I have come here several times for my tattoos. The most recent done today was my biggest and longest one to date. It was also done on my leg, which Ive never had one done there before.Jeff was my artist. He was super polite and extremely professional. I had to occupy myself during the tattooing process (this one took a couple hours because of it was large) and he was very willing to talk to me about a wide range of subjects. When I needed a break he accommodated.The experience was awesome, the environment was clean, COVID protocols were followed and I have absolutely no negative things to say.

I get all my piercings from Jeff. He is very polite and professional. He asks all the right questions....and makes sure the marking is where you want it. I highly recommend Jeff!

I was very satisfied with the service I received here. I’d previously experienced very bad customer service at gray havens and I was so disappointed. I called Renassiance tattoo and they got back to me quickly regarding available times for an appointment and pricing. They were very up front and nice. My tattoo artist was billy and was a really nice guy. He gave his input and suggestions and was more than happy to fix the tattoo I had gotten at gray havens a few weeks prior. I will definitely be getting my next tattoo at Renassiance custom tattoo!! Their pricing was very reasonable and the tattoo healed beautifully! Jeff is by far the most professional, and talented artists I’ve done business with in Buffalo. He has decades of experience and actually cares about the art he does. All of the staff at Ren. are welcoming. All COVID protocols are followed to the letter.

Worst workers ever! One was smoking, and they refused to give a refund. Asked for a refund and the worker kept going in and coming out every TEN minutes later and saying “you have to wait.” He refused to give the refund, saying he busy with another client, we came on time and they finally pierced our nose about 20 minutes after our appointment!!! Please, if anything, let this be the last place you come. The piercer was a nice guy, but the other two, uh uh hun, they gotta go. So unprofessional! And when they slammed the door, disgusting!

This was possibly one of the WORST and SCARIEST experiences getting pierced I have EVER HAD.I have been here before- it is the parlor where I got my first tattoo at (done by Tom Latona) and have sent all my friends to ever since.I will probably never be going back here again after today, being pierced by Jeff (light colored eyes, tattooed eyebrows and a beard).I was getting a birthday gift from a roommate- two piercings. One was a third lobe piercing on my right, the left was an elf-styled cartilage. As you can see in the pictures, both did not turn out well. I felt him catch, nicked and bled the shell of my ear while piercing my cartilage, all the while saying he wasnt comfortable piercing from that side and refusing to move around or have me adjust to a better position. He ended up taking a small chunk out of my ear next to the piercing itself, and then immediately began to blame my hair for being in the way.The lobe. Dont even get me started on the lobe.I had said from the beginning I was getting my third lobe piercing on my right. Third. As in 1, then 2, then 3.For some reason, this was a confusing concept to Jeff. At first, the dot he drew was somehow between my first two piercings? A little bit higher than both of them- not even in line. Confused, I asked him to redraw it, and he commented oh so you want it really basic. A little offensive, but no worries. I did just want a standard third piercing there.Then he began commenting that it looked like I already had a mark there that looked like a previous piercing. I agreed- the bend in my ear where I ideally wanted to place my third piercing did kind of look like the right shaped indent. You can check the pics.These should have been red flags. So should the fact that he didnt redraw the dot. He says were just going to go for mark. Knowing it was closing time and not wanting to be a picky or rude customer, I agree. Go for it, were my words exactly.My worst mistake ever.There is no way you can mess up that badly. I was not allowed a good look at the lobe, but the cartilage seemed passable. I tipped well- 10$ for 2 piercings, and leftI got in the car, saw a mirror, and cried. I didnt know how anyone could have misunderstood THAT BADLY- the appointment had been made for a cartilege and third piercing. I had showed him the spot multiple times. I had said third lobe piercing so many times that there was no way to mishear me. He had not just messed up the alignment, he had pierced crosswise over my already existing second lobe piercing. I can no longer wear second piercings at all in that ear until it is healed.I called back, knowing it had to come out. He remembered me of course- it had barely been ten minutes. I just wanted him to take out the lobe piercing- after taking a chunk out of my cartilage, I didnt want to try a repierce on even more pressed time.I go in and try to explain myself, apologizing for the trouble, insisting I didnt need the repierce, just help me remove the lobe piercing and Id be on my way, no refund necessary.He began yelling at me, telling me I had not communicated correctly and now I was trying to blame him!I had not issued blame. Even though it couldnt have been anyone elses, I did not once express being upset, other than the fact that I wanted the lobe piercing out.He rips off his face mask, getting louder, now screaming at me in a store that all the other piercers have left. I panic. I cannot explain myself over this man who is suddenly very angry over a piercing that I have just cried about in the car. I try to get out, the door is locked. He wont let me out of the door and he is still yelling even as I tell him Nevermind, never mind! I just want to leave!I got out. I ran back to the car.I will never. Ever. EVER go back.Dont go here for piercings.If you go here at all, Tom Latona is the only decent person I have met. He does great tattoos.Dont go for piercings. Dont go towards the end of the day, for SURE.And whatever you do, do NOT go to Jeff. Dont.

