I have to reiterate a previous post: Theres a reason Alan has had a thriving business for 40 years. He is an honest expert and like someone else said, always would give me the straight scoop on my Saab, --what needed to be done, - what could wait (until I had a bit more cash) etc. I trust him like family and he has never, ever let me down. I would totally drive two hours to have him work on my car, but unfortunatley Im in Santa Fe now. When I lived in Brattleboro, I bought a car from him and he cared for it for 10 years. Again, trust him completely!

I was a happy customer for years until I moved closer to my mother, 2 hrs away. Now, I am seriously considering driving the 2 hrs one way, staying overnight on a friends couch, and driving home the next day so Alan and Paul can tell me whats wrong with my 2000 Volvo. Over the years, they have told me where I can cut corners, where I wicked cant, and always explained what was wrong with the car in clear terms. I really miss having them locally available and Id be very happy to buy a car through Alan.

The most unprofessional immature salesmen Ive ever talked to! Do not give this guy Alan Scott any business. I inquired about a car he was selling and I found something else during my search. He then harassed me, called me and sent me a smart ass email days later all because I didnt get back to him because I was extremely busy. After I left this same review on other sites warning people about him he then lied and said I was disgruntled that he sold the car to someone else! And the car (2006 Ford Ranger) is still posted for sale on his site! This guy is a piece of work, I never bad mouth places but everyone needs to see how much of a scumbag this guy is. DO NOT give this pathetic loser any business. Heres the random uncalled for email he sent me days after I inquired about the car on carguros. And theres a whole thread of his disrespectful childish responses!sir, obviously youre just a garden variety tire kicker whos looking for a giveaway. The shop owner helped me figure out what was wrong with my car when other mechanics were scratching their heads in confusion.He was honest and explained the affected systems clearly.

Expert repair, local service, good with SAAB and Subaru. Used mint cars too.
