Noticed that my car had an issue in the morning before work. When I got out, I stopped by on my way home to just let them see what the issue was and then hoped that I would be able to make an appointment for it soon. My car began making a grinding sound when applying the brakes, and a quick google search for mechanics nearby turned up Scruggs Automotive. They were able to get my vehicle in promptly. A short time after I dropped my vehicle off, I received a text with a link to their recommended repairs/maintenance, with photos and notes to accompany their recommendations. I was able to select which of the repairs I wanted them to perform, and track progress throughout the day as items on the list were checked off. My vehicle was ready by the end of the day, with new tires, rear brakes/rotors, a new alignment & a new cabin air filter. Prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

My wife has been using this places for years and swears by it. After taking my car in this week, I totally understand her advocacy for this business. I have used 4-5 mechanics over the past 15 years, and I have never gotten such thorough service from a business. The itemized list of maintenance and repairs allows you to see price for parts and for labor. You can pick and choose what you want done based on your budget and/or your ability to do your own work. They answered all my questions and stand by their work. My wife had her brakes done there and they wore prematurely (mind you after nearly a year of use) so they replaced them free of charge. To me, that’s a business that cares about their work and reputation. This is my new go-to mechanic in the Northtowns.

My Wrangler had rather severe ‘age’ related issues. The Jeep is extremely low mileage, because it isn’t driven regularly. It has never been garaged. Bad juju on my part. They gave my vehicle new life, and me, a mild slap on wrist for not taking better care.I deserved it.Came in at budget, and a day ahead of schedule.AAA approved facility as well.

I brought my ‘03 jeep wrangler with 178,000 miles on it that had some “death wobble” issues along with a few other repairs needed. I went to to scruggs per a recommendation from a fellow Jeep owner and I could not have been happier. They provided the upmost professional and timely service I’ve ever had for my Jeep. Not only did they know exactly what was going on with it, but they recommended additional things to fix in order to keep it riding as smooth as possible. They happened to miss a tire balancing issue but fit me in ASAP the next day to straighten it out. Their services are definitely more on the costly side, but 100% worth it and a classic example of getting what you pay for. I’ve brought my Jeep to 3 other places including the dealership itself, but scruggs was by far the best service I could recommend for anyone who owns a Jeep like me. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I have been looking for a great mechanic for a while now and I’m so happy I found Scruggs! They are honest, reliable, and super friendly. They send you a link with all recommendations for your car to approve before doing any work which I absolutely love. Once you approve you can pay right on that platform with a card, and they text you when the work is done! It’s so convenient and amazing. They recommended that I have my brakes done, and since they had just done them fairly recently they replaced them for free!!! If it’s not not done right they will always fix it. I’m so happy I’ve found my new go to mechanic.

After an unexpected check engine light, I called Scruggs as it was the closest repair shop. As a first time customer, I was unsure of what to expect. Staff immediately greeted me in the parking lot and ran the code in front of me - no funny business. Not only did they diagnose it on the spot, they gave me a loaner and got me in and out in the same afternoon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and very customer service oriented. Let me start by explaining Ive grown up with cars and motorcycles my whole life. I know cars and have worked as a mechanic and tow truck driver for my parents service center when I was younger. Ive been going to Scruggs for years. For the most part theyve been pretty straight with me. A few months ago I took my vehicle in for an inspection. I was shocked when they told me I had thousands of dollars of work that needed done. I was told I needed all new brakes and rotors front and rear. I was told my exhaust system was rusted through and needed replaced. I was told I was cracked leaves in my rear springs. They probably thought I wouldnt question these things and probably thought I wouldnt crawl under my vehicle to check for myself. They were wrong. Thats exactly what I did. There was nothing at all wrong with the exhaust. After I bought all the parts to repair my own brakes I found there was nothing wrong with them either. It was true I had a couple cracked springs and was going to take my vehicle back to have them replaced. However the day I had taken off work and scheduled to have that done they didnt have the parts they knew they would need. The more I thought about the whole thing the madder it made me. I ended up doing the rear springs myself. Its unfortunate, Ive been a customer there for years but its unlikely Ill go back.

As a female that is used to auto shops trying to pull a wool over your eyes and upcharge you, thinking you dont know any better, this place is one that you can really trust. They communicate everything to you and always get the job done. You can usually make an appointment within the next couple days and the customer service is really wonderful. Ill take my car here for as long as possible

The main issue is that this auto shop marks up parts four times the one you buy from dealer. And when I asked about the price gouging, they say we guarantee our work for 3 years! So one bearing replacement cost me 450+If I have to pay such pricing, better go to dealer. I will never go back to this shop nor would I recommend to any family or friend.

I just recently moved to Buffalo and I needed a good, reliable mechanic. We were referred to Scruggs by a friend and I am very happy with the service they provided. My car stalled out on me and I got it towed to Scruggs and they had it fixed the next day, right before the holidays! I needed my throttle body replaced. The staff was really friendly and I love their texting system where you can see the progress being made on your vehicle as it is being serviced. It’s hard to find mechanics that are honest and won’t charge an arm and a leg for useless repairs. Scruggs gave it to me straight, said what needed to be fixed right away, and did an amazing job. Scruggs saved our holiday season and, because of the folks over there, I understand why some call Buffalo the “city of good neighbors.” Highly recommend!!

