We went to Lancers for lunch. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. My husband had a Reuben sandwich with a lot of fat in the corned beef. I had an Athenian gyro, which was good. Both came with fries, which were good. Portions were generous.

This place has some good dishes. Their sandwiches are mostly good but their turkey is mediocre. The breakfasts are good but not great. Their dinners are quite good particularly their fish and chicken. However though dinners are accompanied by bread and come with a small dessert most of the waiters and waitresses dont offer these and you must remind them to bring it.

Excellent service! Waiters are running around, very attentive to ALL tables and counter patrons. Ham steak (thick), sour dough toast with butter and jelly, FRESH black coffee…I was in breakfast paradise for minute. Don’t judge this book by it’s cover, it’s a whole different world once you walk in. They have tables outside for you corona spooks. Tip them well, they deserve it!

My dads favorite Burbank restaurant and its better than ever! Great comfort food with generous portions, so theres plenty to take home for seconds.

Delicious and filling portions, wish the corned beef had been fresh but at least it was a bit charred which I love.

This place is great and affordable if youre looking for quick and reliable diner food. If you happen to be on a special diet i.e. gluten free, low sugar, etc., it might be a little more difficult to find something you like. The staff are incredibly nice and prompt.

I did not like food in 1970s to start with. This was a badly executed version with todays prices. The chicken sandwich was old dry meat, tasted like it was day old frozen and thrown on rhe grill for a substandard meal. Save your money. I hope they will improve and adjust to current times. The quality of food is the reason one would go to a restaurant, not for the ambiance. We need good quality family-friendly restaurants. Good luck.

Classic diner experience with a wide variety of options. Food was good - not memorable, but not bad. Furniture has recently been upgraded which was nice.

I think this diner is not affected by time, and I mean it in a good way. If you ever wanted to show your kids what a typical diner experience was when you or your parents were growing up, then take them to Lancers. Food is good, service is nice and friendly, place is clean. All around a warm feeling experience

Lancers has been a favorite of mine for many years. Everything they make is homemade and wonderful. They have the best soups, thousand island dressing and hamburgers as well as many dinner specials each day. The service is fast and friendly. They now have outside dining too. Very fair prices. Try it and youll thank me. Go back again if its been a while.

Great place . I ate there with family and it was such a classic yet modern vibe. Great choices and trust everything was great. I loved it because it comes with options and the Daily Dinner special came with so much for a great price. I even enjoyed their side of steamed carrots.

We havent been back since before covid and it was one of my moms favorite places. So happy they are open and we were able to get Lupe as she is our favorite waitress. Food is always good, portions are huge. Love having soup And salad with my meal and it came with a scoop of ice cream. So happy to be able to dine in again.

This place was really good food-wise but the customer service was even better! The man that took my pick up order early this morning (4/7/21) was awesome!! He called me to make sure he got my order correct and made sure we had everything we needed for our hotel room, (staying at the Marriott) He’s definitely a gem there! He was even super professional and friendly with the customer ahead of me and to his in-house customers. Great job! Eggs and pancakes were a hit too

We were sitting at a booth and we observed the busboy putting clean silverware from trays into small paper individual bags and was picking them up with his ungloved hand by the end that goes in your mouth. Mentioned it to one of the owners who said we have more germs in our own kitchen and walked away and said nothing to the busboy. When I was a waiter I was always taught to pick up silverware by the handle.

Its a great family place. Been there forever. Several generations of our family have been going here. Same staff. Prime rib on Fridays is always a bargain. Just make sure to get your bread grilled.

Ate here while visiting family. It is an older establishment, but the food was great and the service was awesome. They were short staffed but working so hard to please everyone. Please have patience! This is a difficult time for everyone!

Went to Lancers today Friday july 9th. Walked in and no air conditioning. Had to be 100 degrees. No one greeted me or attempted to seat me. I sat in both and was asked what would I like to drink. 15 minutes later I had to ask for a menu. I ordered a lunch special. The fish was dry like cardboard so I told the waitress I could not eat. She took 2.00 off menu without a explanation. I than asked for the mgr and instead of the manager the cashier came over and adjusted my bill again. One of the worst experiences ever and would not reccomend ever

Sat in bar to keep our little one from bothering anyone. A/C was out, coffee was not made, filthy table, wrong order, no jelly with toast, unknowledgeable server. all this with only 2 other people in bar! 😰

Lancers is a family restaurant. The food is good and some waiters are nice. The price is right for your money. They have a regular menu but they also have an every day menu that my hobby likes.

Finally! We got indoor seating yesterday to eat at Lancers!The food was great and beyond my expectations! I had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy and carrots!

Even though they were hit hard by COVID, they have held out well through this and continue to serve amazing breakfast! In addition to that, the staff are very patient and kind!

We have been here twice in the past month, because the parking is so convenient. I am never thrill to go there, because it is, basically, a coffee shop! However, I have ended up having 2 very good meals in the Lounge section, complete with excellent drinks and service! I had trout the first visit and fish and chips this week. Both were great and the prices are reasonable. I plan to return soon, since I notice that they have lamb shanks on the menu. A favorite. Anyway, I highly recommend Lancers for good food, service and drinks.

Came here with my grandma, cousin and great aunt. It was a nice warmish day and we decided to come here. I dont remember what I got but it was a damn good sandwich.

We had to eat outside, which wasnt fun in this hot weather. The service was a little slow, but the staff was very nice and helpful.Now the good part. The food was great! I had a Belgian waffle, my daughter-in-law had tilapia and my granddaughter had eggs Benedict. It was all very good. So was their raspberry iced tea.We all want to go back to try other items on their huge menu!

One of the few places open on Christmas Day. We stopped in around 1:30pm and the place was busy but we were seated immediately. I had a late breakfast: Denver omelet with hash browns (which also contained chopped bell pepper and onion) and a stack of two rather large pancakes. All was quite good and really filling. I ate Christmas dinner about 8:30pm but wasnt all that hungry even seven hours after having the late breakfast at Lancers. I snapped the attached photo as a momento of sorts since Im only visiting here from Texas.

Lancers is an institution in Burbank. Its a great place for people who want a no frills but pleasant environment in an nostalgic old style coffee shop. The portions are huge and the prices dont hurt the wallet. Some friends and I went there for lunch and it was largely a senior crowd coming for good food and nostalgia. The service was great. The food was excellent. I had an amazingly large omelette, a generous portion of hash browns and two huge pancakes for $8.99. The portion sizes amazed me. LANCERS is a great place if you like old style good food and large portions. It may not be the place for the trendy crowd but it sure is great for people who want good food at a good price. I saw there was a separate room with a bar but were only in the dining area.

Great place to eat. Desserts are humongous. My husband had a banana split. For less then $7.00 3 people could finish this. Unfortunately my husband didnt share. 🤣

Best chicken tortilla soup anywhere!!! Served on Fridays. Margarita is the best server there, takes awesome care of you.

My parents have been going here since they were teens and they are 55. Theyve also been taking us here since we were babies and I absolutely love it here, staff is great, food is great. Its a great family restaurant ♡ you can see this place sitting in the back of a scene in Back to the Future.

Ok so we tried this place for the first time 6 days ago and not to be ageist but I’m 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure this place is aimed at an older crowd. That’s not a problem I just wanted to let people know. About the food. The cheese fries tasted weird and the pancakes were ok. The omelette tasted like something you would get at a school cafeteria.

Family meals and the scene at this spot is very good. Good place to catch up with friends. I look forward to a return trip.
