I had a great experience at NTB Burke. I got a flat tire in the parking lot of the plaza, went in Monday morning to see if they could replace all 4 tires, and they were able to fit me in the same day even with their extremely busy schedule. I had a problem with my transmission not shifting properly but am new to the area so I went to NTB on Burke Road to see if I needed a transmission fluid flush and refill. Two mechanics there took a look at my old Hummer H3, saw a leak and then gave me good advice for a well-respected repair shop (High-Tech Transmissions). Im grateful for the straight and knowledgeable advice that gave me a path to the right repair. Not sure, being new to the city, if I would ever have found the right place to get this work done. The NTB mechanics helped me and Im grateful.

My family and I have been taking our vehicles to NTB for years. We are happy to see Eric Scott back at this Burke location. He and the team have worked on tires, AC and other maintenance and repairs. They have even resolved a couple of challenging issues.

The service here was top notch. Eric Scott and his associates were able to check out the air leak in our tire and get it patched at the last minute when everyone else had turned me away. It was a great relief not to have to run around another day with an aggressive leak.

Dropped off my car first thing in the morning because my brakes were making noises for the past few days. I was greeted by Zachary, who efficiently took my information, and let me know theyd get to my car as soon as they could, since they already had many appointments booked for the day. Store manager Eric Scott eventually called me back to explain what was going on--break pads and break calipers were the culprit--in addition to letting me know of other issues that he recommended I take care of soon. It was nice to be informed of these other concerns without feeling pressured to have to agree to them in that moment. Its been about two weeks since Ive picked up the car and Ive had no issues with the breaks since then! As always, great customer service and a job well done.

Eric was fantastic. I had a nail in my tire but wasn’t sure if it had gone all the way through because I wasn’t losing air. He slowly removed the nail while checking for air loss to discover it was just a tack. He did this free of charge. I highly recommend this team.

NTB and Eric have helped me out a number of times. They are reliable, fair, and fast. Most recently, I had trouble with my A/C while I was out of town, but they couldnt fix it except to refill coolant. Brought it to NTB, and they didnt see anything wrong either (except low coolant), so they recharged and said to bring it back if it continued. When it started going out again, I brought it back - they cleaned out the A/C and stared for minutes on end while dye ran through it until they finally spotted a leak. Running great now!

I purchased my Honda CrV in 2012, have been bringing it to the NTB, on Burke Rd in Burke Va., since 2013. I have ALWAYS received great service! My tires that I just replaced today, as Eric had promised years ago, lasted 6 years. Eric Scott is my “go to” because he is honest, upfront about repairs needed, and lets me know what can wait, and what cannot. I follow his advice, have all the work done there, not just tires, and as a result my car runs very well. He always gives me a good estimate on how long my wait will be, since I wait for repairs. I would not take my car anywhere else. (And if you are wondering if this is a real review, I usually eat breakfast or lunch in the Spartan Restaurant down the block. You will know the place.) Great place. Trustworthy mechanics. And Eric is THE best manager!

I can not say enough about my visit to NTB store #358 at 9568 Burke Road. I was in a tough spot needing help to drive in the last quarter inch of two bolts for a hitch I was installing on my minivan. Without hesitation, Eric Scott helped me finish the job with a pneumatic socket gun. He then further went out of his way to ensure the torque was set correctly with a torque wrench. This is the second time Eric and the team at this NTB have helped me in a jam! The team here is awesome. If you want incredible service for your automobile, these guys will make it happen! I tried to get a alignment here for my car the storeManager Eric Scott who I spoke with refuse me service to get an alignment at this location. He told me to get a alignment at another ntb location and refused me service for a alignment saying they were too Busy he wouldnt even put me down at all for an appointment to get an alignment weeks from today saying that there to busy for a alignment. Eric who I spoke to Was very disrespectful,combative, confrontational,And got very verbally abusive with me I had even ask for him to calm down all I wanted was a alignment. But he never did. I dont recommend this place as long as Eric Scott is the store manager. He will treat you the same like he did to me.