Very patient, funny, cool, his work its amazing, my piece is not done and I cant wait to go back for more. I almost dont want to give him a good review because then youll all go to him and he wont have the availability I need!Butttttt major props to this man, his work is simply amazing!

Me and my friends called to see if they were able to take walk-ins. We spoke to Conor and he told us he was busy at the moment but would call us at his first opening and he did just that. When we arrived to get our tattoos Conor was able to draw something up for us and do our tattoos right away. He was cool to talk to and quick. His work is amazing! Definitely recommend this place!

Steve is a great guy! He was wonderful while I was getting my first tattoo ever. He was funny and talkative. The place was pristine! The prices were affordable and overall I had a great experience.

I have gotten several tattoos at renaissance over the past few years and I always have a good experience. The artists are both talented and professional. I have brought in specific designs and got an exact replica. And other times came in with just an idea, and Josh created a perfect custom design, it was exactly what I wanted. I always get compliments on my tattoos from renaissance, I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Got my 4th Tattoo from Billy on 4/13 and I am super happy with how its progressing! They ask for appointments but their waiting list usually isnt that long, about 2 weeks. Steve Myers does great work. Love going back. Have referred him to my friends and they all love him.

This place is one of my go-to places when I want to get a tattoo. I had one done by Josh I believe his name was and it did take a little longer than usual I will have to say he did do a good job

Made an appointment with Conor, showed him a image of an idea I wanted. He drew it up himself, making it 100% original and it was 100% better than I could of ever imagined. When the tattoo was done it was even 100% better than it looked on the sketch. The detail he put in it was unbelievable, will defiantly be going to see him again! Hes fantastic!!!!

Got my first tattoo here. Didnt take any prior appointment. just walked inshop is clean. artists are good. He clearly told what he is doing step by step and handed a care sheet after the tattoo is done. Overall good experience!

The tattoo shop is clean and very niceBut the tattoo artist Steve has a very nasty attitude never finished my tattoo stops and million and one times during tattooing session to smoke cigarettes meanwhile they charge a 100. by the hour I paid 350. For an unfinished piece now going on two month its still not finished and he said he would give me back 200 that Friday its now going on 3 weeks and is refusing to give me my money back and wont take my calls Ill be taking him to court 💁🏽 And I only gave it a start to post review

Going to get most of my tattoos from this shop. Super clean. All the guys are really nice and they work with you to create a tattoo that you will really love.

The artist was talented, but unprofessional in my opinion. My husband and I paid a large down payment to schedule our appointment and he overbooked and tried to cancel 15 mins before our schedule time. We both work and are parents so that was the point of scheduling a time when we are both off along with getting a babysitter. Then when I told him to just refund me the money, he rushed the college girls out of the office to start our tattoos. It was an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. Lastly, he charged us $50 more than our agreed amount. Why should we pay him more for our inconvenience! If he had at least done the agreed amount, I was planning to tip him for being there late. I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THAT ARTIST AGAIN

Walked in without an appointment and Conor went right to work with drawing up something for me. Absolutely in love with my newest tattoo. Will definately be coming back again to get work done with Conor

Ive had Steve Myers at Renaissance Tattoo do my first two tattoos and just referred him to my friend. He is a true professional and really knows how to give the customer what they want. I will for sure be back, and Steve will be my first choice for all of my future tattoos.

This place looked great from the outside, so I went in to design my first tattoo. I was really nervous and had a lot of questions and the guy I spoke with was okay, but a little bland (not really into the conversation). Theres a woman there thats really snarky and has a bad attitude and always made me uncomfortable to go in. Well, the guy said hed draw up a design and e-mail it to me in a few days. After a week, I went back to inquire. He was in the middle of a tattoo, but said hed call later in the afternoon to discuss the plan. He never called and never e-mailed.So its very important to be to have professional artists and a good, friendly feel. I dont know how their actual work is, but just be prepared for some unprofessional attitudes!
