Tom and his crew are the best. Always professional and helpful with their vast insights on car maintenance. I have been bring my car to them for 14 years.
Very thorough, seemingly honest, Excellent repair work. Little pricey but you get what you pay for!
Due to working remotely now, I had to find an automotive repair shop close to my home and am so glad I found Total Automotive. Great service and very reasonable rates, I highly recommend to anyone in the KenTon area! You absolutely will not be disappointed.
These guys are fast, friendly, and fair. Im glad I switched to this place!
Very professional and helpful. Explained exactly what was wrong and offers fair pricing.
Chris was awesome to work with. Extremely quick, friendly, and offered alternatives in order to help me save some money. I will definitely be coming back for any needs in the future. I would highly recommend Total Automotive to anyone in the area.
Excellent customer service. They actually picked up my elderly mothers car from her house, did the inspection, (and replaced a rattling clamp for $3), and dropped the car back to her house, and wiped the car down for her. Payment was super easy as well. Sent me a text with a link, and paid in less than a minute. Chris arranged the whole thing and was an a absolute pleasure to work with. He seemed happy to provide the extraordinary service for her!
Clutch performance! ALL LOVE TO THE FOLKS AT TOTAL AUTO
Chris quotes me $105 for a serpentine belt replacement. Says I’d get a 10% discount as a student. I show up, reconfirm, and now he says 10% on the part only. And then he comes back a while later while I’m sitting, waiting, and tells me the price will be $199 excluding the discount. I remind him of the initial quote and then he insults my intelligence by asking if I’m sure that I didn’t get him mixed up with somebody else. Then he shows me a screen with itemized costs displaying the price of a Dayco replacement belt at around $96 knowing that it’s $40 brand new on the market. It’s a shame to try to prey on students with limited financial means during this COVID-19 era. A shame.
I needed pics of my car for my new insurance company. In order to be insured for collision and comp your insurance company requires current pics and a inspection of your vehicle. I tried to make appointments at two of my carriers preferred locations for this process. No luck at all. The pics and inspection are no cost nor are they paid for their services. So there is no real incentive to comply, although when a repair becomes necessary, the carrier directs you to those repair shops on their list.Well, a gentleman named Chris at Total Automotive was extremely helpful and compliant. Chris had me come right in and had me out of there in just minutes. A very nice man also! I have submitted my comments to my insurance carrier. Great place, great people. I found a new go to repair shop!
Always friendly with good service.
I had a scary indicator show up on my dash. I drove in here as it was nearby. They were wonderful to me, took care of my tires immediately. Wonderful service.
Perfect, from a tough customer.Im from out of town and brought my car in for an oil change before I hit the road home. Even without an appointment I was greeted kindly, given relevant questions, and time to answer them. The facility is clean, well lit, and wheelchair accessible. While I waited I watched Chris sit down next to another customer who seemed quite vulnerable to his advice regarding what repairs her car would need. He explained in plain English and matched her level of understanding to ensure that the decisions she made were informed and that her safety was the number one factor. Her independence was also part of the discussion if she chose not to repair the vehicle, and he provided options while also empathizing with her frustration.Tom introduced himself as the owner and we chatted about my car awhile. I am knowledgeable about cars, which he did not know, and which he did not need to know, because I did not have to stand up for myself against any unnecessary sales pitches. This was a perfect encounter with all the right boxes checked: clean, safe, friendly, complete, reasonably priced. Im somewhat stunned, I wish I could take this whole shop home with me. Id make them spaghetti.
Good, fair and helpful! Sometimes they can take too long because all there guys break for lunch together which is annoying but if you don’t go in between 11am-1pm you’ll be good and have a pleasant experience
Chris is a great guy!! Service is efficient, and reasonably priced
I had to have 4 tires replaced, fair pricing and quick service. Highly recommend Total Automotive.
Chris and the Team are the best in WNY. Honest, and upfront on costs but always do a great job, and they care! Even though we moved out to Clarence, I still come out here for the appointments just cause they’re awesome 😎
I came to Total Automotive today for an oil change and inspection. I had previously been going to Delta Sonic but Total Automotive was more convenient and accommodating. I only had to wait about an hour for both services and paid a far more reasonable price than I would have paid at Delta. Its also nice that you can book your appointment online. Definitely switching to Total Automotive for all of my regular maintenance.
