Stopped by this cute little coffee shop on a Sunday afternoon and I was very impressed by not only the service but the establishment and amazing matcha. I’m such a fiend for matcha and this oatmilk matcha was probably the best one I’ve had that I haven’t made. I also tried the apple turnover and it was delicious. The shop is small but has outdoor seating. Very cute inside also. They don’t take cash but who carries cash nowadays anyways.
Ive been here twice now. The Baristas are really friendly. And I really like their lavender drinks. I had the Earl Grey lavender latte and it was really nice. Also a Blueberry muffin which was Bakery fresh and quite lovely. The place was a little crowded at 9:30 this morning and most of the patrons had the sense to keep distance and everybody was masked.
Stopped by for some Sunday morning drinks and was not disappointed! Loved the lavender menu and the baristas were kind, quick, and happy to be there. There were lots of tables outside to sit at and everything was clean and beautiful. Also got the brownie and it was THE BEST BROWNIE EVER - highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back!
My wife and I love the Ugly Mug! Great coffee and nice atmosphere. Their music is always on point too! ;)
Cute little coffee spot. The vibe is very homey and the staff is incredible. They always so cheerful and sweet. They always have great music on so that’s a big plus.We go in a lot as my boyfriend is obsessed with the blueberry iced coffee. He says that it’s the perfect, subtle blend of blueberries and coffee.
Friendly workers and unique drinks. You have to get the brownie though. That thing is huge and tastes amazing. Cute interior and nice vibes.
Cute little place with some solid coffee options. Im a little confused by the 12 different menus and merch wall, but overall a nice spot.
My go-to coffee place in Burbank. Best Chai Lattes around hands down.
Love this little quaint place tucked away in Burbank. Love the coffee, the ambience and awesome customer service. After my first visit with a friend last month, I fell in love with The Ugly Mug. I am now a regular customer!☕😊
This was my first time at the Ugly Mug coffee house. I ordered the pumpkin spice horchata latte. It was so good. The staff was friendly and the community was just as friendly. I will be coming more often for my cup of JoeBye bye Starbucks....Hello Ugly Mug!!
Fast and friendly service. Good coffee. Nice pastries. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Baristas always super friendly and the coffee is phenomenal and consistent! Just moved here from out of state recently and have been on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop. I think I’ve found it!!!
Came here with my daughter for the first time today to support a BHS IMA fundraiser. This place is the cutest, and everything we ordered was delicious!I got a Lavender Earl Gray Latte and the flavors were soft and wonderful. Not too sweet either! My daughter got a Strawberry Mango Smoothie which was also delicious and not too sweet. I definitely want to try their Banana Chocolate Latte next time. The pastries were on point, and I wish I got some extras for breakfast in the morning. They were that good! The service was super friendly. There were only two people working, and they were very sweet and kept the line moving well.Because of this fundraiser, we are now fans for life!
Lavender earl gray iced tea is AMAZING!
Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. My favorite spot!
Great little coffee shop, their Lavender Latte is amazing.
Ugly Mug is our go-to! My kids absolutely love their specialty hot chocolates and Ive never been disappointed in a new drink. I love the owners and the community theyve created there. If youre in Burbank, you MUST hit the Ugly Mug.
The coffee was so piping hot that i burnt my tongue. After waiting 20 mins for it to cool down, it ended up being awfully burnt so i threw it away. Cute place, but keep your coffee on check!
Great service. Prices ok.
Love the coffee, the staff and the patrons.
Terrific Vanilla Nut coffee with Almond Milk. Friendly, helpful service. Cute store.
Great coffee house. Reasonable prices. Cool vibes.
Place is flipping legendary
Easily one of my favorite coffee places to go to when I go on long walks!
Parking is a big problem. Almost convinced me to Not go to this location. Customer service was marginally acceptable. Cashier was neither friendly nor happy to be there it seemed. Drinks were very good! Lost 2 stars for the parking hardship and the mediocre atmosphere the staff provided.
Great place for coffee. Friendly employees too. Limited parking but free parking on street.
Best kept secret in Burbank. Delicious coffee and the sweetest staff. We love Ugly Mug!
Great vibe and tasty coffee! Loved the Hazelnut Mocha.
Cool local place with great drinks, friendly staff, and nice decor. Definitely will be back!
