Im very impressed with this independently owned salon! The owners, Erin & Kenny, are both super nice and accommodating. They spray and wipe down the tanning beds right before you go in, so you know the bed has actually been cleaned. Since moving to their new location, theyve expanded from just offering tanning to include some new salon services, too.Please note:The location for Allen Tan on Google Maps is incorrect. The entrance is actually on Amherst St, in a stand-alone building next to The Phoenix restaurant (not in some back corner of a lot like the map shows). As for parking, if you are facing the entrance to Allen Tan, their lot is to the right.

The owners are absolutely amazing. Youre treated like family from your 1st visit. The beds (yes they actually have beds) and booths are always up to par and properly cleaned. 5 stars all day long!

In general I am pleased with the tan, and especially the color. However, I did not expect it to have such a strong smell for 2 days. I had asked if there was a smell and I was told there is a pineapple scent to it. I did not detect it. It was just a strong self tanner smell. I had asked whether or not swimming in an indoor pool would affect the tan, and was told no, as long as I moisturize. I was going on a romantic weekendand and was frustrated with trying to dissipate the odor. Not exactly conducive to romance.If you are planning on doing something like that, do it a few days before. I made the mistake of doing it the day before but did not expect it to have a smell even after I showered a few times. Waiting 8 hours for it to develop was somewhat unpleasant.prepare to slather the bottom of your feet with a lot of lotion, dont worry about slipping because in the beginning you wear foot covers. I would suggest that after the tanning is done, they should wash the floor and that spot before you take your foot covers off for your feet to be sprayed, or put a small towel down or something. The bottoms of my feet were extremely dark. I brought alcohol to try to quickly remove any spots on my hands or feet, it works fairly well but not as well as a sugar scrub.I slept in it and it made my sheets and blankets smell. I expected my hands and feet to be a bit darker and have that differentiation line between my light edges of my foot and the dark. I think it would look more authentic.The other thing I really didnt like was my underarms. They were fairly dark, and there was a very light oval where I apply my deodorant. I suppose it could be partly because of my age, your arms tend to get crepey and loose, so the skin is a little bit different. I scrubbed it off with a brush with sugar on it, it worked. I would suggest that they spray the person as though they had been lying in the sun, not spraying the underneath or inside of the arm. The underneath of my arms and insides of my arms do not tan as they are not really exposed to the sun, so i did not like the tan there. All in all though ifyou can put up with a couple of inconvenient things the tan looks very nice and its quite even. Also, the experience of getting the tan applied was fine. the girl doing the spraying was very pleasant and very clear about her instructions. Like I said, I really like the tan, it is 5 days since I got the tan and I do like the effect. I mainly got it so that I would not look like a ghost in my two-piece bathing suit.

I premiered within my tanning experience at the turn of the 2017 Winter season. I initially began by purchasing individual sessions as my attendance was sporadic resulting from seasonal procrastination, however, I decided to invest within a monthly package at the start of 2018 utilizing a college student discount card from Grand Canyon University. I am elated from within this monthly package purchase indulged four times each week under the UV lights of the Europa 12 minute maximum time-limit tanning bed. Erin, Allen Tans owner and proprietor, is fulfilled within knowledge and information addressing any tanning inquiry as well as always willing to engage within delightful and fabulous everyday conversation. Erin and Allen Tan are beautiful assests associated within the Elmwood Small Business Owners organization! I am hopeful that Allen Tan shall continue to thrive as a tremendous addition to the Elmwood Village family unit:)

This is a locally owned salon, not a chain corporation, the people there are very friendly and the prices are great especially for students, its real close to the Buff State campus so its very convenient. Comfortable chill atmosphere, and they are not constantly trying to sell you more lotion lol

Sometimes closed 15 minutes before closing. Otherwise, good. Cheap with student discount or groupon.Ive been burned twice by coming in with a fresh winters pallor and going for their recommended time/bed. Thats really on me, though. I should know how much fake sun I can handle. Know thyself, right?Super chill staff.

Just found this amazing locally owned tanning salon. Cant deal with zoom tan and all of their bs.Would advise evreyone to steer clear of zt. This place is super user friendly, great prices very friendly people who take pride in their business. i guess they just relocated and i found them on Amherst St around the corner from buff state.

This salon sucks! I had a month membership for the highest level tanning and severely overpaid. Avoid this place, the atmosphere is trashy, the staff are shady, and the beds are mediocre at best. Save yourself the hassle and go to Zoom Tan. All of these five star reviews are probably employees or else these people have never dealt with a good tanning experience.

Best tanning salon ever! I have been to other salons and I usually dont get any color, I love the tan that I get here and the staff learned my name after just a few visits. Their lotion prices are way better than any place I have ever seen. Im glad I decided to try it out.

Allen Tan Salon has provided me with very friendly and helpful service every time that I have gone in. They do really great deals, and since I utilize the beds on a regular basis, it is worth it! I got a second month free for writing this review!
