Went here with my Dodge, they ran their diagnostics tool bc my check engine light was on, they said it was a transmission type sensor that needed to be replaced that would cost $3k to fix. Had me fill the papers and schedule for the next day. I felt a little hesitant so to my brothers suggestion I took it to Swantys and they ran their diagnostics tool. It ended up just being a spark plug, the coil and something else with the sparkplug that needed replacing. Cost $200 with my warranty.I hear from some that AATCO is really good and others not so much and with my experience I felt I was getting scammed. I dont know if it was intentional but at least take it into consideration to always get a second opinion on your vehicle. Swantys service center informed me they diagnose the problem for you after their diagnostics reader tells them, where as AATCO never did they simply ran their tool and went with what came up. Just be careful and wary and go in with some knowledge no matter where it is.The staff was nice enough at AATCO while I was there and during the brief discussion we had but overall disappointed.

BE AWARE: like any repair shop they will try to upsell you 100%. Their AC parts failed within a day, and blamed US for the fault. We were given a lot of attitude, and a lot of unprofessionalism. It was very uncomfortable the whole time. Luckily they decided that it was the parts that actually failed, and warrantied it, but took 3 days to do it, when the initial repair only took half a day. It seemed like the install was not done correctly. We werent ever given an apology, not that I wanted one. They also tried upselling us 3 different times, and made several remarks about how we didnt do their upsells because we couldnt afford it. What??? When we opened the trunk of the car we found the plastic guard from under the car was just ripped off and left there. They didnt even tell us about it! So if you want your car to maybe be repaired for a lot of money, a lot of hassle, a lot of unprofessionalism, and parts just ripped off and left in your truck. go here. Well NEVER go back.

We thought our transmission was out and drove to this place from Oatman. Skippy had us in and looked at it right away. Didn’t complain about having to pick our car up late because of ride issues.It wasn’t a transmission issue. Skippy told us the issue and never charged us anything. Amazing, honest and trustworthy. We know how to get the car fixed, Akippy just couldn’t do it because they do transmission only!Would recommend again!

We were traveling into town for my daughters softball tournament towing our travel trailer when my 2001 F-350 started having some trans issues. As a repair shop owner myself I new I needed to drop the pan and see what was going on. I looked up local trans repair and found AATCO . I spoke with Skippy and let him know my situation, he informed me they were busy that day 12/11/20, I explained to him we were traveling from out of town and what I needed. He was able to fit me in and get it looked at. When I arrived as was very pleased to see a CLEAN SHOP . You can tell a lot about a place just by how the service area looks. SKIPPY got my truck in right away we scanned for any fault codes and then dropped the pan for inspection. Bummer for me the transmission was on the way out, They replaced the filter at me request and re installed the pan, All for under 120.00. Skippy and the guys at AATCO are top notch. I would recommend them to anyone having issues in the Bullhead area. Thank you again SKIPPY.

Called ahead and got an estimate on carburetor rebuild labor. Dropped off carburetor, next day they called to tell me that labor would be $100 more than quoted the day before. No good reason, they just make it up as they go. New carburetor is less than their rebuild price. Oh and 100% markup on parts. Really!!!! Wont be doing business here.

Skippy was amazing, identified the issue in minutes. Replaced the cable and didnt want any money! He said too many places would have overcharged. I will go back and recommend this place!

I would not recommend this place. One star is pretty generous, but google won’t let me go any lower sadly. Theres some weirdo who works there named Skippy. Very unhygienic guy. His nickname around town is Slippin Skippy. Literally. They call him that because if you bring you’re vehicle in for any issue no matter what it is, the next day you’re transmission will start to slip. I’ve lived in Bullhead City for over 20 years and I’ve heard this story from over 5 different people. Be cautious fellow Arizonians.

Best diagnostic services and expedient repairs at very reasonable prices. Pleasant experience all around honest mechanics are a rare commodity. This shop is loaded with well experienced knowledgeable technicians. After all my years in automotive repair and service I trust them very much.

The mechanics need to get replaced.. My daughter went in she was charged 800 total for fuel injector and fuel pump when she left shop down the street trucked leaked all of the gas. She called them back and they gave an attitude and told her it wasnt their fault mechanic took her reciept and basically told her if she wants it fixed it will cost more..I recommended her their and now i regret it.. Very upset my daughter will not pay them the 200 she owes and i hope he takes her to court like he said her truck will be his i dont think so. Now my daughters truck is parked when it was running before they touched it..Very disappointed especially times like these when money is tight. Dont take advantage of locals..I regret sending everyone i know there.