My brakes were kind of spongy I just had the master cylinder replaced at a different place. I stopped in and saw Eric and an up and coming mechanic Wes. Eric brought him along during the diagnosis Eric drove the truck and looked at my wheels and asked if I have a boat or drive in saltwater alot. I said yeah how do you know. He said I believe I know what your problem is with the brakes wes put the truck up and removed all the wheels and they showed me all my calipers and drums were extremely corrodedHe said they couldnt have bled the brakes as the bleeder ports were all fused and corroded. Anyways to make a long story short they put penetrant on each port got the drum brakes port to open wes side the work as I was amazed at the mentorship and training Eric gave Wes. Awesome. Ok I wound up getting new drum brakes and drums and will go back to get new front calipers next week BIG UPS to NTB Eric and Wes

The location and staff themselves are great and have been a big help getting issues resolved and fixed. However the rebate program is a complete mess at the corporate level. Because it cant be trusted I have major issues in going back and purchasing based on specials or rebate prices.

Bottom line up front: Failure on many levels at this location with the primary failure being concise communications.I would highly advise potential customers to avoid this location for future needs. I needed a complete set of tires for my wife’s SUV. We made an appointment for Tuesday, June 1st 2021. NTB-Burke called my wife to inform her that they were short staffed and she’d have to drop the car off as it would take many hours to complete. This wasn’t an option for us then. We have a small child and I work during the week, so my family would be stuck without transportation/waiting at NTB Burke. My wife decided to reschedule until Saturday, June 5th 2021, so that I could be there to drive them home after dropping the vehicle off. We were called on the morning of the 5th and told that they were still short staffed, and that the car would have to be left there until approximately 6pm. This wasn’t an issue because I was home. Fast forward to vehicle drop off time. I get to the location and was told that the vehicle “may not” be completed by 6pm. This again wasn’t an option, as I have to leave tomorrow for an out of town trip for work. I explained this to the NTB-Burke associate. He continued to process my service and I had to ask 3x times if the vehicle would be done by 6pm. He finally told me that it couldn’t be promised. I then took the keys and left. My wife spoke to the manager after we left about the service, or lack there of. He was very polite and professional. I highly recommend that NTB corporate revamp the online appointment process and be more transparent about what’s in stock at each location. Failure at the corporate level trickles down to the community NTB locations, and makes life difficult for managers and associates.

I had a flat tire near this NTB store and was able to make it to the store before it was completely flat. I parked on the side near there bay doors. When I went in to ask if they could help me I was told they couldn’t fit me in so I changed my own tire. I’m 65 years old and watch two employees set down out side and watch me change my tire. A costumer if there’s even asked me if he could help. I said thank you but I can handle it.

Great customer service! Stopped by to see if they sold jumper cables and, though they don’t, the salesman promptly loaned me his personal pair. Very helpful!!

This place is awful!!! Customer service is so bad!! You make an appointment at 2 pm, and they will tell you to come back in two hours; that’s all for just an oil and filter change. The front desk guy made four people waiting in the line and kept trying to sell tiers for 20 minutes.

On a Sunday during the hottest day of the summer one of the tires on my highlander developed a leaky valve. I got the tire down to NTB in Burke. Eric Scott, the store manager, looked at the tire, ran it into the shop and replaced the valve. When I went to pay he told me no charge. What great service! I didnt think I would even get my car on the road that day.

Extraordinary service on the 4th of July, when our car battery decided to die. So fortunate that NTB was open, and that they were able to help. Allen and Ken are fabulous, courteous technicians; absolutely real assets to the company. The store manager is also one of the reasons this store is so great. Strongly recommend this location!

I found a screw in my tire, called and spoke to Eric who said come right over. Within 10 minutes I was on my way home, it turns out the screw didn’t penetrate. I appreciated the speed and courteous professionalism of the shop and Eric, will definitely go back!

Customer service, value and waiting area were fantastic.The major issue was the replacement wheel bolt used. After getting my car back i noticed a metal clicking sound...i stopped driving the car till i had time to look at it.The issue was the wrong wheel bolt was installed. This lack of attention to detail worries me. 40% of my wheel bolts were incorrect and thus insufficient surface area securing my wheel to the hub.The mark (ring) around the base of the cone (chrome - wheel bolt) was the only contact area holding my wheel on for that bolt.

