Have purchased several pieces of audio gear from Mario at Audio Workshop. He is a straight shooter and has some good deals on new and used equipment. Fortunately, I havent had to have any gear repaired by the shop, but if I do I would certainly trust he would do a good job.
Great service and friendly guidance. 5 stars.
Mario is an Honest and very skilled technician. Will be bringing all my turntable repairs to him from now on. Very reasonable prices too!Mario stands 100% behind his work; if there is a problem, you can be sure he will take care of it. He cares about the satisfaction of his customers. Thanks Mario, you nailed the issue with my turntable!
Brought my TEAC reel to reel (circa 1977) to Audio Workshop for a once over and couldn’t be more pleased. Mario took the time to explain all that was done to get my machine running as good as new. He put in a little extra effort that was well worth it. Make Audio Workshop your 1st choice. You won’t be disappointed.
Mario is the real deal, dont know what this town will do when the last of the old school repair shops are gone. Took my 20 year old Sony in for some CD repair, he got my favorite old unit working again! Thanks Mario,Craig (Sony Book Shelf unit with 5 cd player)
Had an issue with a new cartridge.Mario took his time and made the saveHe’s the man. Knows his stuff
Turntable needed minor adjustment after service; Mario took care of the issue while I went out for lunch. Returned and the unit was ready to go! Now that is what I call stellar service! Trust Mario with all of your audio repair needs. Not many people are this qualified to service a 45 year turntable! Will
Very cool shop, glad to have this great local repair shop. Diagnosed and fixed a solder issue on the speaker terminals on my Denon receiver and now it performs flawlessly. Thanks so much!
If you have speakers that have the rubber cones wore out, this is the place to make them like new again! In todays day, theres lots of speakers that are not worth fixing, but if you have good quality speakers that just need some love, take them to Mario and he will make them good as new. Hes done three for me, and I couldnt be happier.
Audio Workshop fixed up an old Zenith combination turntable/cassette deck / 8-track / tuner / amp for my parents. It works beautifully now. Fair price and easy to work with.
I drop my NAD Tuner off on a Friday Talk to Mario very polite honest place to do business had it back by Monday. Hook it up works like a charm. I wouldnt hesitate to use Audio Workshop again. Thank you GREAT JOB!!!!
I brought in a pair of Vintage Klipsch speakers that were handed down to me as a gift from family that passed away. One speaker was not producing up to par as the other and i took it in to a major manufacturer to get looked at and they told me it would cost more than the speakers are worth to fix it after parts and labor.....I brought these speakers to Mario at Audio Workshop and right away he knew what the problem was and that it was a very simple inexpensive fix. I am enjoying these speakers now more than ever! I will for sure be going to see Mario next time i need help or have any questions about speakers.
Took my vintage Garrard turntable to them a few years back for a lube/going-through. They couldnt get it right, and in fact the turntable performed worse after I paid for their service. I asked Mario precisely what he set the VTF at, and he just said it doesnt matter--it is correct where it is. The tonearm kept auto-rejecting @1 minute before the end of each LP side, and his answer was that I should buy a newer turntable. Um, ok. Finally took it to a shop up in Tampa last month, and lo and behold, the Tampa shop discovered THE BEARINGS WERE GONE from the tone arm pivot shaft, and there was still original 50-year-old hardened grease in the mechanism that Mario never removed as Id paid him to do.Not recommended for vintage gear repair. Either take your unit up to Tampa for repair, or buy something newer.
The owner isnt a fuzzy cotton candy and rainbows type of guy, but he really kicked ass and got my record player working like a dream. I would give him a 10 star rating of I could!
Reminds me of the old time single location repair shops. Can only be good.
Mario is the Mac Daddy!!Brought my Vintage McIntosh Stereo Equipment, from the 1970s, to Mario for Servicing and to find a problem with my Mac Amp. Mario took the time to listen to my comments on what i thought was wrong, Then shared what he would do to diagnose and track the issue.WOW! does he know his stuff! not only did he find the problem, he cleaned and serviced the 3 pieces i brought him and now my equipment sounds like the day it was brand new. Kind, courteous and professional with prices that match. He will be the only one servicing my equipment.Thank you Mario!
Very unprofessional. I know junior high school kids I should have contacted instead of this deadbeat dump. Steer clear, you will get ripped of.
After repeatedly getting the brush-off from the only other Paradigm retailer in Tampa, I drove down to Bradenton to check out Audio Workshop. Mario was friendly and knowledgeable, and I got a good deal on my speakers. The only criticism is that the demo room is TINY so its hard to get an idea of how speakers will sound in an actual room. Other than that, great place!
Great shop, helpful experienced staff.
We moved from Tampa to Bradenton and needed to have someone very experienced set up my home entertainment system. Since I had an Anthem (Canadian) receiver, I wanted someone familiar with that system. I also needed to purchase and install some rear speakers and wanted Paradigm speakers. I initially spoke with Mario and he coordinated the process and provided consultation when needed. Josh came and expertly connected all the components and speakers. He then installed the rear speakers and set up our Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home remote. His final visit was to update the firmware on the Anthem, the ARC and then do the room balancing for sound. The result is spectacular and I couldnt be more pleased. I was impressed throughout with Joshs knowledge, experience, professionalism and interpersonal skills. I have no hesitation in giving Audio Workshop, Mario and Josh my highest recommendation.
Best installer around. Will help you with custom solution to most situations.
Mario has been around bradenton for as long as I can remember, He knows his stuff, go to him first, he can help or point you were to go !
Great folks to work with and easy to do business with. I love my paradigm subwoofer!
Brought in my Carver M-1.0t amp, MKII Opt Modified by Russ Kall, due to a buzzing sound in my speakers. The amp checked out fine and measured 600W at clipping. We discussed several possible causes for the sound in my speakers. Based on their advise I discovered the source of the buzzing sound to be a dimmer switch. Both Mario and his son are good listeners and very thorough with their diagnostics. I highly recommend them to anyone who has audio repair needs.Jerry D
I brought in my Sony dual cassette deck and my Onkyo turntable for repair at Audio Workshop in Bradenton, Fl. It is locally owned by Mario DeSario. First let me say that it is very difficult to find any place today and have the skill to repair electronic equipment of any type today. Most of that skill has gone by the wayside and plus the fact that we seem to be a throw away society. So it was great to find Mario and his Audio Workshop to repair my equipment. He did a great job, everything works great and his prices are very fair. I would totally recommend Audio Workshop plus they have a lot of cool stuff for sale. Lets support our local businesses.
