Great selection...there were so many good finds! The store overall was well organized, clean, and fairly crowded with shoppers. I would say the staff was lacking in friendliness and seemed to not notice or care whether patrons were in the store or not.

Its an ok place if youre looking to buy. But beware of youre selling, they will rip you off big time. I watched them buy a game for $5.00 and in 3-4 hours put that game on the shelf for $100. Its a shame they make huge profits off of people desperation. If selling youre better off selling on EBay.

Ive been a half price books shopper for years. Theyve always had a decent stock, kept the store clean and known their products quite well. The employees are always friendly and helpful here.

Fantastic store! They have such a great selection every time I go there. The staff is helpful and friendly and can help you find anything you need. They have more than just books too. They have a little bit of everything, including toys, mugs, sketch books, vinyl records, DVDs, VCR tapes, trinkets, and so much more. There is something for everyone. Youd be hard pressed to not find something new and interesting on a regular basis.

The place is amazing - wandering down each isle, perusing the titles of books and authors you forgot you loved until you see them again, discovering new authors, and finding random items that delight you - I could spend hours in this store. This is hands down the best place to shop for gifts for my friends and family (and myself!).

Love a used book store. Parking lot is a bit confusing with spots the Im not sure which way your supposed to park in, but not the sores fault. The store is great, a little thinned out during the pandemic but getting better.

The workers here go above and beyond. They helped find my receipt and provided a return with no hassle. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Highly recommend!

Unfriendly staff. Didnt even bother to make eye contact to deliver one-word responses to my questions.Now I remember why I buy books on Amazon, and next time I need to unload some books Ill just go to Goodwill and save myself the trouble. Problem solved.

Books! You either like books or you dont. Sometimes the place is a little extra dusty, i only interact with the cashiers, usually, and they are usually pretty nice and such. Obviously not an extensive collection, some rare finds here and there. Good stuff.

One of the last standing brick and mortar used book stores. They have a decent selection of used (and new) books across generes.Prices are Ok. Many books should be priced at less than half price.If youre looking to unload your used books, youll get pennies on the dollar.I enjoy stopping at Hapf Price Books from time to time, but theres little that makes it a stand-out experience.

Selling? Expect to wait in vehicle or in store. Had to wait 30 min before items could even be dropped off at resale counter for inspection. Was offered so little for the volume of what I brought in. Less than $2. Unless I have a rare item, Ill donate everything elsewhere. Staff used to be friendlier too...understandably, everyones stressed/concerned these days.

I always end up spending more money than I plan & could easily still triple that!

I normally enjoy going to HPB. We were just there for an hour waiting to be called up for someone to look at the items we’d brought in to sell. We checked in at the counter to sell, they took my name down and said they’d call us up when they were ready to look through our stuff. An hour later and my name was never called, but others had been.

Fantastic store with great deals and a variety of items. Could use a bit more variety and lesser known books, but other than that its a great store, with some of the friendliest staff.

I appreciated the employee who requested a gentleman customer put his mask over his nose. I mean really, you might as well not wear the mask if youre not going to cover your nose. Their staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the locations and the inventory without having to look it up. My only complaint was the surprisingly low amount offered for the 75 books I turned in. 9 of them were sci-fi printed in the 70s, one of them was a first edition. Their offer was only $11.

Not a bad location. Tons of selection for games videos books etc at low prices. Many things marked down further. Great for shopping.Would not recommend coming here to try to sell your books. As many other reviews have indicated, they give very low offers for your books, etc. Every time (3 times over the last 3 years) we have come to try to sell things, we are offered $1 - $3 for bags/boxes full of items. I understand not everything we bring is gold but the amount is so low its hard to justify bothering with it at all.They also dont itemize their offer, so if you have one book they want for $2 and others they only want to give, say, $0.05 for, you have no idea which items are the valuable ones because they only offer the amount for the whole lot, take it out leave it.This is probably because of supply and demand, especially now after being closed and not being able to sell anything for a few months as well a consumers being out of work and trying to offload anything and everything for more money.

Stopped in looking for a present for my wife. Asked a couple employees for help. Everything was good. Couldnt find a couple books, organization seemed weird to me.

They tons of books all categorized by topic. You never know what youre going to find.

Gotta love a Half Price Books location. This location takes COVID seriously with directions and capacities for people being in the building. They have a great selection of books, music and movies like all the other locations, and you never know what you might find here! Staff is very polite and I love coming here on my breaks.

They are thieves. Took advantage of my loss and distraught emotional state. They have not responded to try and fix the situation. Last HPB I would ever consider. I hope they go out of business!If I could rate them with negative stars I would give them all five.

