Service was great. Storm caused an electrical outage down the road which affected the restaurant. They continued to serve customers by using their broilers and generator. Menu became limited, but served with style.

Came from NY and enjoyed the food. The diner specials were like meals youd get at a 5 star restaurant but 1/2 the price. Quick, courteous, and clean with many food choices whether meat or veggie lovers. I had the golden pigeon chicken dinner meal and was tender, awesome and great flavors. Would go again in a flash. Spoke with the owner and explained how his father liked raising doves and pigeons, thus the name. Great family business. Support local.

It feels like home from the moment you set foot on the property. This is a true hometown diner experience- its whimsical and cozy. The staff is kind and doting. They make sure youre getting what you want at the most economical price. Plus, you feel a sense of genuine community. When you come here you should wear your heart on your sleeve and stretchy pants!
Had bugs in rice!They said impossible!If it has legs it is a bug! Wouldnt reimburse. I paid 28.00 . Will never go again. If you eat there examine your food closely. I had been going there for over 30 years. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Prime rib-perfect. Stuffed shells-perfect. Sauce on the shells- burnt. Meatballs overcooked & very dry. The service, however, was top-notch! Our server, I think his name was Tim or Timmy, was amazing. He was personable, humorous and entertaining. I would go back a hundred times just for his service!

My compliments to the chef. I ordered steak well done, and it came back well done and tender to eat. My only complaint about golden pigeon is that most of the time, they dont have good sides, although this time they did.

The waitress Joanne was extremely happy and nice so when you go ask for her. The food was also good. There is also a dish they make called a toasted cinimine bun and it is so 👍.

DO NOT EAT HERE.I went to this place tonight and had the worst experience ever. First we tell them that we have a little one that is lactose intolerant and they bring out cheesy bread and don’t tell us that there is cheese in it until we say something about it being undercooked because it seemed doughy inside it due to the cheese.Then as we are ordering our food we get the soups brought out to us and they are freezing cold. They were below the legal temperature to be served. When the actual food came out the Mac and cheese was rubber as well as the scallops. My burger had to be sent back multiple times the first issue was it came out without the cheese and pickle as well as the coleslaw that was supposed to come with it. The burger was freezing cold and over cooked. I sent it back to be remade and it came back out RAW the outside of it was still red. The fries were also freezing cold. The orders were ALL messed up. The spaghetti spice was burnt and old. All the food was bland. We were able to get a glance in the kitchen on the way out and saw the fact that they do NOT change their gloves between touching different things. We witnessed them touching chicken then putting it down and picking up a bun.The owner did not care about any of these issues when we brought them to his attention. He says he has been going for 30 years this place is a health code violation and should be shut down.I do not recommend eating here.
Very good local family restaurant. Being 24 hours its very convenient for this area. However, they forgot my bacon, mashed potatoes and butter so I was a bit disappointed

Delicious food! Friends brought me here raving about how good this place is. Definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the honey dipped chicken and it was EVERYTHING. Big portions and cheap prices. Practice covid safety too so no worries here. Staff was very friendly too

It is a dine in dinner with take out options. I have been a customer for over 20 years. Its a 24 hour operation and has been a staple of the Community for years. An EXTENSIVE food and desert menu. Juice and carbonated beverages are available at an affordable price. For about $48 I can feed 5 of us a better meal than McDonalds, which would run me about $30. Good atmosphere and GREAT customer service.
First time at the Golden Pigeon and we were not disappointed! Clean, comfy diner with enough comfort food items on the menu to satisfy any palette. The French fries here are AMAZING!!! Our Waiter was top notch as well, We will definitely be coming back!
We were a party of 10 tonight. Marana sauce was so dark, almost black. Someone over cooked it. The food was almost inedible and served cold but with the actual plate hot. Never going back.

After losing our beloved grandmother last year, my family sought out the comfort of this establishment following her funeral. The staff at the Golden Pigeon didn’t blink an eye at our large party of 20 and instead provided excellent service and a memory of family that we will cherish forever. Love this place, its my local diner. They really make food to order and are happy to customize it. I love thst even in these times they are open 24/7 so i can come any time i want even if its the middle of the night. They have AMAZING fresh baked goods. By far my favorite late night/all night spot

Favorite diner in town! My family and I have been eating breakfast here every Sunday since I was kid. Highly recommend The ribeye steak and three eggs 👌 and is perfect for a late night snack. We celebrated birthdays, Mothers Day and Fathers day under the tent. The service was great and the food is always so good. The banana cream pie was some of the best we ever had. Even though you have to eat under the tent, they make it work very well.
I can only rate breakfast as that is the only meals I have had here. Eggs omelets chipped beef sausage gravy. I have had everything breakfast except pancakes. Food has always been good and the servers have always been nice. Also they have pastry and cakes which are very good and rich.
Ive been eating there now for about 10 to 15 years its still a great place to eat, theyre taking precautions for the virus, and its a great place for take outs . Not to mention the food is very good. my favorite is the soup and the prime rib.

I love going to the Golden Pigeon,on a recent visit to NJ from Florida. I went with family to celebrate an Adoption.I ordered what I thought was the stuffed flounder mini meal. My usual when visiting the G. P. To my surprise it came out just flounder. Had we not had 2 young children with us that were already antsy from sitting in a court house for a couple hours. I would have returned to the kitchen. Not that there was anything wrong with it at all. But, just not what I really wanted. Ill be back again on my next trip to NJ and Ill make sure to not order by number but by the stuffed flounder mini meal with Greek salad,fries and pickled beets. Order it every time😁

Wasnt very satisfied at all especially for the prices but that being said when our food was delivered we found a hair in my granddaughters food. And when we brought it to the attention of the waitress cuz she just put the plate down I seem to be an issue so we know that they rewarm the same food over and they even burnt the top of it a little bit in the oven and gave it back to us so we refuse to take it back we ordered something else and finally my granddaughter was so disgusted with the outcome that we just decided you know she didnt want anything there other than the desert. But I brought it to the attention of the manager he had kind of an attitude I said well we replaced another whole meal you made us waste at 1. Really it there was hair in the food. Ive been in the situation or two like this once in awhile but not too often where maybe we give you credit on the meal or they give you a discount neither was offered. The manager was young I can take you to have kind of an attitude so I spoke to him I said listen you also on the Golden Pigeon Diner which I love Ive gone there for over 30 years and youre telling me that a customer of over 30 years is unhappy and youre not doing anything to fix this Im definitely going to speak with the manager of the door of the Golden Pigeon Diner as you all on the same buildings. And he decided even with an attitude still to give us credit for that meal. It was a birthday dinner which made it worse. The atmosphere could be better it manager could take some classes on how to prove managerial skills. We or very disappointed.
