Still in awe. Just received my used 1997 Les Paul Studio DC. It arrived in a timely manner. It was packed very well. The guitar was clean and ready to play. If fact im still havent been able to put it down. It was my first time buying a used guitar but I would definitely recommend this company. Thank you very much. Vincent M.
Super knowledgeable staff and always a good selection. They have rare boutique brands and household names. I bought a Taylor guitar and they offer a tune up after a month or so. I doubt guitar center would do that.
Ive never purchased a guitar online before, so I was bit weary at first. Boy, am I glad I purchased through Cream City. I just received my guitar and its fantastic. All set up and ready to go out of box. Its suppose to be a demo model, but there are barely any noticeable marks on the guitar. I wanted to thank Paul Schell for helping with the whole process and making my purchase worry-free. Id be coming back again for sure.
Buying an expensive guitar online can be a nerve racking and treacherous process -- but the purchase of my new 12 string Gretsch Country Gentleman with Cream City was a transaction beyond perfect. After two disappointing experiences with sellers that didnt actually have the guitar they had advertised in stock (though taking my money was no problem!), Brian at Cream City was extremely helpful, honest, professional and communicative -- and the guitar arrived in perfect condition two days ahead of schedule. This was a B-stock instrument, meaning there was supposed to be a factory flaw in the finish, hence a lower price. I couldnt find the flaw. It looks and plays beautifully, and the B-stock status saved me nearly a thousand dollars. Farewell Sweetwater, Cream City is my new go-to. Many thanks to Brian and the crew at Cream City from your newest soon-be-be returning customer in Arabi, Louisiana. Louie
I have purchased two guitars from this company and the whole experience has been first class. Even down to the double box they ship the guitars in, everything is done perfectly. I really appreciate the communication and help and advice from both Bill and Andy. Not only is the service and product awesome but I really dont think you will find a better price. Its a Win Win with these guys!
I cant say enough about the Cream City Music! They discount for me and have allowed different payment methods on different websites to help me out. Im ordering the very wonderful GFI Specular Tempus. They sell items of the highest quality and have put up with me being a complete pain in the rear! Go to their site... purchase... and tell them some weird guy on Google Reviews sent you :D
A very accommodating company. Great web, great service, great value.
So glad I walked in here today. Nice staff, very helpful. Wide selection of vintage guitars. Chad got me set up with my new string box and I couldnt be happier with it. Great price on my new 73 Martin D-28. Will absolutely come back here again for my music needs. Dont listen to the 1-star reviews. Some people just cant be pleased.
Ive purchased many instruments from many dealers/stores over many years. My recent purchase from Cream City was one of the best experiences Ive ever had! Their customer service was tip-top!HIGHLY recommended!
Cream City is positively one of the premier go to music stores in the Milwaukee area. Specifically, if youre a guitarist or bassist, youd truly regret missing it if youve got the time. Incredible selection of new and used instruments, amplifiers and effects, as well as every possible accessory you could imagine. Oh yeah.. great people too! They know of what they speak!
Love this store. Great people. Just got my acoustic back from Tyler for a bridge repair. Could not tell it was ever cracked, the setup was fantastic. Plays better than ever. Highly recommend this store for all your guitar needs.
I bought a guitar from Cream City Music that ended up being back-ordered for several months. They were very good at keeping me updated on when it would ship. When I received the guitar it came in perfect condition and the setup they did was fantastic! Would definitely buy from these guys again!
Great store. Great staff. Great inventory.
Best guitar store outside of Nashville. ANYWHERE. Great staff, great stuff, and super knowledgeable and helpful. Always my first try when I need something, and usually the last.
Walked in, wad greeted and treated very nicely and professionally. They knowledgeable people who really value their costumers. Im very glad I went to CCM to have my bass setup. Highly recommend them
Cool Store Good Prices Friendly Staff
Lots of guitars and amps to choose from no matter what your style. Had my Melody Maker updated and found a nice used entry level guitar for my son. The staff are knowledgeable and the entire place is professional yet laid back.
Have always found them knowledgeable and have provided good service 👍
Always a great visit. Cream city always have a great selection. Always helpful with questions.