Wanted to charge me 2 hours of labor for outer tie rods and suggested that they may have to do the whole tie rod. Then claimed that Id probably spend more if I tried to do it myself at home. Well, it probably took me an hour at home, cost $30 for grease to do both outers with hand tools, and was pretty easy. I will never go back and/or trust these scammers.

I give this NTB 9568 BURKE, RD location a 5+. I have an oil change appointment for 10:00 am. I arrived there @ 9:42 am, and within 5 minutes my car was being prepared & driven to the service bay. Oil change promotion is for 21.99 as stated in the site. However, the Service Manager who assisted went ahead and offered me an oil change of 19.99, with no disposal fee added.Staff are COVID19 prepared, all wearing a mask, gloves to protect customer such as myself. Social distancing is well followed at this location. I was in a out in about 45 minutes.Of course this is only an oil change. I have been in other places for a standard oil change with set appointment time, and when I get there, I have to wait over 1 hour. However, here at the NTB Burke, VA locations. I was in an out. I will be returning again for future service appointment.This is my experience on a set appointment for an oil change. However, your experience may vary & mechanical service needed.

I have just picked up my car after a 60,000 mile check up. I had to wait for the care because I come from Woodbridge. I use this particular NTB for good reason. Always polite and caring, I feel that they have always been totally honest. Best of all under the covid 19 situation, I love how clean the waiting are is and that they continue to do social distancing. It is worth it for me to drive the extra distance.

I needed help on my car because a plug that I placed on my tire about 3 weeks ago started to leak air so I made an appointment. I use my car to go to work so I make sure nothing is wrong with it in any way with that said after 2 hours of work to place two brand new tires my vehicle was returned to me with my engine light on. Prior to arriving at my appointment I drove to NTB from up the street where I live and can guarantee that I had no engine light on. When I went back to talk to the man with blonde hair blues eyes who checked me out he said it was written on the initial paperwork. Thats is a flat out lie, my car is a year old and I know it should not be having a check engine light. He took my key and went to see what the problem was. He came back and said that it was my air filter and that he fixed it. First if all why was my air filter messed with to cause an engine light last time I checked it was a tire change. So yes the check engine sign went away for a short time. I was getting ready to leave to WV when the check engine light appeared again. So I was going to take it back but to NTB but I said no Im taking to dealership. So I went to Chevy dealership in Chantilly another hour or so later the service manager informed that air filter had not been properly installed correctly and causing the engine light. All this time driving to Chantilly my car had been sucking particles in to the vehicle make it run worse than before. 2 possible answers, first it that there are inexperienced Mechanics working at NTB which doesnt even make sense because it was a tire change and nothing more so if they opened up the hood for any other reason would to be sabotage the customer. I say this because I use to work as a mechanic for one of these places and when we did a TIRE CHANGE ONLY we never popped the hood and well I mentioned my 2 answer: sabotage. Anyways depending on your experience with this company either you will agree with me or disagree but this was my first experience with them and I will never go back to them $400 bill from them and another $200 because of them from the dealership. To the Business: I dont care to talk to anyone at your customer service so a reply is not necessary I just wanted to get my horrible experience documented. I am just happy that I took FPU and had my emergency fund because I was able to afford your bill and your companies mistake.

I discovered a nail in my car tire one evening, and I arrived at this location ten minutes before closing. I expected them to tell me to come back the next day, but Val took my car in and had the tire patched in 20 minutes. I could tell they were busy, too, so I greatly appreciated the great customer service and quick turnaround. Ill definitely take my car back for future service.

I got scammed. I was told that there was a staple in my tire. A STAPLE. why would my tire go out as fast as it did if there was a staple still in my tire. I was also presented with a staple. my tire came off the wheel and they charged me to patch it when i went over the tire several times and all that was wrong was that the tire had come off the bead. after inspecting the tire 3 days later, because it went flat again. i found that chunks of tire were missing off the bead. never going back here again

Take too long time for oil change.It takes almost 2 hours, employs just walk around talk around.Do not come this place.

Top-notch customer service! Easy online reservation. Came in for an oil change, battery replacement, and state inspection. All done less than a hour. Also no hard selling of these things are wrong with your car that need to be fixed.