The only issue I could even possibly have is that sometimes the line is long, but whats a five to seven minute wait for some of the best coffee in Burbank? This place is awesome. Small, but not tiny, charming, and the staff is super friendly. The coffee is tasty, hot and fresh.I recommend this place highly.
Driving by I caught The Ugly Mug out of the corner of my eye and stopped to check it out. It’s super cute! Great, warm ambiance! Indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very nice. My Frappuccino was tasty and I had a swell time. They offer baked goods as well, but I didn’t partake. I’ll definitely be back here regularly! Check them out!
So I stumbled upon this amazing little coffee shop and I have to say they do a great job of delivering. They have these unicorn hot chocolate drinks...well...I know its silly, but it was really good and the fact that it is so silly, colorful, and doused in sprinkles just made the experience all the better. The staff have also been incredibly friendly each time Ive gone in
The Service: The owners, Steve & Emily (husband/wife team)~ Full of passion for their new business! Both of them are so friendly with customers, very welcoming. Their staffs are very attentive, always keeping the store clean. I love supporting local business owners especially young entrepreneurs! The Drinks: Tried out their specialty Drink Unicorn. Super colorful presentation~ What a fun drink!! You can order either hot, iced or blended. Perfect drink for summer time!Love their outdoor patio seating area! I heard their tea is very good, will definitely go back & try it soon. The Parking: Street parking (free!)
Love this coffee shop. Whenever I am in Burbank I stop. Today was Earl Grey Lavender Latte! Yummy
So glad this place finally opened. There has been no coffee options for awhile in this section of Burbank. The latte was very good and so was the plain coffee. They have a list of brews for regular, decaf, flavored both hot and iced. Look forward to coming back. The nutty doodle blend was very good.
The best mug of coffee in bb
Awesome place! We were only in California for 4 days and this place is what we will miss the most. Friendly service, nice atmosphere and excellent coffee!
There can be a long wait but if you have the time it’s worth it.
Great coffee! Super friendly staff that loves their stuff and wants you to love it too. Great cozy little shop on Burbank in Burbank. Stop in, you can thank me later
Awesome location and vibe. They have very unique selection of drinks.
Nice spot to grab a drink. But def would get it to go. Music inside is just way too loud for the vibe. Not a place to study, chat or have a biz meeting. Grab n’ go.
Favorite neighborhood coffeeshop. A nice treat after a good hike.
My favorite coffee shop in Burbank. Very pet friendly! Bring your pet, and they will be greeted with a smile. Cozy atmosphere with outside tables and chairs.
Iced White Chocalate Latte was just what the doctor ordered. Good service was a nice bonus.
Businesses on Burbank seem to fail so often. This shop is a welcome change and I hope it sticks around. The coffee is well made and delicious. The service is always kind. Ill do my small part and keep going here since its within walking distance from my house.
This coffee shop would be right at home in a small town...and I mean that in the best possible way. The interior is full of warm wood and decor that makes it feel like you are stepping into someones home. The Kona coffee is delicious, the croissants are crispy and butter, and the staff is charming and friendly. This is a hidden gem that I selfishly wish would stay hidden (but hope that others visit because it is worth the trip!)
Super cute place and yummy drinks
Lovely little coffee shop run by wonderful people. Go for great service, and a decent, but lovingly crafted coffee drink. The pastries are also delicious without being bougie. I would recommend this place for a nice mid afternoon chat 😁
If youre from Seattle and looking for a good coffee shop, this is it. The baristas dont burn the shots. Lots of flavors. And unique hot chocolates with flair and fun.
