These two meals i had at two separate times. These were both amazing. The fish fry was amazing with the homemade Mac and cheese and greens. The ribs were also very tasty and had a perfect smoked flavor. The corn bread was a perfect addition to the meal and was one of the best. Loved the sweet potatoes too. Recommend everyone to try the food there.

Call in advance cause it will take some time, but once you get your food, it would have been worth it!

I had a fish dinner it was good and the Price was right. I just wish they phases out macaroni Salad in favor of Greens or Mac and cheese. That steak sandwich is the best in the business. I havent had a steak sandwich like that since Scotties. I think they called their sauce the come back sauce ; that I definitely will do.

Overall the food is good when they finally get your order right. I was told by my girlfriend to check my order before I leave because they ALWAYS forget something. And she was correct. They forgot to add my grits, and I asked for wheat toast & got white toast & the cook tried to convince me that it was wheat(smh). And I asked for double cheese eggs & had to complain that it was only a single order. I can honestly say that is one black business that I cannot support in the ghetto.

I love this place, & the food is great💪 the people who run this is good people. And if you havent ate here i would advice you to hurry up and get down there asap. I eat here a few times a week some times excellent food ..

Best fish fry in the city. Get the combo with hush puppies and shrimp. Nothing better. Warm friendly service. Especially on a busy Friday.

I placed a small order for fried chicken and Mac and cheese. The description said three pieces of chicken. What I received was one whole wing. I spoke to the representative at the restaurant and was told the wing was three pieces due to the three segments. The tail of the wing isnt even edible. They wouldnt refund my money and I will never order form there again. The only reason they got two stars is because the food is pretty tasty. Did I mention the one wing was two bucks? My advice if you do get the chicken do yourself a favor and get more than one order.

I ordered the chicken and waffles & it was delicious, nicely fried chicken and a good homemade waffle. It did take some time but def worth the wait. Will absolutely go there again & excited to try dinner.

First of all lose the flip mouth older woman working the register. I ordered a fish and grits breakfast spoonful of grits mind you, anyway she says all we have is white bread and we really dont have to give you that cause it dont come with bread Im like excuse me... I like my food without attitude..... other than that the fish was thin but tasted great.

The worker that greeted us was friendly.We came in for lunch at 12:50 pm yesterday..No ribs, didnt know when she would have them..The person that cooks ribs didnt show up and had no idea when he wouldWe were asked to call late in the afternoon to confirm that ribs in fact were made.The enterance from the street to the resturant did not have a clean path.

This place definitely hit the spot. Me and my dad both order steak hoagies, and it was soo damn delicious. The guy who took our order, on down to the woman who made our food was super nice. I will be coming back sooner than later.

Man listen. I eat here all the time. But I used them on skip the dishes because I wasnt feeling good and wanted a Buffalo Cheese Steak. Man when my Hoagy got here I had to call the store and say... MAN THANK YOU FOR MY FOOD 😂😂😂😂 Oh my God it was delicious. I turned right around and ordered a ribbon dinner for a friend in the Perrys she called me and said MAN THIS SOME GOOD GOT DAMN FOOD!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Somebody go lol!!! Get there and EAT!!!

Tonight i went to The Fire Spot for some food due to it being at the corner of my street and i am in too much pain to cook. I walk into to restaurant and approach the counter and order 1 steak hoagie, 1 chicken hoagie, and 4 pastelillos (pre made of course) at 7:13 pm order number 12.As time goes by i wait at a table as i am hearing the orders before me get served. So i am ready to get my food and go home as my head is pounding. I hear the owner call out order 11 and ask me what mine is and the girl behind me she was 13. I tell him and i get up in anticipation of getting my order next. As i watch the lady bag up a steak hoagie and a bag what i assume is a side, i think this is mine. i approach the counter and she says no this is his (a gentleman that order two orders after me). i paid it no mind due to some orders can be made easier and out faster. That is when order 13 was called! I questioned her and said How can she get her food before me? She then lied and said she order before you. I said No she did not, to her reply she said Oh yours is coming now. The time now 7:53 pm, and i am livid. So i kindly ask for my money back. The owner comes to the counter and says that because i order a chicken hoagie it takes longer and cooked on a different grill. Now with me being in Food Service for over 10 years and being a cook myself, also being in Customer service for the rest of my working career, i know how things work. So when i proceeded to explain when two sandwiches come out before my two, something is wrong. This is where the reason for this post comes in. The owner then says that Black People always want stuff! (HIM BEING BLACK HIMSELF!) I instantly jump on this and say it has nothing to do with being black, it is about customer service! I then tell him that i have been in food service for sometime and he proceeds to call me a liar! As i try to explain his fault, he thought i wanted to argue. I asked to have a conversation, and he declined. he then gave me my money back which was a dollar short and i had to correct him. As i was leaving he screamed out Black People and i told him dont get it twisted it has nothing to do with Race! Learn Customer/Food Service then you will understand. He said something else as i left.My thing is, if i am supporting black owned businesses, and the service isnt right, you expect to just say nothing cause you are BLACK? HELL NO! I have way too much intelligence for you to treat anyway cause i am black. Also for him to pull the RACE CARD is Disrespectful and Ignorant. I pointed out a flaw and you are mad about it. Fine. But dont make it a Black Thing! Needless to say i wont be back, and me being a cook and worked under several well known chefs, i will not recommend at all. Thank you for reading.

I ordered from them through skip the dishes and they forgot one of my items. I called to inquire about it and Ernestine straight said that I was lying and when I asked to speak to a manager, she said no! Will NEVER order from them again!

Very disappointed. After waiting over 2 hours, the Mac and cheese barely had any noodles in it, way too much cheese, and was cold. The yams were hard and unflavored, corn bread was hard, and the chicken was over cooked with no flavor. Wont be back.

Called ahead came 30 minutes later and waited over 25 minutes for my food the grits were lumpy as hell and flavor less and they had no tartar sauce for the fish ! Also I asked for no cheese in my eggs and there was cheese