Shop thought it would take one day. It took two full days to replace the catalytic converters on my truck. Shop stayed after hours on the second day to make sure the job was finished right. I will keep going back.

I will say I was very impressed with how easy they were with setting up an appointment and the really cool payment/update/picture system they use. Also managers seemed very nice and caring towards the customer so I thank them for that. Pricing also seemed very fair. However my experience was negative because I told them I needed a 4 wheel alignment after the work I had done on my car. I pick up the car and get home to see that my rear end isn’t centered and looks like both rears are facing left. Called back and was told they didn’t adjust the rear, but I paid for it and was told the rear was good. Thankfully they told me to come back to fix it just for the mechanic to fly into the shop and have it back out in 2 minutes just to see that the rears tires are now facing outwards to the right. Had to ask immediately to bring it back in again which made me look like I was being a pain, and then I was asked to tell the mechanic if it looked good or not when instead of rushing, could’ve checked before taking off the lift or taking measurements. Finally to top it off, everything is smooth after the alignment, but my steering wheel is facing a 1-2 o clock position going straight down the road.Have not called back about the steering wheel not being straight because I really don’t want to have to go back again or trust it not be rushed through again.

I just moved to this area and was looking for a mechanic to get my 1996 Ford Bronco through safety/emission inspection and fix a check engine light. From the get-go, the experience was beyond exceptional. First and foremost, I’ve never experienced any other mechanic use new technology where you can track your service all the way from start to finish with an itemized breakdown of what you’re paying for. In addition, they offered a loaner vehicle while I waited for my Bronco to be fixed. Hands down, these reasons alone are worth it. However, their honest customer service was what sold me. Their honesty is what differentiates them from any other shop – I cannot stress this enough. There are so many bad people out there these days trying to take every dollar from your wallet and offer “coupons” to make it seem like you’re getting a deal which was the experience I had at another shop before taking my Bronco to Scruggs. At Scruggs, I worked mainly with Nick and he was phenomenal. Nick immediately showed interest and wanted to help me even though this was my first time at Scruggs. That shows 100% dedication to his work ethic and I knew Scruggs was the shop I needed to work with. The care Nick showed since day one was continued through the entire process and he was very, very quick to give me a status update with a quick phone call anytime something had to be done. Trust me, these guys will figure out exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and they won’t try to nickel and dime you for anything. I took my Bronco to another shop before Scruggs and I was completely ripped off and stopped 80% of the remaining work to get other quotes. Scruggs quoted me at a third of the other shop and gave me more insight to what was the real problem. My only regret is that I didn’t take my Bronco to Scruggs initially – oh well, lesson learned. I feel so relieved now that I found an honest shop where I can take my Bronco. I never felt like I was talking to a salesperson and only felt like I was talking to someone who was just looking out for me. I’m writing this to share the word – Scruggs is the shop you have to work with! Just give them a call and see for yourself, the proof is in the pudding.Jim and Nick, if you’re reading this, thank you so much! While moving out of state, we broke down in the middle of the night, on the thruway in Buffalo, NY. Our vehicle was towed to Scruggs Automotive, who promptly began diagnosing and trying to fix the problems that morning. They were very friendly, thorough, and competent in assessing the vehicle, and helpful in determining the best course of action for getting us back on the road. In this case, the cost of repairs did not make sense for the age and condition of our vehicle. Before we left, the manager, Nick, even stayed late to make sure everything was set, so we could continue our journey. Scruggs continued to go above and beyond in helping us by securing transportation to rental vehicle businesses, taking care of scrapping our vehicle, turning in our New York state license plates, and providing us with appropriate documentation through email and text. Costumer services was great but charging me $360 for spark plugs and wires I feel is way too much. I called 3 parts stores and I couldve gotten everything for under $100. So I was charges $200 for labor. It shouldnt have taken longer then 30 minutes..but the problems were fixed.

I had been having an issue with getting my aftermarket suspension aligned properly for over a year ...Alex at scruggs was able to get my car driving straight as an arrow in one try! He also kept me updated on his progress and gave a detailed explanation on what he did and how he resolved the issue, even went as far as to accommodate some specific requests I had in regards to suspension settings! All for less than I was expecting... 11 out of 10 would recomend!

I had my heater core replaced for my 93 mustang. An extensive job they completed in one day. While working on my heater core the technician noticed my vacuum line leaking. He fixed the problem and now my car is running excellent. I appreciate their attention to detail and taking the time to to fix this issue.

My overall experience with this company is wonderful. I did experience a not so customer friendly on one occasion. The onset of one of the sales rep made me feel offensive. I had provided donuts to the staff and the sales rep pushed them to the side and never shared with the staff. It wasnt until Jimmy came in and I stated what I had for the staff. Jimmy did inform the guys what I did. I also experienced over hearing the same sales rep speaking negative about Jimmy to another coworker. When Jimmy returned, the sales rep changed the subject. While conversation with Jimmy, this coworker would interject with what Jimmy and I was discussing. I stated to this guy I was not speaking to him. This guy I had never dealt with. It is because of the service I had in the past, I returned. Otherwise if I didnt appreciate Jimmy, I would not return. Customers are people to. Not to be offended. I did follow through with my complaint .