I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at The Ugly Mug on our interview date.We have a special place in our hearts for Burbank and we are happy to finally list The Ugly Mug as one of our long list of reasons why we will come back to the city again and again. This family-owned shop takes you to the past once you step inside with its adorably vintage décor (comprised of old-time-y artwork, clocks, cameras, and coffee pots) and traditional fifties interior layout and design, complete with rustic hardwood accents and a warm and inviting color palette. Apart from its physical appearance, the shop’s menu is absolutely something to praise as they’ve found a harmonious balance between classic recipes and potential new favorites. On the food side, you’ve got a variety of fresh-baked pastries of the croissant, muffin or bagel form with options ranging from sweet to savory to fruity. On the beverage side, lattes, iced coffees and espressos are the scene stealers with plenty of flavor options to choose from, in which I gluttonously opted for a Blueberry Lavender Iced Coffee for our visit. Don’t drink coffee? No problem! There are plenty of equally delicious tea and non-caffeinated beverages to choose from, including fruit-infused smoothies and hot chocolate. For the past two decades, the Ugly Mug owners have strived to create a welcoming community for coffee (or tea, smoothie, or non-caffeinated beverage) lovers from all walks of life, and it’s always impressive and exciting to hear about a local mom and pop shop staying alive in an era of instant gratification in shop form (think Starbucks or Coffee Bean) or delivery form (i.e. subscriptions, pickup services, etc.). In a way, it shows that there are still many of us who crave a homecooked (or in this case, homebrewed) experience when it comes to the types of businesses we step foot in, which is something that has slowly been returning as a trend in the modern age. Hats off to The Ugly Mug and cheers to many more years of caffeine fueled memories!
Place was cute and small. Employee was polite and nice.. the coffee of choice was awful. Should have gotten something better.. next time...
It was my first time and it was 👌 nice
Had a raspberry coffee. It was actually good. People working were friendly and they have a stamp card system to get a free one thats faster than Starbucks.
Delicious baked goods. Stellar atmosphere with great music. Tasty tea and a warm chocolate for my toddler.
I really like their coffee. The kona is tasty. Also tried the earl gray lavender latte, a little weak but interesting and good flavors. The muffin was overpriced and just okay, not as impressed. Ill keep coming back for the delicious coffee, and amazing amibiance and music.
Great neighborhood coffee shop with
Amazing people, amazing drinks, amazing atmosphere, amazing events, did I say amazing yet? Just amazing!
Cute little coffee spot, I got the pumpkin spice chai latte, and it was way too syrupy sweet. Didnt taste muh like pumpkin either.
Go for the ice cream strawberry mango smoothie delight also know as the Summer Blast which is perfect for these hot summer days we are experiencing right now
It was delicious! Super clean and a cozy spot to hangout. I loved it.
Absolutely so cute! My iced Chai is so good! Its reasonably priced and has a great atmosphere!
This is a quaint little coffee and tea spot in the heart of Burbank. Pretty much what you would expect, with cool decor and a great assortment of coffees and teas.
Was looking for a coffee shop near the Hollywood/ Burbank airport and saw this. Great little coffee shop with kitschy decor, good coffee, some pastry items, and friendly fast service.
Espresso was good. The medium roast Kona didnt taste much like anything. The dark roast was still lighter than a pike at starbucks. Sevice was pleasant but green.
I had a Frozen chai cappuccino and I also had a mango iced tea very good
Good coffee and pastries. Good price.
Iced coffee was Waaaaay to aweet!! We had 3 different flavors all the same, to sweet to even drink it...waste of my money
Great place for laptop work (good WiFi and easy access to outlets). Employees are super nice too.
Great place to sit and relax over a coffee.
Best hot chocolate yummy and coffee too! Love this place.
Beautiful little coffee house, had a delicious almond croissant good music playing, and courteous staff. 🙂
Amazing coffee!
I want to visit this place. Was not impressed. Over priced. Small place. Never going back
Good drinks... even better service.
The coffee here is not all that, the place seems a little lonely, the kids that work there are probably the only good thing at that shop. But I just found out the owners (steve n emely) dont give the tips we put either in the jar or in credit card to their employees, actually the owners keep the tips to themselves and dont give any to their employees, to me they are taking advantage of those young kids. Thats just very sad! I Will never go to this coffee shop ever again. And if your thinking of applying to work here think twice!!
Great. Friendly, efficient service, yummy scone and lovely almond milk mocha
Easily my favorite coffee shop in Burbank. The drinks are delicious and the staff is super friendly.
They one of they most best cups in bur
Cute, small, friendly, and tasty.
Great service, super cute coffee shop and even greater coffee n pastries. No more Starbucks for me😁
Cute coffee house with staples as well as seasonal offerings.
Always a treat to come here! Friendly service and the pastries are excellent!
Welcoming environment with a nice vibe and selection of coffees.
Very nice place to hangout and do some work
Drinks were overpriced. Coffee not my favorite.
Small, but really comfortable.
Absolutely delicious, a must go to
Clean, friendly, great music and great drinks.
Loved the Blueberry Vanilla latte
Could have better coffee
