So pleased from the very beginning to the end with Deanna from Allen Kitchen and Bath. She mustve provided me with 25-30 different designs; I just couldnt make up my mind! She was so patient and understanding with me but what stood out was that Deanna did not waiver with any of my initial choices. She gave firm, solid suggestions and so many options! I was like a kid in a candy store. When all of my custom choices began to become too pricey Deanna made recommendations on how we could save money and keep me afloat in the project. She kept me in the loop every step of the way. Understand that my bathroom was the most awful space! Crazy walls and weird closets-so cramped, dated, ugly and gross. It is now a fun, warming, open space with a great color scheme that I love. I cant believe the transition from what I had in July to what I am enjoying now. Deanna put together an incredible design and great teams to get the work done right, all in the middle of this crazy pandemic. I cant speak highly enough of her and her brilliant work. Deanna from Allen Kitchen and Bath-a real superstar!

This is hands down the worst experience of my life with a remodeling project. What should have been a simple bathroom gut and update went from a 1-month timeframe to a 3-month long fiasco of missed dates, unordered product, and mis-ordered product. Thank God I was heavily involved in the project as I wound up doing many things myself that were supposed to be taken care of by AK&B. I would not hire this company to remodel my worst enemy’s bathroom.I will say for the most part, the contractors that came to my home did do a great job, but the orchestration of the work was sorely lacking. If you can run away from AK&B do just that fast as you can and find someone else more reliable. Hiring them was and still is a headache I could do without.

DONT DO IT - Save yourself time and money by going elsewhere! Allen Kitchen and Bath has great service, smiles, and communication - UNTIL THEY GET YOUR MONEY. We started working with them in May. We were given a timeline for our remodel to start July 20 and be completed by November 17. Allen K&B recommended a name/place to use for financing - which we used to streamline the process (figuring they had a good working relationship). Laree wanted/suggested money up front to get started with the permits, etc... which she would reimburse us for when financing came through (and she wrote this in our paperwork and does it all the time). We were told that if we had the permits secured by the time financing came through, we could start right away (sounds logical). As soon as this significant deposit was given to them, Laree was unable to be reached or return an email/phone call. Amerifirst, who was doing the financing had a difficult time getting Allen K&B to sign and return documents as well. We had to resubmit paperwork to Amerifirst several times because so much time had passed that the documents needed to be updated. Amerifirst even suggested that we call/remind Allen K&B that documents were waiting on them to be signed to help move this process along. When Laree would eventually respond, she ALWAYS HAD AN EXCUSE - she thought someone else took care of it (she always blamed Deanna), it was lost in spam folders (come on, really?!), or the classic oh, can you resend it?! The 30 days it should have taken for financing turned into 4+ months while Allen K&B dragged their feet and our closing date got pushed back again and again. Meanwhile, we received little/NO information about what was happening with our deposit money or project for these 4 months despite multiple attempts to contact Laree. On October 5th we requested that they were to stop all work on our project until we could sit down with them. THEN, we were able to get a meeting with Laree and Gary. We voiced all of our concerns and heard excuse after excuse... the guy that was going to do your project cant be reached, we didnt like the terms that Amerifirst wrote/its their fault/you couldve gotten financing somewhere else (THIS WAS WHO [YOU] ALLEN RECOMMENDED...Oy), we thought Deanna was keeping you in the loop, and the kicker... we shut down for 8 weeks! HOW DO YOU NOT TELL YOUR CLIENTS THAT YOU SHUT DOWN FOR WEEKS!! We decided that these are not the people that we want/trust to do our rather large project. We requested our deposit back. Gary was quick to say that theyve spent $6,000 on Architect reviews. Well, our contract has the amount written as $2,000. So, their 30 day estimate took over 4 months, their $2,000 estimate is said to be $6,000... I cant imagine how much their estimated remodel would have actually cost?! We have yet to see any receipts regarding our deposit or the money spent - or even have them get back to us since our meeting.I wish we wouldve seen/read more of the reviews before working with Allen Kitchen & Bath. This is apparently nothing new for them. This has been a dream turned to a nightmare - one that is not over, and will now cost us in attorney fees as well...

