We moved to Bristol several months ago and have been to Mountain Sports Ltd a few times. Each time we have received excellent Service. We have had expert mountain bike repair from Cody and he recommended some other parts that we purchased and he installed. Recently we needed cold weather gear for a trip to Colorado, the owner came out and personally helped us pick out the right gear for the trip. Yes, there are lots of choices to buy gear and equipment, but rarely can you find great prices on top name gear and great service at the same place like you can here at Mountain Sports Ltd in Bristol!

Shop local! If we dont awesome shops like this one will not be around. They are more knowledgeable, by far, than the big box stores. Super friendly staff too!

They have all the gear for camping boating biking climbing hiking Fishing running... all the fun stuff and maps and knowledge to share. Helped us with bikes for our kids. Love this shop and the people who make it great!

Super friendly folks that are knowledgeable working here. We walked in, bought two Yaks without any hassle or aggravation, then my dude came out and helped load them up. We chatted for a while and both of us found out about some new places to paddle. Full line of sporting goods from apparel, climbing, kayaking, biking, fishing, etc. Don’t let this place slip by you!

Every time I go in here, it seems, I end up talking to an informative staff member about something gear related, and they are so courteous, professional, and friendly, they almost always introduce themselves with a hand shake, which impresses me. Cant wait to spend a whole lot more money here in the coming months as I hopefully prepare for a long walk South on the AT from the TN VA line. Maybe I could get similar stuff at walmart for much less but I really believe in small businesses, this one has been a good part of our city for 38 years, and the quality of the stuff you get here really is way superior.

I found this stores selection to be incredibly limited and over priced. When they didn’t have what I was looking for, I felt pushed by staff to buy something in their stock that simply wasn’t comparable. It was an uncomfortable experience.

Me and my Lab puppy stopped in today to LOOK around and ended up with a bag full of stuff.I can not express enough how helpful and nice the staff was.Usually when i take my dog into stores i get i bad feeling...but not here they all played with him and even held him while I tried on some awesome pants.needless to say I purchased the pants and several other items mostly due to the sales peoples great demeanor towards my dog and myself!!They just earned a lifetime customer A+++++

Mountain Sports is just an awesome all around place for your outdoor recreational needs. The ppl here are always friendly and eager to help. They have an awesome selection of fly fishing gear, kayaks, bicycles, and clothing from several different brand names. They have a local fishing guide that works there that is very knowledgeable about the local rivers and he will spend all the time talking with you that you want to talk. The majority of their merchandise is priced below the competition. They also have layaway on most items.. Its a local small business and it is definitely worth going their over the major chain stores. Stop in and look around even if your not looking to buy and youll be surprised at what all they have to offer.

My go to location for anything outdoors. The staff here are super knowledgable and share it freely. Seriously, for all the incredibly cool outdoor stores Ive wandered through over the years, nothing ever compares to the folks at Mountain Sports.

Very helpful staff. I was looking for a fishing kayak and over a two day period I visited this business and decided on the Perception Pescador Pro 12. Great yak! Ive had it in the water twice since I bought it 2 days ago and it has met my expectations.The folks helping me were friendly and very knowledgeable.Prices were fair for this type of water craft.I also looked around the store and they are well prepared to help with a variety of outdoor pursuits; fly fishing, climbing, camping, clothing, hiking. I suggest they are worth checking out.

Best outdoor shop east of the Mississippi - I have lived in Colorado for 4 years and always make it a point to stop in MSL when i am visiting family in Bristol. Being in the mecca of the outdoor world, I have yet to find the same customer service, friendliness, and product selection in Colorado that MSL provides. All around best outdoor store in the East. You will NOT be disappointed.

Stopped here the morning after Christmas. I was not sure they would even be open. I arrived at 930 and found they did not open until 10. I was scheduled to ride at a local place at 10 so I figured I would knock on the door and ask them if they could sell me some shoes and pedals even tho they had not opened yet. To my surprise they invited me inside and helped me with everything I needed and I was on my way. A+ coustmer service and great prices! They absolutely earned a lifetime coustmer. Shop local! No box store will ever be this helpful to a fellow rider!
