A very interesting place. A blast from the past but also current as far as maple syrup. The proprietor takes pride in working there for 44 years. Can tell you stories and treat you like family. Several varieties of syrup, candy, knick knacks, cook books., Crafts, a must stop.
I am not sure why anyone is would dislike the museum and the store. Cool and interesting history of maple syrup with possibly the only store carrying such a variety of the syrups. Tasting was awesome. Included with the museum admission. The woman working at the museum is kind, knowledgeable and patient answering 70 questions from my kids. Extra points for the wall of shame - brands who produce “ maple syrup with 0% syrup in it. Ha!! That was fun.
Not really a museum more of a gift shop and general store. I did learn the difference in colors of maple syrup. It was an experience to say the least. They are friendly and gave good suggestions and advice
We always stop here and take the mong way home to do it. Adds about an hour onto our trip but we like to get the syrup! Its a small little shop on the side of the road but we always enjoy looking around.
It is a nice place to stop in. A variety of different things. A bit over priced and they like to talk a lot. They are originally from CT and they just go on and on. We got some cheese and a walking stick. Would I make it a point to stop there again not really but nice to just check out what they have.
Shopkeepers were very friendly and helpful.
Visited here for the first time. We met the owner and the owners daughter, such nice people. They have owned and operated this location since 1940.Here at the museum you will find endless supplies of souvenirs, Knick knacks also T-SHIRTS with the Vermont logo for a memory of your trip to this area of Vermont. If you are a collector of small ornaments or knick knacks and trinkets then this is definitely the place for you. They have a little bit of everything from souvenirs and keepsakes as far as tourist shopping is concerned. You will find they have their own brand of maple syrup and preserves, also the infamous Vermont cheese is available here. You can find handmade baskets and decorations for your home also.If you have time stop in and see for yourself what the Vermont maple museum is all about.#Smash the like button if my review has been helpful for you! 😆Have a beautiful day!!!😊👍😁
All kinds of wonderful things. Great souvenir shoppe.
A huge selection and excellent staff
Great selection of Vermont specialties! Of course, we stopped to get some maple syrup.
Nicely run and good for experiencing Vermont culture, loved the syrup.
This is not a museum. This is a general store that sells goods.
It sucked I couldnt breath in there literally it was incredibly hard for me to breath
Lady very informed. And knows just how alleorks
I come up from Connecticut at 5 times a year I go to my buddies cabin right around the corner of this little shop I make a point to stop here and I always seem to buy maple syrup and other things the owner is a very nice lady like talking to her about her dogs since I am a dog lover too found out she too is from Connecticut I highly recommend you make a stop here if you are in the area
Great little shop! The shop owner was really great and patient with us. Her shop had a good selection of Vermont maple syrup plus some other really great nic nacs. Definatly a must stop!

Loved this store! Nice choice of this and that, whatever youre looking for.
Super cute little tourist store.
Very nice. Friendly, warm welcome. Family run business. All sorts of goodies, very reasonably priced. Will definitely return on my next trip up.
Been going there since I was little its still the same great cheese maple syrup and a great store
Nice small place to find area specific items.
Great pit stop for VT gifts and/or souvenirs!
First time visiting this place..... The cheese is delicious, the candy is scrumptious and the gift items are adorable. Definitely going to visit again.
Cute stop on a long drive
If youre passing by, its worth the stop just to talk to the feisty lady that owns the place and has for the last 40+ years. Grab yourself some horseradish cheddar, a stick of pepperoni and a cold blueberry/lemon soda.
Fun little store, lots of variety. The woman who owns it is just the sweetest!
Had a nice variety of gifts, maple products + cheeses. Looking forward to visiting Vermont + this little shop again
Nice quaint, quick stop. cheeses, venison, maple syrup etc. Rt.9 is awesome on the bike !!!
Lovely amazing cheese, beautiful wood cutting boards, creative maple sodas, and the woman working here was just so kind. 10/10
Oh my! This place is a must see! I absolutely love the variety of things there! Everything maple! Lots of Vermont souvenirs and reasonably priced too. You really must stop here!
Dark maple syrup, good selectiongreat customer service, easy to find .
Lovely lady who owns and runs it. Nice selections theres something for everyone and service with a smile. Syrups, wines, cheeses jams and so much more not just maple syrup.
Family owned old fashion little shop. They make you feel you are family. Great place
We visited a couple different shops while passing through Vernont, but this was our favorite. The owner was super friendly... I got the required maple syrup, many types to choose from, and the maple mustard was yummy.
Small but filled to the brim store. They have an assortment of VT gifts, no VT spoons on the day I visited though. Syrup, cheese, and candy are here.
Nice little country store, an assortment of maple products but certainly not a maple museum.
Loved this shop on the side of road. If you are looking for unique, fun gifts for yourself or a loved one this is the place.
Had a fun time looking at all of what Vermont has to offer. Friendly employees and just enjoyed the visit.
Nice selection of Vermont food products and souveniors. Very little information regarding the museum, more of a gift shop. Good place to stop and stretch your legs.
Just stumbled across this place on our trip from Michigan and decided to check it out and glad we did, really cool shop.
Total rip off for tourist. Nothing really to see. Overpriced. Not entertaining at all. Its just a shop of jams. Cheeses. Baskets, and maple syrup. Some hand crafted old materials.
While it’s a nice little shop and the woman who owns it is very nice I didn’t see a single thing about syrup history? It’s just a nice gift shop so we were a little disappointed
I enjoyed my visit, purchased a few items. Will definitely stop there again.
Great little shop to pick up local Vermont products (cheese, syrups, sausages, jams,etc...) and souvenirs! Owner was friendly and helpful!
It is delicious! Sooooo New England
Nice place to visit good maple syrup .
Cozy inside and they were very friendly. Purchased a couple of sovenir tee shirts they are of good quality and reasonable priced.
Stopped for cheese, smoked pepperoni and fudge :) yummy!!Local cheese, syrup, artists and souvenirs
If you want pure Vermont maple syrup, pure Vermont cheese, pure Vermont honey & delicious fudge, this is the place.
Smelled like...well, unpleasant.
Nice place and a neat place to just look around. The mountains of Vermont are beautiful.
Get all your maple syrup related goodies here! And the two ladies that were working are hilarious!
The ladies at this place were awesome and friendly!!
Not a museum at all, just a gift shop/country store. The prices here are slightly better than at the Hogback Mountain gift shop, but the selection isnt as good.
Sweet people who own it and very helpfull.
Nice country gift store with a great selection of syrups and cheeses! Nice baskets and trinkets too!
A little side of the road gem. All the staples like cheese and syrup with suprise trinkets and local wines!
Nice country store for souvenirs and typical Vermont sweets
Very nice store!
Nice stop,lots of stuff
Very nice and lots of goodies
Very authentic. Good quality for price.
Nice gift shop with friendly staff
Very cute! Worth the stop
I knew it was mostly a store but theres no museum aspect at all. With the name, I had expected some kind of exhibit talking about history of maple industry in VT.But just a lot of expensive stuff, and a very grumpy clerk.
Very quaint store.
Great place to visit
Wide selection of jams, maple syrup, and local trinkets.
Cool place
Outdated inventory
Nice little store for different types of cheese and Maple Syrup