Strong-armed me into trading in $1500 worth of books, DVDs and games for $64. All that were brought in were either somewhat rare or very in-demand.Woman who was doing pricing was very rude and snarky. While she was scanning the items it was clear she was judging what books were brought in. Im guessing she probably deleted some of what I brought in to lower price. Essentially told me that you give us the lot, we give you the price and you take it.Person before me was offered 60 cents for multiple seasons of DVDs. The guy who was scanning items for her also seemed to be judging what was brought in and was very rude.They also kept my bankers boxes.Place used to be great and have friendly employees. Has gone far downhill.

Let’s start off by simply stating that this place is great! Upon entering you are greeted by shelves upon shelves of cheap, well maintained books and more. To make it even better, the store is very cute and welcoming and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME! They had everyone wear masks, social distance, and sanitized things. Everythings always pretty cheap, and they have good customer service, but not to much that people are constantly swarming you.

I needed to run here to get something. I am extremely asthmatic and have other lung issues and cannot wear a mask and they were really rude about it. I told them several times that I couldn’t wear it due to asthma and they made me wear it anyways and I ended up having to go to the hospital

I find a lot of the books and collectibles that I cant always find at other places and the prices are pretty good and my kids find things they want there as well

I dont know who their vinyl buyer is but their vinyl selection is one of the worst Ive seen! Most of the albums they have belong in the dollar bin. The outer sleeves are very worn with overpriced stickers on them. Not only that, they rip you off if youre trying to sell books or any media for that matter.

This place is an awesome place to shop for books! Every time I go Im literally stuck in there for hours without even realizing it. My only criticism is that the prices they give you when selling to them are extremely low and they will not break it apart by individual book they will only give you a package price for all of the books you brought in. So Im all for buying their but selling is not really a great choice I feel better donating the books Im done with. But if nobody told to them then they would have no inventory so I guess its the circle of life, right?

Horrible customer service.I was not greeted when I first came into the store, not even a hello. When I went to pay for my books I again was not greeted, the cashier had a strong attitude and it didnt seem like he wanted to be there.He asked me if I had any change because they were low on coins and I offered $4 in quarters so they could have a good amount of coins because I wanted to be nice, but he apparently didnt want to count it. Money is money.Then when I left he didnt even talk, just gave me a dirty look like I offended him or something. I spent a lot of money here today and the last thing I want is to go into a business that doesnt show that they value their customers.I will not return to this location, Absolutely ridiculous and not acceptable customer service.

Great place for the harder to find reading, has what you would expect for all walks of life and some hidden gems. Well worth a walk thru and is for sure budget friendly.

Dont pay much, charge mire than half price, but it was more profitable than waiting on an online sale, throwing it out, or hoping charity takes it

This is my favorite HPB location. At least 1 staff member acknowledges you upon walking through the door. I love their clearance section the most. Its a decent size and you can always find good items. They have at least 1 seating area to just hangout and enjoy. Theres also a decent childrens selection with a spot to sit with your child while you figure out what to get.

In the pandemic the store is now open, but incredibly clean, open, and organized. I was very happy to visit the store again, and was pleasantly surprised by how well the store was managing the restrictions. The number of customers was limited, but I had no trouble getting in.

Dont bring stuff in to sell until you check inside if you can bring it in. Theyre trying to be super careful.

Nice variety of used books, mostly in good to great condition and truly half the cost of a new book. They are well organized and employees are happy to help. I usually walk out with a combination of fiction and nonfiction books that just looked interesting. They also have puzzles and used games, video games, and media. I recently sold books here, most of which came from hpb. The prices were better than Id get at a rummage sale and so much easier. Still much less than they sell them for, understandably, since they need to make a profit. Good way to kill a little time.

Books are well organized. I was able to find dozens of quality books to entertain the kids this summer at much less than half price!

I always have a great experience here. I usually bring some books to sell and shop around while I wait for my offer. The store is clean and organized. I always spend my time in the literature section, and I usually find one or two books from my “to read” list to purchase. Also, they offer great perks for teachers!

Such a large variety of items here! More than just books! I found just the other day, that they have a nook with metal signs for sale. Good prices on them and in very good condition. They also have vinyl records, books on tape, DVDs, puzzles, video games for several consoles, and some stuffed animals for kids! Helpful and friendly staff - fair prices! They have a very organized system for displaying their lightly used books and if you are having a hard time finding something they are willing to help. Just ask someone who works there.

It was a cool spot. Never had been there before. I happened to go there due to me cleaning up my brothers appt. And he had Xbox games that was still sealed and Gamestop suggested them. There store is soo cute. Plenty of things to look at. Good customer service and they where good with following covid-19 guidelines.

Prices not as good as used to be.

I always prefer used book stores with their scent of old paper and memories. The chain is always hit and miss with some smaller locations, but this particular location really pulled through. They have a good some of role playing books, and were pretty fair with our trade ins.My only note is that I would ask to try any electronics before you buy because we got a PS3 controller there, and the battery for not hold charge. We dont really game that often so by the time we tested it at home, it was too late to return it.Every other experience has been really positive, friendly, and clean, work high quality books.
