Always a reliable store for some reasonably decent clothes in quality, stylishness. Thos stores womens plus dept was pretty weak in selection but it seems as if some sort of water damage or something had maybe affected the area? There was construction tape around some spots. Also, weirdly the lighting suddenly dimmed in the changing room.

Smelled like rotten eggs in the store. Water dripping from everywhere. The selection of whatever my girlfriend was looking for was gone. Over all, will not go back. Didnt even feel safe having my daughter in the stroller walking through the store. Terrible.

I was purchasing baby clothes- told the cashier I didn’t need a bag as I had reusable tote in the stroller. She became very upset saying it was company policy that items needed to be in a bag otherwise security would search me on the way out. I told her that would be fine if they searched me, I have the receipt and items would be in a bag I already have (reusable). Again she was very defensive and said it’s store policy that customers leave with a plastic bag (this is terrible for the environment). Cashier then told the person waiting in line behind me that I was a trouble maker and implied I could by clothing at a different store if I don’t like plastic bags. Believe me, I will most definitely be shopping at any other store than JC Penny. This location is already in shambles- they’re lucky they were getting any business at all…. Very frustrating.

The store should be open until 8pm, but they figured 5 minutes early was okay. Customer service guy said his register was closed so I couldnt get my pick up item and now I have to come back to the store. Maybe stay open until your posted hours indicate.

Cheep shoes. I returned them for a better quality shoe down at the end of the mall.

Stopped in to buy mens cologne. They didnt have much of a selection.Update: Theyve responded with a link to buy online as though I couldnt figure that out – I stopped in to check new fragrances. How do you do that online? No response would have been better. Get the point and improve your in-store selection, owner!

Came here looking for a dress to wear for a wedding. A lot of selections but didnt find one. Very limited open dressing rooms. One near the dresses and upstairs where the bras are (back in the corner) not clearly marked.

Bad. No underwear that was worth ventilator thinking about buying. First floor is alright. But clothing is very outdated.

You can tell that the store is changing hands. As of 24 Nov 2020 you can see the thinning out of merchandise some things marked as low as 60 to 70% off . Theyre starting to move out the JCPenney merchandise and make room for new things or maybe close the store all together. Im not sure what the new owners will do.

A dying department store.My wife goes there for a particular stylist.I walk then sit in the tiny lounge area, after doing this for years I am told its not a waiting area, so please leave?

Overzealous employee made looking for a Sunday dress disappointing. I want staff to help me but she was more interested in policing the changing rooms.

First time in the store here. It feels like a step back in time as a typical brick & mortar store. Made the visit specific for the photograph group. Staff were excellent courteous and helpful. In and out quick. Pricing was fair.

Manager Norma helped me promptly and patiently at the service counter with a return issue I was having during a transaction with another employee. I cant imagine a better work environment when you have management like her! :) So Kind, patient, relatable and understanding!

JC Penney had a great sale going on. They have quality clothes and home goods. There was a smaller selection of home goods. But if youre looking for clothes --especially nice dresses for special occasions they are stocked. Lastly, they had signs all over the store that said if you load the JCP app youd find coupons. We saved $30 on $80+ dollars of merchandise with the coupon. Overall great store

Great Black Friday deals on jewelry

No stars, I bought a microwave there and paid them to install it. Two weeks later I still dont have a microwave because they messed up the delivery dates. Called five people to change it to store pick-up, never got an answer if that could be done? The guy who sold it to me, I called and talked to him to have this done. He told me I needed to come into the store and talk to the ladies and they could help me. He has no idea what he is doing Im afraid. I still have not heard anything about who or when they would come to install it. I went in and again no answers. I asked for a full refund. Dont waste your time trying to buy appliances there. Its not worth the hassle of the horrible service.

Associate showed me to the hats & left me on my own to look around. I found a hat I liked. It did not have a price tag. It took me approximately 10minutes to find a clerk. When I did, she was very helpful but it took a good 20 minutes or better before a manager put a price on it. When I took it to the cashier she rang up the wrong price. It then took another 5 minutes for a manager got to the counter to make the correction. Many items on the floor did not have prices & locating someone to help is time consuming. My shopping experience was not pleasant. There were very few shoppers at the time I was there. I would hesitate to shop there if it were busy and needed assistance.

It just seems as if there is no helpthere and no common sense for the ones who are there. 2 employees helping 1 customer in the catalog department for 10 minutes. Then trying to find a price on comforter sets- signs all around them with 40%off but off what ??? Then find someone to ask. Hate that because Ive always loved Jcpennys. I will say the drapery department is always good.

Havent been to a JCPenney in a long time. Considering shopping more here as a lot of they department stores appear to be closing. Theyve a nice product mix and appliances too and the photo studio where you can get your family photos done.