I called for an AC appointment they got me in the next day a Friday. Chris was professional, honest, and accurate. They started on my car immediately when I arrived...Chris gave me a full print out of the price for parts, labor and total cost. Stated that the parts had to be ordered they wouldn’t come in until around noon...Chris guaranteed my car for the same day. I received my car and the air is ice cold!Thank you Total Automotive because who can live without AC on the hottest day in Western New York!
Dropped off my 4 x 4 for front end work. Found Chris and his guys to be very Honest, caring, and knowledgeable. Easy to work with, and friendly. Took the time to explain everything and their rates are very favorable. I highly recommend them to anyone!
Great service, friendly employees, and awesome mechanics. They are honest and wont do unnecessary work just to take your money. If you need a reliable, trustworthy auto repair facility this is it! Look no further.
Wouldnt go anywhere else! A relief to have found them. Thank you for terrific service!
Great neighborhood business. Future needs noted. Easy scheduling.
Have taken my car here for oil changes, inspections and simple repairs.Have always been treated very fairly. Was saved over $1,000 when compared to another rival company.Never have been forced to do anything extra.Prices seem fair and have never had a problem making an appointment.
Always excellent, trustworthy service!
Very honest place. never disappointed
Honesty and integrity can be found here. Excellent customer service. Everything is explained in detail. They will let you know if something can wait or if it needs to be done right away. Prices are reasonable.
Cant say enough positive things about Total Automotive! Customer service is outstanding... probably the best in the area! Chris goes the extra mile in order to ensure that customers are take care of! Prices are very fair.
Customer service is awesome
Ive been bringing my autos here for years now to get serviced and they are The BEST at what they do! Tom and his family are amazing and Chris is great to talk to! I highly recommend them to take care of your autos!
This place is great!! Its near my moms house and whenever I have gone they have been able to take me in right away, and always give good, honest advice. They also are very nice and have done small things at no charge. They are like a local, home business that are interested in serving their community sincerely. I have always had a good experience with them.
For over 15 years, they have always been great!
I call every automotive shop for NY state inpection, Total automotive gave me quick appointment and also helped me to get fix my car issues without charging extra penny. There rates are also very reasonalbe, calm and nice place no extra money making drama. Highly recommend them for bussiness.
They are OK for most common repair tasks, but I will not trust them with anything related to wheels. Sure, the tire quotes are quiet competitive, but when it comes to things like brake repair, wheel alignment, balancing, I have had bad experiences more than once. The new brakes they installed started making same sqeeking noise in just one month. The replacement to this new set was even better. It made the same noise as I drove off the repair shop. I had to turn back and take the technician out for a ride to prove I was not lying. He immediately diagnosed a new problem with brakes and gave me a new quote that was even more pricier. Old tires showed uneven wear even after periodic alignment and balancing. I took the car to another shop and got it all fixed. No problems after that.Other work I had to do is quiet acceptable and was reasonably priced. The owner and the front desk people are nice and very personable. Too bad the work doesnt live up to expectation.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They explain the diagnosis and work to be done very clearly and honestly. They make recommendations and give you options as well as letting you know what is the highest importance and what could wait. Great place to bring your car.
I have been having my car serviced at Total Automotive for approximately 20 years. I have always been pleased with the service received. I totally trust Tom, the owner, to give me good advice regarding what I need to do to keep my car in good running condition. I recently purchased a used car from Tom and am very pleased with it.Chris, who manages the shop, is very polite, professional, knowledgeable and a true asset to the business. I have called on more than one occasion with the need for an immediate appointment, and Chris has gotten me in as soon as possible. I do not have much contact with the mechanics who work on the cars, but on the few occasions that I have, I have found them to be very professional. I have referred friends to Tom and they have all been very pleased with service received.I would not take my car anywhere else for servicing.
I have a shattered driver side wing mirror for almost 8 month. Ive been hesitating to repair it fearing it would not look the same as before. I went in for NYS inspection which they did fast, and they told me they can replace the mirror with original part. So I trust them and thought I have to give it try. The price is reasonable and the result is perfect. The job is done within 10 minutes and Im very satisfied. It looks exactly like before, I would recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention the staff is very nice and helpful, not pushy at all. There is nothing to complain about this experience.