AC was barely working. These guys fixed it up in a few hours. And under $100, seriously cheap, but quality work. Great job Guys!

Best Transmission and Brake Shop. Very honest and they dont over charge. I went to two well known shops in Las Vegas area and was quoted $500 to $1700. to get same work plus some I didnt even need. However Joe and Treant were wonderful they said bring it in and we will check it out. They kept to their quoted prices and said my truck was good. Best in town, if you want a good mechanic I recommend them. We dont live here we are traveling and they helped us get out of heat. Thanks Guys!

Came in expecting at minimum a transmission flush, or at most a rebuild for my slipping transmission. Skippy test drove it, diagnosed the problem on the spot, and had me on my way trouble free. Will recommend for all, and will return for any services.

My husband took his 94 Mazda B2300 to 3 other shops in BHC before he found this shop. The owner is an expert on Ford Rangers and actually has the diagnostic equipment to work on older vehicles. The problem was diagnosed and fixed with minimal time and cost. Go here if you want friendly, expert, reliable service.

They beef up your old transmission with modern thicker titanium bands, with 1 year warranty.

Do NOT go to this auto shop. They will replace parts without permission or even giving you courtesy call. They will rip you off if you dont know what is going on. They will disagree what you say that you actually do need,(for the most part) serpentine belt really $62??? I got it for $31 at the same place they did (if you can read a diagram you can put it on with no problem!!!) I would never recommend this shop even if was the last shop on the face of this Earth!

On the way through town the transmission in our Dodge Dually went out. Had the truck towed to AATCO. Very nice folks, although the seem to lack real experience. I said yes to their proposal to rebuild my transmission which they were able to turn around in 1 day. Almost immediately after leaving the shop I noticed that something wasn’t right. Long story short, just two weeks after their rebuild, the transmission failed again, this time in Oregon. I took it to a nationally know transmission specialist who ordered a new rebuilt transmission. When they took out the failed Transmission they found that AATCO had installed the incorrect torque converter and a faulty governor which resulted in no first gear and an over heated tranny among other things.AATCO was unable to honor their warrantee as they are not part of any national network, so the only way they could repair was if I had it towed from OR to AZ...at this point I’m out 3400 bucks as they will not provide a refund. Disappointed. Would recommend the dealer or a national brand that can honor warrantees through other shops.

Skippy was very professional and kind receiving us after we were towed from the middle of nowhere to get the Transmission of our 3500 Commons truck fixed. Well, he took it out and rebuild it, but after only a few days we encountered problems. We called him up and he suggested that we needed to make sure that the cooling system was flushed out. Well who is the expert here and why did he not do this when he rebuild the trani so we would not have any issues. He suggested coming by the shop (about 300 miles south and away from our home on a weekend) to have it looked at to get it fixed. We drove home and my husband took our truck and camper all the way to Seattle where the transmission went out again! Yes, two weeks later. The repair was for sure costly (over $3K). We learned that we never had a 1. gear and that the clutch burned through. AATCO will not honor his work. He suggested to have the trani taken out, ship to his shop (of course it is a round trip of $1200 just for shipping it back to the northwest. We have to pay somebody to take it out and put it back in.... really Skippy for your half ass job we have to pay double.DO NOT TRUST AATCO TO DO A GOOD JOB. They might be good for small stuff.

My transmission was not working right so I put in a call in to AATCO transmission to have them look and let me know what the problem was, Skippy was the guy who looked at my care and said it was just low on fluid . it was such a great relief for me I almost cried . He was a very nice young man and so were the rest of the crew working today . I will definitely go back to them for further repairs when needed .

These men do not know what the hell they are doing point blank very rude when on phone beats around the Bush when you want to know what theyve done but they wont tell you they dont fix youre ride period these men are not good at anything dont take youre ride there if you want it to live longer than a week

Not cutomer FRIENDLY what so ever, they tried to raised the price last second and we called them out for the price raise and the mannager starts to throw f bombs, told me to leave the place even know i was right in the first place. After we payed them theyre mannerger went outside to argue with us even more almost ended up in a fight. NOT RECOMMENDED ITS A SCAM. And the guy Jeef think he is somehow above everybody else.
