I have been to the store in Buford, GA. a couple of times and have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and well organized. The store is 20 miles away through mostly heavily congested areas so I placed an order for some boat trailer parts online. They arrived faster than I thought they would and met my expectations. Im kind of glad the store is some distance away because if it werent I would probably be there every other day and my wallet couldnt afford it.

I came in for a Milwaukee tool and thankfully they had it in stock. The associates there are so friendly and willing to help. The store was clean and had items I didn’t know they had. I will 100% come back!

Chat help was great when finding out information about the product. Sadly the second chat did not go as well because the next person could not understand my question. On line one item was not available at the location I was e-shopping. When I asked if the product could be pulled and shipped, she kept saying we could go to that store and pick up the product. We live in Athens and at this time do NOT want to drive to the Atlanta area (post Thanksgiving). Otherwise I love shopping with Northern Tool.

I have been looking for a decent kerosene heater at shops around Gainesville. Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, Lowe’s and Home Depot are all within 8 miles of my house and they have decent heaters for great deals right now but all of the heaters are made over seas. Northern Tool is getting my business because they sell American made heaters.I have to drive 17 miles and pay $20 more, but it is worth supporting American jobs. Thank you for selling American Northern Tool :)

Recently started shopping Northern Tool and more specifically the Buford, GA location. Pleasantly surprised at the price and customer service of this company that is just down the road from our own home decor shop. Have gone back 2 or 3 times in the last week since my initial purchase and imagine it will be a go-to for our companies tool and supply needs going forward.

Went in for some automotive items. They didnt have everything I needed, but they do have a different selection than what you might find at other outlets (harbor freight, HD, Lowes, etc).The moral of the story is that if you think the store you frequent doesnt quite have what youre looking for, try somewhere else.Northern Tools is very similar to a tractor supply (things tend to hear towards the farm mindset for selections)... If you want big tools, this is one of the places to stop.

Had to wait while cashier spoke tried to explain procedure to a man who was having trouble understanding. I was just picking up an online order. Would like to see someone available for these kinds of pick ups without having to wait while a cashier spend an unacceptable amount of time dealing with a return.

I try to go by the store when in the area. I live too far away to go more frequently. I find there are many items at reduced prices. Recently I have had to order some things online and have them shipped to the house. I do enjoy going to the store when I go to Buford.

I was looking for hydraulic hose and fittings, went to 2 tractor supply stores and struck out..went to northern tool and found everything I needed

Online inventory is wrong. No help from the employee. Went there to buy a safety jacket, showed that 5 in stock, but none in the store, looked even in a different size, it shows they have 2 but none in the store. I ask the employee and she just said. Yeah, we dont have any. No other information or help if they get any or any other customer service. So that will be the first and last time I set foot in this store. Well, I guess I just order it from Amazon.

Terrible customer service every time I deal with this store. Stock levels online are a lie they never have the items that show online. Calling and asking is no help either. Store employees could care less about helping you. Always a hassle to shop here.

I call the store to see if they have the two power tools I need. The woman working that day puts me on hold to verify that they have the first tool. She tells me there isn’t any in stock. Online it is showing 3 at the Buford store. For the second tool she tells me it’s showing 2 in the system. So why would anyone drive to this store and waste their time if the inventory isn’t correct? Or is the inventory correct and the employee is the problem? I don’t want to gamble on a wasted trip. I’ll just spend that $400 elsewhere.

Please, Please dont ever take anything to Northern Tool to be worked on. They worked on my power washer and it still will not work right. The water comes out hotter than fire! Come to find out they never put any oil in it, they did not oil the washer pump. I even gave them two containers of oil to use! They said I needed a new carberator but the gas tank is dry. How can you say I need a new carberator without an attempt to start the thing with gas. They said they charge 35.00 an hr. Instead it is 75.00 an hour.I have never experienced such poor, unprofessional service. I will make it a point to share my experience with all who will listen.

Worthless customer service. I just needed a SAE socket, made it a journey of a life time. I can see why the brand is going down hill

Ordered something online and was super excited to get it, cost almost 200$ when it arrived it was the wrong thing. Called the store and they said I needed a return number and then I could switch it out for the correct item. Called to get a return number and the awful woman I spoke to wouldn’t listen to what I was saying, kept repeating a script told me I couldn’t return due to covid19 and that it couldn’t have been their fault. Don’t buy anything here, just go somewhere people are nice and aren’t the rudest most condescending people you’ll ever meet.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Fair prices, they always have some coupons floating around so keep your eye out. They sometimes have better prices online so always double check. They have a decent selection in-store but a great selection online. I would recommend giving them a shot.

As many items I buy that warranty is likebifvyou dont hold on to your receipt they keep all that money very unprofessional I buy cause the best the competition but as far as backing up the product theyre terrible I f only buy one I need it two one day someone else will be more responsible and thats when they loose Customers like in Dacula noew tractor trailer and harbor freight are in next to Lowes and home depot they wont last if they dont change theyre Customer responsabilities...

You need to be careful because Northern Tool is largely about the cheap Chinese version of things so many of the tools youd get here are not lifetime use tools. That being said many of the prices are exceptional! As with anything Id always suggest shopping around as well as assessing the value of a cheap tool over a quality tool (I personally do not buy tools here). There are dozens of other useful products available at Northern Tool and I love the place for what it is!

I wanted a heater that was on sale and it was the last day of the sale. I had live chatted the day before and was told that the heater was in stock and I confirmed the day that I went before taking off for the 40 min.drive. Long story short I was fortunate an employee had one that she was returning that day because they did not have that heater in stock. Two gentlemen that were stocking were so helpful and looked everywhere and were calling trying to find the heater for me. The two girls up front were super sweet . It was an all around great customer experience that you rarely get anymore.

I want to thank José for being so helpful when I came in to look for firebricks that were out away in storage. He took the time to help me find the firebricks and I greatly appreciate it. That is real customer service.

Customer service is terrible. We bought a 70” truck bed box and when the employee brought it out proceeded not to strap it to the dolly and it fell over on the curb. It was damaged and we wanted to return it and order another one. Instead of helping us they didn’t own up to the situation and tried to hurry us out of the store without our receipt or just trying to rectify the situation.I took care of it myself and the online customer service was great Alan was very nice and helpful but this location is a MESS and 3/4 employees I met were pretty rude. Store is fine but hopefully you don’t need help with anything because they can’t handle that.

I bought a pair of your Gravel Gear steel toe Wellington boots. They cost me over $100. Now I see there on sale for less than $55. After I purchased them I was happy but in less than 2 months both boots blew out at the vertical seams on the sides. Ive had cheap Wal-Mart boots last longer. Ill never buy boots from you again.

One of my favorite stores. They dont have near the selection of their now closed Duluth location or harbor freight tools does but theyre helpful and the cashiers are great and honor their website pricing (which is often lower so beware) and coupons.

Hit and miss with customer service. Comparing prices on my first trip received no help or even a hello when arriving in the store.Second trip was helped by an employee (a guy around 17 or 18, not a mgr, who went the extra step to help me decide between two products I was unsure of. Checkout was very smooth, the cashier who rang us was extremely nice and she kept a smile on and thanked us for our business when we were leaving.

Misleading stock information and the manager was rude with an uncaring attitude. Online said the store had 3 trailers and their inventory showed the same but the manager gets an attitude when asked to help find the product. Tractor supply might be more expensive but the product and customer service is 10x better.

This Northern Tool is a much smaller location. Theres a giant hardware store across the street with better prices.