AVOID.1st issue: Had 4 tires replaced. They failed to replace the valve stems. Within two weeks, one of the tires leaked at the stem. Whenever youre replacing 6 year-old tires, its common place for the mechanic to replace the valve stems; they cost the shop only .69 cents, and youre charged $4 per tire anyway, so its win-win for them.I took the car back, they addressed the leak, and it took another 2 hours out of my day.2nd issue: My car was promised at a certain time. It was not ready until 3 hours later. I realize that things happen, but for a minor job like tires, this is inexcusable. This becomes problematic when youre having a friend drop you off at the shop, are required to be at work on time, and have basically planned your entire day around tires being installed.3rd issue: They promised to fill them with their cutting-edge new technology Nitrogen gas (according to Consumer Reports doesnt make one bit of difference). When I finally went to get the car, the guy said theyd run out of Nitrogen. Two tires are Nitrogen filled, the others with air.I will never go to Total Automotive again, nor will I recommend them.
Had two issues with this place...1) My car wouldnt start. had it towed to Total, it sat for four days, and they called me saying it was the remote starter. Charged 300 bucks to take it out. Got it Thurs night took it to work, when I got out it wouldnt start again. Called Friday, they said have it towed back and we will take care of you. It sat for another week and it turned out to be the crank sensor. Which I got charged for that. I asked well you going to put in the remote starter, of coarse they didnt. I didnt expect them to, just mad I got charged twice because of bad trouble shooting.2) A visit before that, they called explaining a problem with a check engine light, which was never fixed. So they said the car needed new serpentine because they spilled fluid on it and I had to pay for it. At least they were honest in saying they spilled fluid on it instead of saying something else!
Alternator and two belts snapped on my vehicle. Paid 850 to have that fixed. The very next day the harmonic balancer went and they want another 300, but oh don’t worry, they won’t charge me the labor. Probably just upcharge the hell out of the needed part. A past mechanic my family has dealt with assured me that this is an issue that should have been previously diagnosed when it was originally on the lift and taken apart the day prior. I cannot help but feel they are cheating a broke 21 year old college student with declined mechanical sense. Both my mother and father whom is a town officer, have given them business numerous times. Never again, as my father has even mentioned to me the possibility of a lawsuit for theft of services, but is the last person to play the system. Safe to say we will not be taking any vehicles back to these guys. -10/10. Chris is an swell guy, however, now I cannot help but feel he’s in cahoots with the mechanics.
Tom and all the other workers at Total Automotive have always provided the best customer service around. They fit appointments to your schedule and explain all the work that needs to be done before fixing your car. We have gone to this shop for over 15 years, and would definitely recommend it to others.
Reasonably priced and quick skilled work
Been taking my cars here for almost 6 years and they take care of me like we are friends. Getting a ride to work and a pickup after they have completed the repairs is one of the top perks.
Tried again after years away. They will not respect you as a customer. Will not go back.Im sure they have some great technicians and staff. Chris, the service adviser is the most professional employee theyve ever had.
Always fast friendly and honest. Would and do recommend to family/friends!
My husband and I went into Total Automotive to get some new tires. All of our tires were balled and we also thought we really needed an alignment as well. So the guys put the new tires on and when they were done, the manager told us that our alignment was just fine and didnt need to be done. So what was supposed to be an almost $300 dollar job, didnt turn out to be that much because he said he didnt want to over-charge us. They even put on cartoons for our three year old when they saw her come in!! The place was clean and everyone was very friendly, I would definitely go there again!