I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this store for basic services like oil changes or tire services.I suggest taking your car elsewhere for major repairs (brakes, shocks, a/c, etc).Using their online reservation system has been effective at reducing wait time for me.The one time that I have had concerns about work performed at this shop the manager went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied.

Got a flat tire this morning. They didnt have my size/brand I wanted in stock so they got them from the warehouse. Staff was calm, courteous, and professional despite the extreme busyness of the shop.Hey corporate, please dont make the staff upsell. I just had a fuel service done at the dealer two months ago but a fuel service was strongly recommend by both of your front desk people.

The employees I worked with were courteous and knowledgeable. They were accurate on their estimates for both time and cost. I am very pleased and will come back for future auto maintenance.

I brought various vehicles here for servicing for over 10 years now. They are very helpful and are knowledgeable about everything I have asked them. A shop that performs many services, they will be busy, and it is expected. I have seen them help a lady with a flat tire at 7 AM (opening time) so that she would not be stranded. Staff is great, my go to guys are Eric and Val, they are awesome!

Quick, knowledgeable and courteous staff! Had a puncture on an expensive tire and stopped by to see if it could be repaired. Manager had to submerge the tire to locate the problem and determine if repair was possible. In very short order, he found the hole and fixed it at no cost for good will. I hope that I don’t have any car problems but, if I do, this shop will be my first stop.

The service was terrible. Safety inspection took me 6 hours. I drop my car there at 10:20 a.m. They said that it took about 1-2 hours. I called them at 1:30 p.m. they said it would be completed the safety inspection around 3:00 p.m. I went to the shop at 3:30 p.m. They said window wiper blades had to be replaced I said ok, but they had to order them first.and the delivery took about 30 mins. I told them why didnt you call me and ask about it before? I left my car there at 10:20 this morning. No one said sorry. Finally, I pick up my car at 4:20 p.m.NTB absolutely ruined my day.

I have been coming here for the last year and a half and have always been pretty pleased! They are usually pretty fast and reliable with pretty good prices while not always the best- they are above averageNew edit -- Took my car in for a oil change. I dropped it off at about 6 on a week day. Made it very clear that I needed it done by the morning of the next day as I had work (and I was leaving the next day for a long trip) I came in the next day and found out they did not only not do it, but I walked in and 3 employees were just sitting there laughing. Will not go back.

Had 2:30 appointment. By 3:00 they hadnt touched the car. Went in for a leaky tire. Left without repair. Will NEVER be back.

This shop has been my go to shop for years. The valve stem on one of my tires broke yesterday and the tire went flat. I took it to NTB, where I got my tires. Eric Scott got it taken care of right away. No fuss and I was back on the road. They didnt even charge for the valve stem. Ill be back when its time for my next service

Eric and his team at NTB (formally Merchants) have always delivered great and fast service to me these past couple years I’ve been going to them. Whether it be a tire alignment, replacement, oil change, or just any maintenance problems I’ve had they’ve been able to handle it; at a reasonable price too. The most recent visit, and reason I’m writing this message, was the best too. My engine in my Kia Optima cut out on me, and after looking at it Eric let me know that this may have something to do with a recall. Kia requested my oil change information that I definitely didn’t have, but NTB was able to provide them with the paperwork and now I’m on the road to a new motor. NTB has just worked out for me in every situation so I strongly suggest going to them. NTB for life over here y’all!Thanks so much Eric!

I made an appointment for 11 for a screw in my tire. I had a feeling the screw was too close to the outside of the tire. I was right so I needed 1 new tire. They told me it would be ready by 1230. I thought an hour and a half for 1 tire and for someone who made an appointment I felt was a little excessive but I figured they were just covering their bases.Car wasnt ready till 1:10 pm. That is ridiculous. It does not work take 2 hours to take a tire off, put a new one on, balance the wheel, and put the wheel and tire back on the car. So A) the technicians do not know what they are doing B) the like to take their sweet time or all of the above. Never going back there again!

The guys at Burke Merchants are great! The manager Eric is on point when it comes to service. They take care of my BMW with the upmost care everytime. Most of the time they have me in and out very quickly. Can’t think of anything they could do better. I’ve been going there for years and will continue for many years to come!