Stopped in because i want to learn to play the guitar. Got great advice from Chad and bought a very nice sounding beginner guitar. I would deffinately go back for any additional questions or music needs.
Bought a limited jazzmaster with shipping to Russia. Excellent service. I have bought over 50 guitars all over the world and it was the best experience so far. Fast and pleasant communication, set up and shipping the same day. (Over 20 emails like a what’s app chat, all the details were cleared out perfect)Funny enough, I originally wanted to buy from German retailer shop, but I didnt gett an answer from them for 2 days.Special thanks to Chad! Now I am sure that my next purchase would be from this shop.
Great family store feel. Just busy and inventory was low on Gretsch. Hope it comes in fast.
Awesome experience! Had an issue with a brand new pedal... Manufacturers fault, brand new out of box. Instead of making me wait forever for warranty repair, without hesitation sent they a prepaid shipping label and said send it back. Man they handled it fast and were awesome to work with. I will absolutely continue to to shop with them. I really appreciate the fast personal service! Highly recommend!
The Sales Staff at Cream City Music were kind courteous, and very helpful in helping me place an order for a Fender Acoustic amp. The best prices on the internet and fast free deliver to boot!
By far the best guitar shop in this area! Huge selection of new and used... no junk. Great vintage amp selection... just bought a really nice one there for under $400.. have only one complaint...a few years ago I bought a vintage guitar for fret/neck work and my request was not followed... havent played it since which means it has to go to another shop... work wasnt bad it just wasnt what I asked for
Great store friendly staff and a pleasure to deal with both in person and online
Okay, straight up cream city kicks a@*. I bought a tele deluxe over Internet, they worked with me to get my specific setup preferences, shipped it promptly, with great communications start to finish. I’ve bought and sold about 15 guitars in the last 3 years and this has been my best experience with a music shop. Highly recommend. I’m in MA but happily support any local music shop especially when they are this good.
Great people, friendly service, and a large selection of quality instruments. Ive bought two very nice guitars and assorted electronics, and have had nothing but good experiences here. This is my first stop in MKE for anything musical.
Excellent customer service! I was looking for acoustic strings for my Sons guitar. I was in and out with great service within 10 minutes. I definitely will return to this guitar store.
HelpfulGreat selection of guitars
They aggressively seek out and procure the finest vintage and pro-player grade guitars in the area. No flies on this shop - theyre doing it right.
I purchased my first nice guitar from Cream City last week. I was on the phone with Paul and he was excellent in answering my questions, especially the ones I didnt ask, but was still looking for the answers to. Anyway, I am very happy with my purchase and I hope to make it to the store in the near future.
Always has a great selection of guitars and gear, friendly staff, and honest pricing.
Went WAY above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. This a great store, with great inventory, helpful and friendly staff, run like all businesses should be run. I love this place.
Great customer service. John made the sale very easy. Will shop here again!
I found Cream City music and its repair shop by accident after trying all the other music/guitar stores in the area. Tyler the repair tech was fantastic. Solved my issue with courtesy service and great communication. I would recommend them HIGHLY without hesitation. Great place!!
Great shop with a great selection. Ordered from their inventory on Reverb.com and so far had a great experience. Thanks for the sweet Jazzmaster!
The people that work there actually know what theyre talking about as they should.
It was expensive, but worth every dime, I love that store, cream city
I purchased a 2020 Les Paul Standard Slash signature series last week from Cream City. Paul Schell assisted me. That was the best service Ive had at any store ever. Paul answered all my questions throughly and gave me a great price. I lastly want to mention that I drove 3 hours to get there and asked if I could get the guitar set up that that morning. Paul took the guitar to his techs and not only was it set up, while I waited, but they polished out some fine scratches in the back. I highly recommend this store and Paul as a top Sales Specialist.
