Weve gone to Towne for more than 20 years to have our vehicles serviced. Friendly, reliable, quick service and fair prices. We know they will take care of both us and our vehicles, and they dont try to up-sell anything which is especially appreciated. Highly recommend.

I dont know for how many years weve taken our vehicles to Towne Motor Car but we dont need to go anywhere else. They do what is needed, they inform you about what they see, and ask if you if you want to proceed. By that, I mean, my last two repairs were 1) transmission lines needing replacement - I saw the loss of fluid and Towne said it was simply lines, not the whole transmission, 2) brakes - I heard the tell-tale grinding on the rear passenger side. They called to say the front were thin too and asked if I wanted them done now. I knew that the front brakes were at the end of their usefulness before they asked. Trustworthy and quality service!

Originally I took my car to the dealership for service but when the estimate was for more than $5,000 I decided to get another opinion. I found Towne Motor Car and from reading their feedback from previous reviews I decided to give them a call. Not only was their estimate thousands of dollars cheaper but they gave me a priority list of what needed to be done and when. I feel much better about my vehicle after visiting them.

My friend who knows a lot about cars and fixes his own recommended that I go here. It’s where he takes his car.I had an inspection done and everything was good, they just recommended new tires before winter. My second visit was yesterday because something was hanging down under my car. They replaced the eroded holder and put everything right underneath, for $59. Im very pleased with the service!

After a disappointing visit to the dealership Towne Motor Car came highly recommended by a colleague so I requested an appointment online and received a quick reply. Dropped off my car on the way to work and picked it back up before the end of the day. They kept me informed every step of the way and for a fraction of the cost I was quoted elsewhere.

I have been a loyal Towne Motor customer for almost 20 years, having three cars serviced by them. Since Gerry’s retirement and transferring the business over to others to run, the quality and integrity of the workmanship has seriously deteriorated. Their business model is now to improperly install off-market and used parts so that they break quicker, creating other issues with your car that require more visits to repair the work that should have been done correctly in the first place. They also tell you they’re installing parts but actually don’t, again creating additional problems with the car so you have to go back again for them to fix it, if they even do. And when you ask them to repair the work that they created, they tell you “in my 30 years of working in this industry, we would never do….blah, blah, blah”. It’s all smoke and b.s.! If you’re a woman, I would recommend selecting another mechanic – there are plenty of trustworthy and reputable mechanics to choose from in Buffalo. If you have the ability to check the work that they do to your car, I highly recommend it because when challenged about their work they will purposely destroy your car. They certainly have their favorite customers, and for those they don’t like, they will make your life very inconvenient using off-market and used parts that fail before warranty. If only there was a 0 Star rating....

Great place to get your car repaired. You can trust the group of people here. Chris does a great job managing the operation and hes very personable too! They will not take advantage of you! You can trust them 100%!

Significant other had an evap connector replaced. Technician did not shrink the heat shrink wrap around the new wire connections. Wires ended up corroded and needed to be replaced less than a year later. Technician also didnt bother to color coordinate with the original wires. Subpar workmanship.

My husband was absolutely sure that he needed a wheel bearing replaced. He took it to Towne Motor Car. Someone else may have easily charged us hundreds of dollars to fix what wasnt wrong, but they fixed the real problem which was less than $100. Amazing. Highly recommended.

Towne Motor Car is the most honest service I have experienced in Buffalo. I have been a customer for more than 8 years and the service is the best. No one wants to spend money on a vehicle but when you do there is no other place I would choose to do it and when you have a 2003 truck you do have to spend $$ on repairs. I would highly recommend Towne Motor Car to anyone needing automobile repairs in the Buffalo area. They provide the costs for the repairs prior to starting the repair. They let you know what NEEDS to be repaired and what can wait to repair later (if you choose)..

I have taken my car to Towne Motor twice over this past year and they have been the friendliest, most honest, and easiest-to-work with repair shop I have ever been to. I talked to Chris about some electrical issues my car was experiencing on Friday evening and they were able to squeeze me in on Monday morning and have it fixed by the end of the day (just in time for Thanksgiving!). They always thoroughly explain the repair needed and seem to truly care about the quality of their work. I highly recommend you take your car here.

My family has been going to Towne Motor Car for over 13 years. Towne is the most honest mechanic in Buffalo, and they always go the extra mile to provide great service. The quality of the work is top notch and the prices are very reasonable. They get my highest recommendation. If you work downtown they will drive you to work, which makes it really convenient to get your car worked on without having to arrange a ride from a friend.

This garage is great- they give it to you like it is, don’t try to get you to do unnecessary work, and are always competitively priced. Real straight shooters, we’ve taken all of our cars there the past few years for everything.

Ive been going to Towne for about 15 years now and dont plan on ever going anywhere else. When we moved a few years ago to the burbs we thought we would try a garage closer to home and immediately regret it. Its worth the extra miles to know youre getting honest, fast, reasonable, and reliable service from really talented mechanics. Its the only place I recommend to anyone anymore.They have employees that are as loyal as their customers. Says a lot. You cant go wrong with Towne!!

I appreciate that its easy to connect with Towne Motor Car. Theyre incredibly responsive when it comes to their online communications which allows me to provide suggestions for appointments that can be scheduled within 1-2 days of the request. I recently needed to have my car inspected and I requested the appointment on Sunday night for Tuesday morning. I received a note on Monday morning letting me know I could drop it off at 8am. Additionally, I was able to add to services needed in one email. Its also incredibly easy to find and they call quickly to update you on the service and let you know when you can pick it up. Ive had my car in other places where they say itll be a few hours and you have to call at the end of the day to see what happened. This is not the case with Towne Motor. I can always count on them to complete the work within a few hours. Not to mention, theyre not pushy when suggesting other services and theyre upfront with fair and transparent costs. Ive had some frustrating experiences with car dealership service centers where people mark you up for the most expensive service and call it comprehensive but Ive never felt taken advantage of with Towne Motor Car. I will come back here for any service I need in the future.

We came here on a urgent basis this morning and Chris got our car in immediately. After driving across the country from California our VW beetle had the driver-side window stop working and didn’t roll up on a 13F degree day. Never having been a customer Chris didn’t mind and got our car fixed right away so we could get back on the road ASAP! Not only were they extremely kind throughout the entire process, but affordable! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Im new to the Buffalo area, so finding a trusted repair shop was high on my priority list. Im not surprised they have been around over 35 years - Im sure the superior service I received keeps people coming back. From a ride to my downtown workplace, to calls during the day with updates, to suggestions and tips for winter weather, I felt that I was treated like a friend. Good prices, great service, and mechanical expertise will keep me a customer for years to come.

Towne was recommended to us when we moved to Buffalo 12 years ago and we have used them ever since. Top notch staff that we trust to give us the best advice about our cars.

Theyre not necessarily the cheapest option out there, but they are worth every penny. Theyre honest, they do good work, dont push work on you that you dont need, and they have your car ready when they say itll be ready (if not earlier). I dont plan on taking my car anywhere else anytime soon.