We recently had to have new hitch put on our Van as it was not holding up my husbands elec wheelchair.... Victor at the VA had us go see Chris at Total Automotive...They are super nice people, Chris explained all about the bolts not holding and one put hole in frame but he said not to worry it all could be fixed. I had to leave it to take care of the hitch problem, which was done without problem, then the bumper was the cause of the rust underneath Van. So Chris called with update and had to get new bumper. A-OK, then inspection revealed a leaking in the power steering so Chris gave us update and cost of fixing that.... Everything that was done made the van better for hauling wheelchair and not scrapping driveways anymore....We are very pleased with Total Automotive and would recommend to everyone to go see them for all your car needs....We are certainly going to them as our future service dealer.... In a scale of 1-5 as I was asked in phone survey--- Give them 5 but could go to big 10.Most pleasant, caring, knowledgeable people that we have dealt with.Thank you Chris and Crew for making our ordeal a more positive experience.Oh yes, have coffee, watch tv and bring books and take books... lovely experience as a book lover it was great to find books in a service station.... Kudos to all at Total Automotive......
This place is special. They make every effort to accomodate your need for appointment times. They tell you the truth about your repair options. I am very happy with everyone who works there.
Excellent Service, I was in and out in no time at all. These guys take care of all my vehicle needs. I love total automotive!
Needed state inspection. Price was beyond reasonable and they squeezed me in last second! Awesome service and nice, clean facility!
Good mechanics and nice guys. A little pricey for my blood but still good work and very friendly.
Best place we could go. Found the problem in 2 min. and helped with it perfectly. Stayed in an other shop the whole day and they couldnt help.
Best place ro,get your car worked on at a reasonable price.
I dropped my vehicle off for a simple service asked for two things. A phone call when it was done and for them to lock the keys in it. Neither which were done.
My 84 year old mother went there the other day to have an oil change and when she went to pick up the car, after she paid $40 for a simple oil change, they told her they looked the car over and her back brakes where very bad and had to be fixed right away, she said they told her they could do it for only $550!!! This was just for her BACK brakes! Total ripoff artists! She went somewhere else and paid half that price! She said even though there where a ton of cars in the parking lot, there were no customers. I think since they moved to the new location, their service has gone down hill and theyve gotten very greety. She will never go there again. I dont know where those over 500- 5 star reviews come from but I dont think its legit because there where absolutely NO 3,2, or 1 star reviews posted. Or it may be legit but they only post the 4 and 5 stars.
Staff is friendly and happy to explain repairs needed. Prices fair and done in a timely manor.
NEVER AGAIN..This place moved from 2125 Eggert Rd in Amherst to this location a few years ago. Their old location was legendary for substandard service and other shenanigans (do some online research).........................................................................................................................They were formerly known as Buffalo Discount Muffler and Brake, and their invoices showed Tech -Net Professional Auto Service, their previous 2125 Eggert Rd. Amherst NY 14226, REG#7035558. Why the shell games with the name changes?.......................................................................................................................If the owner doubts that I am a (former) customer, I will post a copy of my receipt. I will also post a photo of the symmetrical gouges they put in each of my aluminum wheel rims when they installed tires.
Quick service knowledgeable mechanic
Friendly staff nice place to get your vehicle fixed
They went above and beyond. I will definitely recommend them for service.
Excellent at explaining needed repair, options for doing so, and prices. No problems service wise
Fair prices, excellent work, and vehicles are done when they say they are going to be done.
I am so glad to have found this family owned auto repair. I will never take my car any where else due to the prices and quality work.
Great mechanic, wouldnt go anywhere else.
Fast service and very friendly staff. They are fair on their pricing too.
Honest shop quality work average prices
Total Automotive is Totally awesome!!
Bery fast service
Rating: Poor.My friend took her car there for NYS Inspection and afterward called me for an opinion. The inspector alleged that the rubber wiper blade insert was ripped. They convinced her that she need to have both blades replaced, which were $41 installed. If not, they would have rejected the car. The threat of having a pink rejection (10 day) sticker on your windshield is often enough to convince someone to pay for something they may not need.I realize that things happen, but the blades were Bosch, and were less than 6 months old. The car was not driven in the winter, so the chance of something like road salt ripping a blade was minimal. I have no doubt that the Bosch blades were fine. The replacements were cheap Chinese-made ones, that cost $4 retail. Not to point fingers, but look up wiper blade fraud, its the new method for repair shops to rip people off, especially clueless women or the elderly.
The lady working the desk was rude and lazy. I wouldnt come here for my car issues.
Fast friendly service
Great service honest guys thanks again !!!!!
Tom and crew have worked on my trucks for over 20 years.
Excellent service!
Shame on you
Okay