Cream City Music is the best! I’ve been out of the bass buying scene for a minute but finally realized that it was getting time to pull the trigger. I went to my local “big box type stores” and I just didn’t feel the love. I found Cream City on Reverb and after about 14million emails to Bill I finally made the purchase. I am not going to lie I was a little nervous buying a Fender Jazz bass without seeing it but the team at Cream City did an amazing job putting some flats on it and setting it up. They where super patient with my questions and it shipped in less than 24 hrs. I would recommend the shop and wished I lived closer so I could personally tell them thanks. If you don’t buy from them you’ll be missing out!
I came in to buy a pedal board. Chad was very helpful with helping me select the right board and the right power supplies for my setup. I also ended up buying a great strymon pedal.Bonus points for Chad recommending a rock solid sushi restaurant, too. The food was so good my girlfriend forgave me for the two hours we spent hanging out at the shop.
Nice shop with good atmosphere. Staff was friendly and willing to help without being overbearing. Wide selection of guitars and such from starters to collectors. Chad assisted me with picking out a gift and even gave me a discount. Smaller shop than the Guitar Center, but is a local business with a more personal touch. Highly recommended.
I love this place and have been shopping here for years. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff with a wide selection of guitars, amps, pedals and accessories. I am a professional guitar instructor in the area and I refer my students to Cream City for any of their guitar/gear/repair needs. My students always have positive things to say after shopping here as well. If you need anything guitar related, this is the place to go!
First time online buyer from CCM and I give them 5 stars! The Nashville tele deluxe arrived with an excellent setup and great customer service from beginning to end. Next time I will definitely shop CCM first. I highly recommend!Duane
Nice dealer...lots to select from. Greater gave a warm welcome
They were very good Employees,
Good employees and they are very knowledgeable. A lot of products and parking. I will be back for all my musical needs.
Great place to check out guitars vary helpful nice people and lots of inventory to check out.
Awesome shop, staff member I worked with was great. No pressure, was happy to assist me. Not a whole lot of non-Fender bass stuff, but a spectacular pedal selection and great prices on used gear. If you go, ask for Andy.
This place has amazing choices for musicians of all talent. Better selection of many other stores and very nice staff. Highly recommended!
Hello, I bought a Maton Guitars here before. I would like to ask if you can customize a Maton Guitars?
Great selection of acoustic and electric guitars. Friendly knowledgeable staff. They also sell amps and much.more.
I bought a bass off reverb from them and they shipped quickly, I dont usually take the. time to review things but after seeing how they padded the guitar for shipment I had to leave 5 stars. Would buy from these guys again for sure
Chad is a wealth of music knowledge.
Went here the other day, having seen some of their pedals online on reverb. The service here is second to none, the guys are great to converse with, and are willing to work out a deal with you. Would highly recommend supporting this store!
Traded in a bass and was dealt with in a prompt, professional, and helpful manner by John. I am located in California and with their help was able to ship it with a shipping label provided by Cream City. I only had to package it up, drop it off at UPS and they took care of the rest. It was a seamless and pleasant experience.
First visit was impressive. Quality brands with excellent prices on new and used equipment. Staff was helpful but not obnoxious. I recommend a visit for everyone.
Cream City Music is an awesome guitar store experience. Stock is untouched by any music store in the area. Every time I shop at CCM the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. Andy, Chad, and Paul are masters of customer service. If I need a guitar repair, I go to Cream City Music. If I need a new guitar pedal, I go to Cream City Music. If I need a new guitar or amp, I go to Cream City Music. I think the greatest compliment I can give is my daughter, who hates music stores, loves Cream City Music. Awesome Store.
Ive been playing music for over 30 years, and Ive been to guitar shops all over the country and world. This has to be the best Ive ever been to. I will never go anywhere else. Theres really no need. They have a wide selection of new, used, and vintage instruments at an array of price points, perfect for any player from beginner to professional.
Had what we needed pointed us in the area in the store of the items we were looking for
Best Luthers around. Quality service.
08/15/2020 15:30 Great staff service, i went in looking to see if any acoustic takamines were in stock and i was happy to see they had some. The employees were very helpful! Feel good with my new takamine i will definitely stop by again in the future and recommend this place to anyone thats asks about buying a guitar.
