I came here for an eye exam. Due to a promotion and it was very affordable. I had broke both of my glasses and it was time for a new exam. The doctor knew I was getting glasses and gave me a contact lens exam too. Mind you! The promotion was for an eye exam only! He did it without my knowledge . So when it came around to paying he try to charge me for a contact exam when I came to buy glasses only! Never again! He really tried to play me because I received a discount. CROOKS!! did I pay for the other exam. Yes I did because he was really arguing with me about it but they will never get my service again.
Dr? Thomas is about the best optometrist Ive every seen. I really like him.
I find working with the ladies to purchase glasses to be a very pleasant experience. Have purchased for myself and am now doing so for my daughter. The experience is that they are extremely helpful and very customer oriented.
This place used to have the best Doctor, Dr. Minty Nguyen but she is gone and has been replaced by someone who doesnt work weekends or retail hours. Newsflash....this store is in a MALL and most customers come on weekends!! I was on a waiting list for three weeks only to be told Oh he wont be coming in that Saturday Good luck with getting an eye exam here ....EVER!!
This place has definitely gone down hill. I have sent my mother to this location for many years with no issues they have always been really helpful. She recently went in to have her glasses looked at and the two women working pretty much didnt wanted to deal with her because she speaks very little English. I will definitely make sure we take our business elsewhere. They couldnt even give her 5 minutes of their time to look at her glasses to see the problem and just accused her of taking her glasses off with one hand.
Let me just say I love shopping at Jc Penny but their optical center is BAD. Slow service EVERY TIME and bad customer service. The employees never seem to smile or acknowledge your presence kindly. We have had MUCH better service at Walmart Vision center.
Dr. Minty Nguyen was much better and relaxed. She was easy to talk to and never felt uncomfortable with her. She figured out the problem calmly and didnt make the customer feel stressed. She also was very friendly and made sure her customer was relaxed also. All my family went to her and never had complains. She is an amazing doctor, and it was obvious that her job was something she truly cared for and was passionate about. I wont be coming back until she is. The new doctor is very stressed and made me stressed also, I had a problem with my prescription and was hoping he could help me without making me feel under pressure; however he got very frustrated easily and seemed to not wanna deal with me because my eyes were getting extremely tired and red and wasnt able to give constant answers. Maybe it was just his bad day, but it was unprofessional the way the way he spoke to me and his tone of voice. I walked out calmly to get a refund for the glasses because it wasnt worth it at this point
I bought 2 pairs of glasses last year. I brought in my own prescription but no doctors around to help with any concerns or how my new glasses fit! The customer service has no clue about eyewear and it took 8 weeks for my glasses they messed my order up. Also Im a cardholder so wheres my perks? None ! Jcpenny has gone downhill on everything!!!!1
This place is terrible. They take your money and not give you your things. They loose your contacts and glasses. They say “i will have to order them again. Three weeks later, they say once again I lost them.” There attitudes are soooo negative.
Ever since Dr Nguyen left, this place is pathetic. The doctor works literally TWO DAYS A WEEK - Monday and Wednesday, 11-4 according to the staff. Even the staff is visibly disgusted by the new doctor and lack of presence. Youre a retail location in a mall. The whole reason people come here is for convenience. This ghost doctor with minimal hours is absurd, and makes this location completely pointless. Hate it for the couple of people Ive dealt with there, they are great and I feel bad that theyre now suffering the wrath of the public for this pathetic excuse for a replacement doctor.Wake up, Penney - youre screwing up yet again on this. Dr Nguyen was one of the most pleasant, helpful, caring optometrists Ive ever had the pleasure of seeing and the support staff was phenomenal. Now their hands are tied, making them basically worthless and unable to help, and the docs clearly not in it for the patients.
The worst customer service Ive ever had! I was told my glasses would be here in a week not only did I pay extra to receive them early but they still took two weeks! I had to call them almost everyday to find out a status update! Finally Friday two weeks after I called and Im told oh your glasses got here yesterday! However we close in 30 mins seriously?! Never again!
Gave a great price when i first bought them had to wait two weeks but service to get repairs..forget it they want to sell you a new pair for a simple repair which they are not interested in doing
First visit and I was very pleased he answered all my questions and I walked out happy!
Not recommended. It took six weeks for my glasses to come in. An anomaly? No. A friend of mine was without his only pair of glasses for the same length of time just waiting for new lenses to be put in. We were both told that our glasses had failed quality inspections and had to be redone, but a different employee alluded to a mix-up with paperwork and shipping; it sounds like the glasses werent even ordered when they said they were. One of the employees bent my current pair of glasses, purchased elsewhere and worn comfortably for years, stating that whoever fit them for me did it wrong. Theyve not been comfortable since. The doctor rushed me through my first visit and, when my glasses finally came in, I found the prescription unbearable and had to really push to get it adjusted; I was told I just had to deal with them for a few days to adjust, but the variance between my two eyes was so great it was sickening (my eyes are very different from each other and I didnt wear glasses until about five years ago. The first optometrist I went to understood this and balanced my first pair of glasses beautifully). The adjusted prescription is still too strong and Im going to have to go elsewhere and purchase another pair of glasses because these are worthless.
Unprofessional.