I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen and Waypoint cabinets. Laree did a wonderful job designing our kitchen and I’m so happy I went with her design suggestions.  Glenn did a beautiful job installing the cabinets.  Remodeling is very stressful and on top of the COVID pandemic it was even more trying and demanding.  Allen Kitchen and Bath delivered on their promise to get cabinets installed by end of October. I was able to get everything else lined up as a direct result and things went pretty smoothly. We finished remodeling just in time for Thanksgiving.  We are enjoying cooking and spending family time in our new and beautiful kitchen.  Thank you Allen Kitchen and Bath! I definitely recommend them for your kitchen cabinet purchase or kitchen remodel needs. Their entire staff is great to work with.

Allen Kitchen & Bath just completed the remodel of my kitchen and new tile in one bathroom. I could not be happier with the result. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, professional and always helpful. Scott who did most of the work was exceptional! They made the whole experience a very good one, I highly recommend them.

Laree has been a great designer. The guy, Tim, that came to measure for the counter top was very friendly and focused on his work. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. The guys that delivered and installed the counter top were top notch. They were very nice, considerate and were careful with the install. The counter top that Laree helped us pick out is beautiful.

Had good help on the design side. The tradesmen were good. Once the job started, there was no checking up on the job by the designer. Scheduling was a nightmare, we never knew who was showing up or when. They used the wrong tradesmen to fix a brick wall repair. The job took much too long to complete.

I avoid negative reviews and rather take complaints to the business. Since I did do that for this business with no results I must share my experience so others are cautious with their money. While I was told they are a middle quality/price remodeler spending $20,000 to $25,000 should come with an overall good experience. Especially for people who are just looking for a fair price on professional remodeling from businesses bragging NARI membership and BBB approval, it should not be a problem to provide 100% satisfaction even though the products are not the high end type.I will say upfront I do like my bathroom remodel, it is a 1000% improvement from what I had. The plumber subcontractor was outstanding, electrician hopefully was good. The dissatisfaction comes with the drywall work being sloppy, cutting a hole in my vinyl siding without doing finish caulking around the vent fan and the tiler leaving a mess on my cement driveway.I know the driveway mess will wear off in time and I have someone who will finish caulk the vent, but the sloppy drywall work will just be there always. I suggest you confirm if they will have a finish drywaller to do your work, if they do not, hire your own finish drywaller, it is not worth it when this aspect is sloppy. It really stains what would have been a good job and there isn’t much to be able to fix it once done. I do have a drywaller who will touch up an area around the shower light for me, I will just have to accept the rest of the imperfections as part of the character of my home.Stay very engaged with your project and be sure the finishing is supervised while in progress so you can make sure all the instructions are followed and the work quality is great. The finish is very important, you need to watch the work at this point of the project. It should not cost more to be done properly!

If you are considering hiring this company, Allen Kitchen and Bath for any remodel BEWARE....! I had two small bathrooms remodeled. Before the project started, I was e-mailed a message that they were unable to reach their electrician. The first was just a vanity and new tub surround. It took 5 weeks for the project to be completed. The final outcome was disappointing. Tile work orginally done by an unqualified worker needed to be replaced. The vanity is 36 inches instead of the usual 34 inches which required the moving of the electrical outlet. The second bath was worse. It was a remodel raising the ceiling in the existing shower, putting new tile over the existing tile floor, new toilet and new vanity. The remodel took from the 1st week of July until the 1st week of September. Solid surface walls were installed in the shower. This was done so poorly, they had to be redone. There was a crack put in one of the walls during the process which was repaired, but you can still see the crack. A 1 x 3 inch tile was cracked in the tile inset and just grouted in rather than being replaced. A corner of the floor tile needed to be replaced and reinstalled because it slopped toward the wall. There was no order to how tradespeople came to do their work. The wall trim was installed before the walls were repaired leaving a gap. Despite many requests I be told when I could paint to avoid working around installed fixtures, I came home to find the toilet and vanity installed. There are more issues, but rather than deal with them any longer, we paid them and moved on. In a nut shell, they had unqualified people doing work, there was no oversite by management, and pretty much didnt hear from them. Communication was usually over e-mail, which if you work, you did not see until after their business hours. I have read stories like this from other reviews. Despite the BBB rating of A-, which was very misleading. Stay way unless you want to pay thousands and be disappointed.