Super staff. They answered my questions and instilled confidence in my purchase. The staff is conscientious, knowledgeable, and friendly. Thats what you need from a instrument retailer.
Ive visited here twice and bought a guitar and an amp. The prices are fair, the selection is great, but leans toward high end. Chad helped me on both of my visits, and the rest of the staff seems cool too. A HUGE positive to this business is the complete lack of 8 year old children banging on drums while you are trying out guitars. They cater to a more mature crowd. They will also give you a fair trade in on your used gear.
Excellent service they setup the Telecaster I bought perfectly and shipped it out safely and packaged great. They sell only the best guitars and musical equipment. Thank you again Cream City Music.
Worked with John on a trade. He was a pleasure to work with. Everyone in the store was great. Highly recommended!
Great experience. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff and a good selection of new & used gear.
This place is an addiction of mine. Spent well into 5 figures here over the past few years, and visit monthly. Great selection, good prices and they are always willing to get you what you need at the price you want! The 57 Gibson Les Paul Special I bought from them is such an amazing guitar, and they really gave me a great deal on it!
Andy is very knowledgeable. Dan was awesome to deal with also. I found an issue with my guitar and Chad stepped in and took care of it immediately. WOW! Great service all around.Keep it up guys. Nice job!
Really nice selection of new and used guitars and amps. Knowledgeable staff and great setup tech. Dont go expecting boutique brands. Just the usual but nicely presented in a cool atmosphere
Best guitar shop in the Milwaukee area. Selection is top notch. If they dont have exactly what you need, they will work with you to get it. staff is friendly, knowledgeable and just great to work with. No matter if youre a beginer or a professional, this place is great!
It was alright, this place is more expensive in my opinion, but the store was clean and the staff was friendly. I dont play guitar, so I just wanted to buy a good yet cheap acoustic guitar, and my dad has been playing over 40 years and he really likes this store, the one I got was really nice and not to expensive at $130, but that was probably the cheapest new guitar they had. I had hoped to pick up a 1st level book to help me learn and was a little disappointed that they didnt have any instructional books whatsoever, but over all its a nice store, just maybe not the best place to buy a guitar for a child or a person just starting to play.
Modern day guitar shop with an old-school flare. Playing guitar for over half of my life Ive visited many guitar stores. By far Cream City is the most inviting and professional in the Milwaukee area. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The best part about this place is Cream City has just as much product (if not more) as most the big-box music retail chains in stock and on display, but they still conduct themselves with a ma & pop attitude. It truly is a special place and I feel fortunate to have them as my local go to guitar shop!
I purchased a guitar online (obviously, not having played it). The guitar itself didnt quite live up to my expectations, but I had no trouble returning it. The shipping time, customer service, and return policy were absolutely top notch. I couldnt have asked for more. Ultimately, I had a fantastic experience with Cream City Music. Highly recommended.
This place is such a landmark. Amazing collection of instruments, pedals, and amps. No keys or drums, but the variety and quality of all the guitars, basses, mandolins, and ukes in here more than makes up for it. Would recommend.
I stopped by on a recommendation because I needed to sell a guitar that was collecting dust and I got a fair price and the staff were super helpful and very friendly. Although I dont play I will definitely be recommending them to people who do.
Excellent musical instrument store, if you need a stringed instrument this is the place. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Luther on hand and very good, was able to restore an old 40s guitar I inherited with replacement parts that were actually correct for the original. From here out I WILL be using them for all my guitar needs. They have a large selection of, well, everything and anything. Electric, acoustic, bass, heck theyve got mandolins. They have new and used instruments at very competitive prices
Great selection of guitars, basses, and amps! Will for sure be going back in the future!
Literally one of the finest guitar shops in the nation. An amazing inventory of new, used and vintage guitars, effects and amps in a casual and stylish store.
Awesome selection of new and used guitars and amps. Traded in an old bass for some credit towards some new gear, and I feel like I got a fair price. Staff was helpful, even shipped back a few things I forgot at the store. I will most DEFINITELY be stopping back in the future. Worth the trip if its out of your way
Amazing selection of analog boutique stomp boxes. I drove an hour to get to this store. It was totally worth it. The staff are amazing. I was helped by Chad who gave me such good advice that I left there with a totally different pedal! I love this place.