I just had a tire blow out on Sunday, at 4pm!! I knew this tire was almost impossible to find in stock, but Val and the whole team at merchants were able to help resolve my issue by picking up the tire and installing it same day. All before closing at 6 pm Phenomenal customer service.

Weve gone here many times over many years. Tires great. Service hit or miss, but today we will never go back. They wanted $70 to change a lightbulb and we supplied the lightbulb, charging 1/2 hour at mechanics rate. An oil change isnt that much and includes 5 quarts of oil. Went to Cardinal Shell. FREE since we had the bulb. Thats how you get and keep customers. Bye, Merchants!UPDATE: I contacted them, as suggested below, and have yet to receive a response...FINAL UPDATE: They sent me generic coupons. No letter. No apology. Guess they didnt really HEAR me.

I came in with a problem that had been caused by another tire store. Merchants Team was able to resolve the issue quickly at a fair price.

I went in to get an oil change and replace a tail light. I was greeted by a really nice front desk employee, Alex. Who walked me through the process and explained the ins and outs. I even got my check engine light looked into by my mechanic, Tim, even though I remembered halfway through. They went above and beyond in expectation!

I have been a customer of Burke Merchants for 16 years and I have to say tonight they put the icing on the cake by staying late after the shop had closed to ensure I was safely on the road with fully functioning headlights...you guys will forever be my favorite whether its a new set of tires, an oil change or a full alternator replacement....I can count on you guys (Eric and Val in particular) to ensure I get just what I need and nothing more!

I got a great deal on 4 All Terrian tire for Ford F-150 with a purchase of a 3 year alignment plan the cost was for all was 700.

Had a minor issue, took me on time and finished fast. Near by, comfortable waiting room.

Service staff is good just not sure they properly complete the repair work

I was extremely disappointed with my last visit at Merchants. I have been going to the Merchants in Burke VA for years . This past weekend I dropped off my car on Sunday at noon for routine oil change and tire rotation and the oil change was not done until Monday at 6:00 and tire rotation was not done since they couldnt open the glove drawer to get the wheel lock. All they had to do was to push up on the glove drawer and it drops down or call me and I would have instructed. Neither was done and now I have to go back for tire rotation. Not good service - sorry.Jim S.

Took the car in because it was missing..they did everything from replacing the back brakes...to oil change...turn up or so they said..replaced a belt and motor... next day still doing the same thing..took it back in ..said they couldnt find anything wrong with it...drove it away...still doing same thing...went back..had a mechanic ride...he went in and said it was missing...and because there computer said there was nothing wrong then there was nothing wrong... we will not be going back....

I recently took a trip to Florida and left my car at the airport. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a huge nail. The airport pumped my tire but overnight, it deflated again. I really needed to get into work early on Monday morning. I didnt have time for a flat tire. Merchant Auto was open early at 7:30, fixed my tire and I was back at work on time for the start of my week. Thanks Merchants!

I took my Prius to this Merchants Tire in Burke to have a leaking tire valve replaced. I was told since it had an air pressure sensor connected to it, the whole unit must be replaced, and was quoted $199.00. When I went back to pick up the car, the manager told me they were able to fix the valve without replacing the whole unit, and the cost was only $34.00. I was very impressed by their honesty.

My nearest Merchant Tire store provided horrible service so I drove past it to this one and have been coming to this store ever since. Ive always been very happy with the service here. They listen and try to meet your needs rather than sell you what you dont need.

By failing to diagnose the issue properly (after working on the car THREE times in 6 months) the engine blew and had to be replaced. The place we *did* get it fixed said NONE of the things they fixed/replaced needed to be repaired. They costed us $6000 (!!!) that we shouldnt have had to spend.

My car was aligned a couple weeks ago but the steering wheel would be off centered when driving in a straight line. I worked with Vale who was able to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem after a couple test drives. There was malfunction in the machine being used for alignment which was reading incorrectly. Hopefully Burke Merchants Tire fixed that issue but thanks to Vale he centered my steering and I was good to go.

Had a Flat tire, in and out in under an hour.Not bad. Thanks Guys.
