covered in ice, not good dispite having a nice ramp in front of the actual shop.word to Vermont merchants, not every shopper has the ability of a mountain goat. disappointed.

The good: Pretty good selection of things you likely wouldnt be able to find elsewhere. Nice atmosphere, fun to peruseThe bad: The prices are nowhere near what I would expect for pre-owned items. If you are looking for a good deal or to decorate on a budget, look to Facebook marketplace or Craigslist

Pretentious insufferable woman, the man is kind and on different occasions seemingly more genuine and sincere, if you can get past that, (to some it matters not) they have a tremendously beautiful selection of wares to chose from..

Welcomed upon arrival. Great variety but it is so packed with items, you cannot get to almost 50% of them. A bit of a letdown.

Interesting eclectic selection. Way over priced for Vermont though. I think the owner is going for NYC prices.

Diverse and well curated selection with excellent prices. This place is a total treasure trove, and the two biggest gems are Jess and Eric. Put it on your list if you are traveling to Burlington (and bring an empty suitcase).
