My father in law was an avid HO collector. When he passed away no one could figure out what to do with his collection. I gathered the entire collection into 16 different boxes, and put all units back into their original boxes (which he still had). Trainz was the most responsive of the wholesale buyers I offered the collection to. The price was acceptable although not generous based on purchase price of the items, many of which were new and in original packaging. The communication with the staff was excellent and helped me make my choice of selling my trains to them or putting them on consignment. The free pickup was helpful for the large quantity that I was selling. They explained that they would pick up after they had reduced their inventory so space was available for a new selection. They provided 50% of the sales price when picked up and 50% a month after the trains had been inventoried. I might have liked the money sooner, but it was not a real problem.
