Untrustworthy, irresponsible, no courtesy, disrespectful of my time. I placed an order for 4 parts through their website on July 12. That was 7 weeks ago. Today is August 30 and I still have not received my parts. Within the last 7 weeks, VW Payne Brownsville did not provide me with updates about my order. I had to call them for updates. Within the last 7 weeks I have had the same conversation with their parts department multiple times: I call, they tell me that one of the parts I ordered is out of stock and discontinued, I tell them to refund me for that part and ship me the rest of the order, then they promise me they shall do this the next day. It never happened. On August 20, I called them the 3rd or 4th time. I finally received a refund for the unavailable part a few days later. Thank you. But today is August 30 and I still have not received the rest of my order. I paid for shipping when I placed the order. I am about 70 miles away, it should not take this long. If I dont receive my parts by the end of this week, VW Payne Brownsville, I will sue you for fraud, you will lose, and a Cameron county judge will order you to return my money and pay my legal fees. How does that sound?

I went in to have my oil changed and an inspection in order to register my license plates for the year 2021/22. They are always kind and courteous and very polite and professional as well as friendly. I give them a 5 star rating and would recommend my family and friends for any automobile purchases and service.

I was in Brownsville running errands and my tire pressure light came on.I stopped at the dealership, it was about 10:10 am. They were busy. However when I explained my issue Tomas Vazquez my service advisor took my information and called to Abdiel the mechanic. Abdiel took my key and put my car on a lift. Wow within 30 minutes I was on the road again.He had checked to make sure that I didnt have a nail or leaks from valve stems. All tires were found to be 28psi. He aired all tires to the proper psi and I was good to go. I have been coming back to Payne Service in Brownsville for 13 yrs and this experience is why! Thanks guys, yall are awesome!

I have bought over 5 vehicles for this dealership. this is the first time the salesperson didnt Greet us he acted like he didnt want to make a sale and took a long time to get the keys for a vehicle that I asked for and ended up getting another vehicle keys instead because he couldnt find the key bad service at this location.

Stopped in and asked if I needed an appointment to be helped out. Said someone would be right with me. No one ever did. I just left.

Dropped of our car on a Thursday for a check engine light and on the following Tuesday it had not even been checked. Service reps ack as if its a bother for us to bring in the vehicle in for service. Un apologetic and since we have no other option we are at their mercy. Not happy with the service department. At least provide a loaner vehicle if the service department is over whelmed with work. Management must work on solutions for this problem.

Guillermo Pérez in Brownsville Payne he is a good Car Sales man. He explained everything on this Vehicle that we got. He help my son and I. He is very attentive to his job. 5 stars for the Parts Dept correctly finding me my parts that I needed unlike the Payne volkswagen in mission. Great price compared to auto parts stores or online.0 stars for service- A big issue I had here is that I have a recall on my vehicle that wasnt fixed properly at another dealer. Payne did not do the recall so its not their fault. Its covered under warranty and the service advisor/manager Guamaro Castillo didnt want anything to do with it and advised me that I would have to pay out of pocket because they did not want to get management/ other dealership involved so that they would have to cover the repair costs. As advised from previous dealers Ive went to for maintenance it is no big deal and if they had available time to work on it that they could and it would be covered under recall warranty. If you want to be given the run around and gutted for extra charges this is the place.11/18/2020

This is a big dealership with multiple locations and I am not a big fan of this type of business. They charge a lot of money and I mean theyre ShopRite is more than double of other shops in the county. They will tell you that they are an authorized Volkswagen dealer and they have been blessed by God or something like that but I think the shop rate was over $260 an hour and then there is a shop fee on top of that just for paper towels and sweeping the floor. Im sure they do good work but I have a mechanic that I trust and he is less than half the price and I get quality work and dont have resentment over being screwed by the price

All I have to say is that Mr. Joel did a great job helping me get my first car in an agency. He always kept his integrity at peak towards me and even though he did that I doubted him because of past experiences and I’m very sorry for doubting your word Joel. They worked hard to help me out. I’ve had VWs for 20 years and it’s always a struggle to work with this particular service consultant at the Brownsville location. He’s lacking customer service and he’s very argumentative. Other than that, the manager at the service department is outstanding and always willing to work with a loyal customer.

Went there to view a used chevy cruz to possibly buy. Rear right tire was flat, car was on empty gas, shaking once i started it. The check engine light was on, took it on the highway... transmission was trashed... car would not go passed 60MPH when i accelerated. Salesperson was very pushy for me to make a decision fast. Before credit check he was very nice & after that he changed into another person. They were trying to sale that car for 14-15K. You tell me you are an honest person but try to sell me this messed up car. I understand the job is to try and sell the car but the whole experience was bad. If you are buying from this place do your research.

I purchase my Jetta when living in Missouri and have been pleased with service with this dealer.MY one suggestion that when I had my service in Springfield, MO, it did not what service I received, oil change, 40,000 miles, etc. Dealer always washed my car. Called for a part I needed that day and they said they had it, only for me to go and they say it was wrong part and they had sold it earlier! Told me to go all the way to McAllen, I was extremely upset cause I needed that part today. and had they got the correct part in the first place and notified me they had only one left, I would have ordered it right then and there. Instead I wasted time also they didn’t even care that they messed up