I bought a used Fender Deluxe Reverb hand-wired from Cream City and was very pleased with the detailed, in-hand description of the amp, as well as the quick shipment. I definitely recommend Cream City and will do business with them in the future!!
Clean store with a great vibe. Went there for the first time and the staff was incredibly helpful. Will be my go to shop from now on.
Incredible selection of guitars with knowledgeable sales staff. Everything from sweet vintage guitars to high end custom shop. Fender, Gibson, Deusenberg, Gretsch, Taylor, Martin, Santa Fe, and tons more. Awesome selection of new and used amps with vintage options as well, plus the usual guitar accessories.
Great store. Fair-minded, knowledgeable and professional staff. This is as good as it gets.
This is my go to place in the city. Great selection of quality guitars, amps and pedals. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Ive had my guitar repaired twice by them. They always do quality professional work.
Probably one of the nicer guitar stores Ive been in. The only reason its not getting 5 stars is couple of Clerks that I dealt with just seemed very standoffish and a little bit pompous. The merchandise was excellent. They have a diverse selection of guitars both acoustic and electric and a wide variety of amplification in musical supplies. I guess for me I wanted them to be a little bit friendlier and less arrogant. I probably wont go there again but if youre in the area can you have a lot of money and you dont care about customer service you just want an expensive guitar this is definitely the place to go
Great selection, great location, very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful staff and management and less of the noxious cooler than thou arrogance you often get from guitar players in sales... but they should keep working on this, because this plague is something much of their vain community aspires to infect themselves with. Theres a world of difference between working with a pompous guitarist whos been trained to keep it in check and a guitar salesperson whos just a good person.
Guitar selection is a 5. Pedal selection is a 5. Amp selection is a 5, especially for vintage amps. And the acoustic selection is excellent. The only reason I didnt give the while place a 5 is the help. This has been mentioned in other reviews. This is, of course, a personal thing. When I go into a music store what I personally want is to look around for quite awhile and soak in the selection. If I have a question I will come ask. If I need your luthier service I will come and ask. That said, this is the store for selection and unique vintage instruments. So check it out.
Nice selection of new and used guitars
Just finished another GREAT transaction at Cream City Music. Im a weekend musician and have played guitar for nearly 50 years. After moving from Illinois in 2008, I was looking for another PRO-quality store and was thrilled when I found Cream City. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful, including the owner, Brian, who is hands-on. This is not your Guitar Center experience. The store has a friendly atmosphere and youre welcome to play anything in the store, but theres no barrage of power chords radiating through the air. They have a great selection of new, used and vintage gear, including some rarities. They also have a great luthier on site. I have always received top-notch service and great value - this is the BEST music store I have ever done business with. Thanks Brian, Mike, Ben, Chad & the rest.
Pretty cool music store. Anytime Ive called just to check a certain guitar. The staff at CCM have always been really helpful.
Really neat guitar store with a HUGE selection of new, used, and vintage electric and acoustic guitars, basses, pedals, and other accessories. The staff were very friendly, including the owner who came over to welcome us to his store and ended up chatting with us for 20 mins. The staff were also happy to let me try out all the guitars I wanted and were able to answer all of my questions.
The store is a feast for the eyes for any guitar lover; floor to ceiling, wall to wall guitars--who could ask for more? We have been in several times, but recently went to look for a new acoustic guitar. Chad and staff were amazing--friendly and attentive, but gave us our space to try as many as we liked. We found a breathtaking Guild at a great price. Chad was knowledgeable and had recommendations for storage. Outstanding experience. Would highly recommend and will return soon.
Read reviews for great assortment of inventory. However, emailed to ask questions & recommendations. Owner immediately replied to contact me next day. 3 days later sent another email without any reply even after 2 weeks. If this is regular customer service, I plan to take my business and recommend Guitar Center just down the road. Ive at least had people respond to me.
Guys were super friendly and spend alot of time with me so I could better understand what I am looking for in amp for my guitar
